Among various tasks of feature reduction, how to search qualified features and then construct the corresponding reduct which satisfies a given constraint is a hot topic. Constraint is the pre-defined condition in feature reduction, it rules two crucial aspects: 1) when the process of searching can be terminated to construct reduct;2. whether a feature/set of features should be added into reduct pool or not. Obviously, such a task of feature reduction is constraint-dependent. However, some limitations may naturally emerge: 1) constraint-independent features are ignored;2. fixed constraint hinders the diverse evaluations of features;3) selected features based on single constraint are powerless to data perturbation. Therefore, an Ensembler Mixed with Pareto Optimality (EmPo) is developed in this study. Firstly, the principle of Restricted Pareto Optimality is proposed to identify constraint-independent features before performing constraint related searching, which indicates a two-stages strategy to feature reduction. Naturally, diverse evaluations of features are achieved in such a process. Secondly, a data perturbation w.r.t. either sample or feature aspect is employed to obtain multiple reductions of features. The objective is to further improve the stability of the classification results based on those multiple reducts. It should also be emphasized that EmPo is a general framework, and most existing approaches to feature reduction can be embedded into it to further improve their performances. Tensor network as an effective computing framework for efficient processing and analysis of high-dimensional data has been successfully applied in many fields. However, the performance of traditional tensor networks still cannot match the strong fitting ability of neural networks, so some data processing algorithms based on tensor networks cannot achieve the same excellent performance as deep learning models. To further improve the learning ability of tensor network, we propose a quantized tensor neural network in this article (QTNN), which integrates the advantages of neural networks and tensor networks, namely, the powerful learning ability of neural networks and the simplicity of tensor networks. The QTNN model can be further regarded as a generalized multilayer nonlinear tensor network, which can efficiently extract low-dimensional features of the data while maintaining the original structure {2.. In addition, to more effectively represent the local {2. of data, we introduce multiple convolution layers in QTNN to extract the local features. We also develop a high-order back-propagation algorithm for training the parameters of QTNN. We conducted classification experiments on multiple representative datasets to further evaluate the performance of proposed models, and the experimental results show that QTNN is simpler and more efficient while compared to the classic deep learning models. © 2.2. Survival prediction is a significant challenge in cancer management. Tumor microenvironment is a highly sophisticated ecosystem consisting of cancer cells, immune cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, nerves and extracellular matrix. The intratumor heterogeneity and the interaction across multiple tissue types profoundly impact the prognosis. However, current methods often neglect the fact that the contribution to prognosis differs with tissue types. In this paper, we propose ProtoSurv, a novel heterogeneous graph model for WSI survival prediction. The learning process of ProtoSurv is not only driven by data but also incorporates pathological domain knowledge, including the awareness of tissue heterogeneity, the emphasis on prior knowledge of prognostic-related tissues, and the depiction of spatial interaction across multiple tissues. We validate ProtoSurv across five different cancer types from TCGA (i.e., BRCA, LGG, LUAD, COAD and PAAD), and demonstrate the superiority of our method over the state-of-the-art methods. In the past few years, text detection approaches have been able to cope with more and more challenging complex scenes. In this field, the arbitrary shape and various scale of text instances are the two most frequently mentioned topics. Among the existing methods, the bounding box prediction methods based on Intersection over Union (IoU) are efficient, but can only handle multi-oriented rectangles. Although arbitrary shape text detection methods have been proposed, these methods are often aimed at curved text. Besides, the post-processing is usually cumbersome. Considering that the affine transformation phenomenon caused by out-plane rotation is more frequent than curved text in real scenario, we design a quadrangle IoU (QIoU) loss to efficiently predict arbitrary convex quadrangle text. Furthermore, we analyze the challenge of variable scale in text detection from the perspective of unbalanced supervision information, and propose a cross-scale knowledge distillation (CSKD) method to improve the detection accuracy of large-scale text. An extensive ablation study demonstrates the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed strategies. During inferring, our method does not consume extra time. Using the basic feature pyramid network for feature extraction, our method achieves state-of-the-art results on several popular datasets for scene text detection.

Dual-energy CBCT imaging plays a crucial role in advanced imaging applications due to its ability to quantify material components. Although there are multiple established systems for dual-energy imaging, they often come with high deployment costs. This study investigates the feasibility of dual-energy material decomposition on a less expensive dual-source CBCT system. Due to the specific geometry of dual-source CBCT, cone-beam (CB) artifacts seriously degrade the material decomposition quality when the direct inversion method is adopted. In this paper, a novel dual-source intra-guided material decomposition framework is proposed to suppress CB artifacts in the material maps. Firstly, a dual-source two-pass algorithm is developed for artifact pre-correction during image reconstruction. Then, the structure of small cone-angle regions from one X-ray source is utilized to guide cone beam artifact removal in large cone-angle regions from another source. Finally, direct matrix inverse material decomposition is applied to the filtered image. Extensive experiments have been conducted on the authentic human phantom and demonstrate that the proposed framework achieves excellent performance in cone beam artifact reduction compared to other methods, and significantly enhances the quality of the material maps.

At present,focused crawler is a crucial method for obtaining effective domain knowledge from massive heterogeneous *** most current focused crawling technologies,there are some difficulties in obtaining high-quality crawling *** main difficulties are the establishment of topic benchmark models,the assessment of topic relevance of hyperlinks,and the design of crawling *** this paper,we use domain ontology to build a topic benchmark model for a specific topic,and propose a novel multiple-filtering strategy based on local ontology and global ontology(MFSLG).A comprehensive priority evaluation method(CPEM)based on the web text and link structure is introduced to improve the computation precision of topic relevance for unvisited hyperlinks,and a simulated annealing(SA)method is used to avoid the focused crawler falling into local optima of the *** incorporating SA into the focused crawler with MFSLG and CPEM for the first time,two novel focused crawler strategies based on ontology and SA(FCOSA),including FCOSA with only global ontology(FCOSA_G)and FCOSA with both local ontology and global ontology(FCOSA_LG),are proposed to obtain topic-relevant webpages about rainstorm disasters from the *** results show that the proposed crawlers outperform the other focused crawling strategies on different performance metric indices.

Effects of Adaptive Random Deceleration on Traffic Flow

Based on the Nagel-Schreckenberg model, an improved cellular automaton traffic flow model is proposed, in which the random deceleration probability of each vehicle is no longer fixed, but is adaptively adjusted according to the local traffic density in its vision and its current velocity. The numerical simulation results show that the maximum traffic capacity of the improved model under the same parameters is greater than that of the Nagel-Schreckenberg model, and is closer to the measured data. In addition, the traffic flow and vehicle velocity under different meteorological conditions are simulated by using the improved model, and the synchronized flow phenomenon consistent with the actual traffic is reproduced. Meanwhile, the results show that under the same parameters, when the traffic density is equal to 0.3, the traffic flow of the improved model increases by about 11% compared with the original model, and when the traffic density increases to 0.6, the traffic flow increases by about 2.%. .

Hybrid Data-Free Knowledge Distillation

Data-free knowledge distillation aims to learn a compact student network from a pre-trained large teacher network without using the original training data of the teacher network. Existing collection-based and generation-based methods train student networks by collecting massive real examples and generating synthetic examples, respectively. However, they inevitably become weak in practical scenarios due to the difficulties in gathering or emulating sufficient real-world data. To solve this problem, we propose a novel method called Hybrid Data-Free Distillation (HiDFD), which leverages only a small amount of collected data as well as generates sufficient examples for training student networks. Our HiDFD comprises two primary modules, i.e., the teacher-guided generation and student distillation. The teacher-guided generation module guides a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) by the teacher network to produce high-quality synthetic examples from very few real-world collected examples. Specifically, we design a feature integration mechanism to prevent the GAN from overfitting and facilitate the reliable representation learning from the teacher network. Meanwhile, we drive a category frequency smoothing technique via the teacher network to balance the generative training of each category. In the student distillation module, we explore a data inflation strategy to properly utilize a blend of real and synthetic data to train the student network via a classifier-sharing-based feature alignment technique. Intensive experiments across multiple benchmarks demonstrate that our HiDFD can achieve state-of-the-art performance using 12. times less collected data than existing methods. Because of the complicated mechanism of ankle injury, it is very difficult to diagnose ankle fracture in clinic. In order to simplify the process of fracture diagnosis, an automatic diagnosis model of ankle fracture was proposed. Firstly, a tibia-fibula segmentation network is proposed for the joint tibiofibular region of the ankle joint, and the corresponding segmentation dataset is established on the basis of fracture data. Secondly, the image registration method is used to register the bone segmentation mask with the normal bone mask. Finally, a semi-supervised classifier is constructed to make full use of a large number of unlabeled data to classify ankle fractures. Experiments show that the proposed method can segment fractures with fracture lines accurately and has better performance than the general method. Image Quality Assessment (IQA) with references plays an important role in optimizing and evaluating computer vision tasks. Traditional methods assume that all pixels of the reference and test images are fully aligned. Such Aligned-Reference IQA (AR-IQA) approaches fail to address many real-world problems with various geometric deformations between the two images. Although significant effort has been made to attack Geometrically-Disparate-Reference IQA (GDR-IQA) problem, it has been addressed in a task-dependent fashion, for example, by dedicated designs for image super-resolution and retargeting, or by assuming the geometric distortions to be small that can be countered by translation-robust filters or by explicit image registrations. Here we rethink this problem and propose a unified, non-training-based Deep Structural Similarity (DeepSSIM) approach to address the above problems in a single framework, which assesses structural similarity of deep features in a simple but efficient way and uses an attention calibration strategy to alleviate attention deviation. The proposed method, without application-specific design, achieves state-of-the-art performance on AR-IQA datasets and meanwhile shows strong robustness to various GDR-IQA test cases. Interestingly, our test also shows the effectiveness of DeepSSIM as an optimization tool for training image super-resolution, enhancement and restoration, implying an even wider generalizability. 1 Copyright © 2.2., The Authors.
