The behavior of natural convection laminar flow of Nanofluids over a horizontal circular cylinder with uniform surface heat flux has been examined. In this study, Copper-Water (Cu-H2O) nanofluid has been chosen with different volume fractions ranging from 0% to 10%. In the present study, the governing boundary layer equations are converted into a dimensionless form, and the resultant non-dimensional set of equations has been transformed into a parabolic system of partial differential equations by applying a specific set of variables. The set of parabolic equations has been numerically solved using an implicit finite difference method. The outcomes of the numerical simulation have been compared and validated with an excellent agreement with the previously published work. The numerical results have been depicted in terms of the velocity and temperature profiles. Finally, the skin friction coefficient (Cf) and the local Nusselt number (Nu) has been outlined to understand the feature of the wall shear stress and the surface heat transfer rate, respectively.

The theory of pattern recognition is one of the directions of scientific and technical development in the field of image analysis and machine vision, etc. The authors consider the possibility of using information systems to improve the quality and accuracy of recognizing emotions on faces from images. The purpose of the research is to develop an application that uses the most effective algorithm for detecting faces and recognizing emotions. The methodology is based on the principles of deep learning, includes the use of convolutional neural networks, their software embodiments. The functional scheme is implemented in the application using the methods of the library of computer vision. Result of the research, a module was developed with the ability to determine the user’s emotions from an image from a webcam in real time. At the testing stage a data set for training was formed. A convolutional neural network was trained. The functional for generating graphs describing the emotional portrait of the user for the entire time of using the module was implemented. In the future, it is planned to improve the quality of neural network recognition, and prepare a web service for integration into mobile applications.

Cloud Computing is a model based on computing system which provides convenient and customizable services to the users for accessing to different cloud applications. It provides a way for storing and accessing cloud data from anywhere via connecting the cloud application utilizing internet. The cloud computing and its related safety problems is one of widely discussed concerns in today generation's research field. While numerous cloud security investigations are previously widespread, there residues a definite distance in properly identifying these issues and find the appropriate solutions. Some studies discuss the problems of virtualization and approach the target, while others talk about access control mechanisms, but what's missing is a standard framework which simultaneously extends the concept of cloud security and describes its specific requirements. In addition, countermeasures given in a survey must clearly illustrate the problem it deals with. This analysis paper took all of these elements into consideration so that the necessary areas were properly connected and a number of open issues were discussed in this area. This paper also reviews the most significant security techniques to data protection and cloud security in the cloud computing. Moreover, security techniques for data protection will be recommended in order to have enhanced security in cloud computing. We report on observations of the effect of Cd2+ ions on the AC electrical properties of stearic acid (SA) thin films in metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) diode-like structure. The insulating thin film was fabricated using 40-layers Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of SA containing Cd2+ ions on hydrophobic n-type silicon (n-Si) substrate. Frequency- dependent capacitance (C-f) and conductance (G/ω-f) characteristics of the Al/SA+Cd2+/Si MIS structure were investigated in dark at room temperature with frequency ranges from 80 kHz to 1 MHz. The capacitance for LB film of stearic acid with Cd2+ ions showed almost no frequency dependence which translated into uniform dielectric value. However, the film AC conductivity shown an exponential frequency-dependent behavior at a signal frequency higher than 100 kHz. The metal-insulator contact resistance is believed to be dominant in the high-frequency range.

Cooperative communication systems can solve the data rate limitations in underwater acoustic channels (UAC) introduced by their half-duplex (HD) nature and bandwidth limitations. In this paper, Hierarchical Modulation (HM) is introduced to both enhance the system throughput and spectral efficiency, as well as to enable various degrees of priority communication links. The proposed system utilizes HM with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing modulation (OFDM) in a two-way relay network (TWRN) using physical layer network coding (PLNC) to exchange information between two nodes operating in HD mode. The performance of the proposed PLNC-TWRN system is analysed via simulations using realistic UAC and numerical results are presented to demonstrate that it can significantly enhance the throughput.

In recent years, the use of scanning laser Doppler vibrometery and full wavefield acquisition has grown to aid the char- acterization of ultrasonic waves and the detection of structural defects. Yet, these methods require a considerable amount of time to acquire full wavefield data. Therefore, there is a significant need to reduce acquisition time. In this preliminary work, we present a transfer learning approach for reducing the number of sampled measurements necessary. Our method utilizes numerical simula- tions, combined with a small number of spatially sampled random measurements from an experimental structure, to reconstruct full wavefield data. Specifically, we use an autoencoder neural network to learn low-dimensional representations of wave propagation from numerical simulations. We then input a few experimental measurements into the neural network to reconstruct full wave- field data. To demonstrate the ability of our framework, we show our initial success in three scenarios. We show reconstruction accuracies of 86% with one-fourth of the total measurements.

In recent years, the underwater image processing has significantly improved due to the technological development. The real challenge is that the poor contrast and noise because of absorption of light and scattering in the oceanic environment inherently disturb these underwater images. Hybrid filters depending on fuzzy for de-noising underwater images is proposed and analyzed clearly. The proposed algorithm is compared with various existing de- noising algorithms such as Gaussian median filter, TMED and median filter. The PSNR and NMSE of each algorithm has been measured and analyzed, which compares the ability to de-noising.
