Head in 1987 was the first person to introduce the concept of splicing system as a theoretical model for DNA based computation using splicing operation. Splicing operation is a method of cutting and recombining DNA molecules under the influence of restriction enzymes such as ligase. Previous researches have proven that splicing systems with finite sets of axioms and rules generate only regular languages. Hence, in order to increase the computational power of the languages generated by splicing systems, several restrictions in the use of rules have been considered. In this paper, simple splicing systems controlled by permutation groups are defined and the computational power of the languages generated by this variable is explored.

The two-dimensional shallow water equations with a particular bottom and the Coriolis’s force f = f0 + Ωy are studied in this paper. The main goal of the paper is to describe all invariant solutions for which the reduced system is a system of ordinary differential equations. For solving the systems of ordinary differential equations we use the sixth-order Runge-Kutta method.

Over the past few years, multi-rotor drones have been widely used for the both military and civilian purposes. In this paper, we are taking steps for finding a method to calculate and keep the distance in order to make the ranges of photos of every UAVs connected according to the lens and flight height. Finally, we succeeded to develop the distance maintaining calculation method via implementing angel of view formula.

The aim of this work is to present methods for identification Biometrics. Which are one of the most important standards used in user identification, through a series of sequential steps. Where the work was done through the adoption of biometrics, and then the composition of the database, the initial processing, and finally the most important features were extracted, which is the end of the first stage of work. In the second phase, the training and testing were carried out through the application of MATLAB which exceed 90%.

The aim of this work was to determine the influence of ligaments and soft tissue on the mechanism of pelvic injuries resulting from shear forces caused by vertical impactors with velocity in the range 1–10 m/s. The elaborated finite element model of the human pelvis (LPC) contains a bi-layered structure of bone, varying stiffness of pelvic ligaments and hyperelastic behavior of cartilage. The performed analysis indicates two limiting values: a velocity of 5 m/s as a limit for bone injuries and a velocity of 3 m/s as a limit for ligament and cartilage destruction. The ligaments having the main role in stabilizing the pelvic girdle under vertical impact load are: sacrospinous, anterior and posterior sacroiliac, iliolumbar, and inferior and posterior pubic. Obtained stress distribution in the pelvis confirms the mechanism of Malgaigne type fracture as described in the literature, indicating the transverse process as a precursor of this fracture causing the stress concentration in the lower part of the pelvis.

Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) display difficulty engaging in social interactions. How does the use of a NAO robot during a social skills intervention affect the speech of children with ASD? This study examined whether the use of a NAO robot during a social skills intervention affects the quantity and quality of speech in six children (mean age = 11.6 yrs., range = 10.5-12.6) with ASD who attended four weekly social skills intervention sessions. The speech quantity was defined as an overall speech rate (utterances per minute), initiation rate (utterances per minute addressing the robot/other child), and response rate (utterances per minute responding to the robot/other child). Mean length of utterance (MLU) in overall speech, initiations, and responses was also measured. A marginally higher initiation rate and overall MLU in speech to the robot were identified in later sessions. Children produced a significantly higher MLU in responses to the robot in later sessions. MLU for initiations were marginally higher than MLU for responses to the robot. No changes in speech rate or MLU in speech directed to other children were identified. This suggests children may require repeated exposure to the NAO robot before changes in speech characteristics are revealed.

This work deals with a detailed review on preparation, extract, use and efficiency of bio-diesel based Mahua plant oil. About 40 recent research papers that were based on the production, use and efficiency of Mahua Biodiesel were reviewed. The necessary information like the production of the mahua biodiesel from mahua oil using various methods, the properties of the biodiesel, its blends and diesel itself, the methods used for the preparation of blends, its performance and the exhaust emission – has been compiled and has been presented in the form of review paper. Indeed, the blends with added catalyst shows the better combustion and emission efficiency compare to diesel itself. So, this work helps the researchers to get an overall idea on different processes and techniques involved in extraction of mahua oil, use of mahua oil (blending with different proportion), several catalyst that can be added with bio-diesel and the best blend that gives better efficiency in terms emission.

SiGe being one of the most diverse, emerging and richest material for MOSFETs is alluring the scientist due to its unique characteristics like high performance, high surface channel mobility and low threshold voltage as compare to that of silicon MOSFETs. In spite of so much cruciality, the performance of SiGe MOSFETs is being controlled by several factors like resistance and junction depth. These factors urged scientists to not relieve on the traditional methods of junction meteorology to utilize the actual potential and high performance of SiGe MOSFETs in terms of their application. Hence, a paradigm shift in junction engineering is being observed during last few years and discussed. The main focus of this paper is to highlight junction metrologies (ion implantation and annealing) that were tested on SiGe MOSFETs and to propose the most efficient and sustainable technique of junction engineering for high performance applications.
