The quality evaluation of software, e.g., defect measurement, gains significance with higher use of software applications. Metric measurements are considered as the primary indicator of imperfection prediction and software maintenance in various empirical studies of software products. However, there is no agreement on which metrics are compelling quality indicators for novel development approaches such as Aspect Oriented programming (AOP). AOP intends to enhance programming quality, by providing new and novel constructs for the development of systems, for example, point cuts, advice and inter-type relationships. Hence, it is not evident if quality pointers for AOP can be derived from direct expansions of traditional OO measurements. Then again, investigations of AOP do regularly depend on established coupling measurements. Notwithstanding the late reception of AOP in empirical studies, coupling measurements have been adopted as useful markers of flaw inclination in this context. In order to develop a novel alcoholism detection method, we proposed a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-based computer vision approach. We first use contrast equalization to increase the contrast of brain slices. Then, we perform Haar wavelet transform and principal component analysis. Finally, we use back propagation neural network (BPNN) as the classification tool. Our method yields a sensitivity of 81.71±4.51%, a specificity of 81.43±4.52%, and an accuracy of 81.57±2.18%. The Haar wavelet gives better performance than db4 wavelet and sym3 wavelet.

In this paper, we used SVM in classifying various types of dates using their images. Dates have interesting different characteristics that can be valuable to distinguish and determine a particular date type. These characteristics include shape, texture, and color. A system that achieves 100% accuracy was built to classify the dates which can be eatable and cannot be eatable. The built system helps the food industry and customer in classifying dates depending on specific quality measures giving best performance with specific type of dates.

Nowadays, online advertising is very famous and evolving over the past decades that users feel that it is annoying and wasting of time to view the advertisements. Presently, technologies have improvise to include data mining technique that is able to study your preferences and behaviors to predict and provide advertisements that suit the users’ needs. The effectiveness of advertising is high due to the system able to gather data behaviors and provide advertisements based on the users’ needs. A multi-criterion statistical model is established to provide user with closest possible matches of advertisements. The proposed model identifies the returning users based on various aspects of behaviors as well as previous session to identify the type of user that previously recorded in the system. Then, the information for the behaviors are collected and then classified into two groups; users’ behaviors, users’ preferences, and survey to obtain top three categories based on the frequencies of revisiting for an advertisement. As a result, the accurate advertisements will be displayed to the online users.

The software tool namely Confidence Interval Calculator (CIC) presented in this paper is designed to compute confidential interval of fuzzy random regression (FRR) model. FRR model uses fuzzy random input-output data to construct confidential interval for prediction. Manual calculation by hand of FRR however requires lengthy time to compute the result. Hence, CIC is introduced to alleviate computational difficulties and to reduce the computational time. The tool provides a function to capture input (fuzzy random) data and to calculate the expected value, and the variance. Technical formulation is embedded in the tool which enables the tool to compute the result correctly. The solution of a technical problem is described with numerical example.

Multiscale mathematical models that incorporate both intracellular and extracellular hepatitis C virus (HCV) dynamics have been developed in recent years to study HCV-host dynamics and antivirals mode of action and efficacy. They were built upon the standard HCV dynamic model that keeps track of uninfected hepatocytes, HCV-infected hepatocytes, and free virus in blood (for each there is a differential equation), along with a fourth equation that considers the intracellular viral RNA (vRNA) dynamics in an infected cell. A multiscale model with vRNA dynamics consideration is substantially more difficult to solve and the governing differential equations are stiff. In one of the derived differential equations there is also an integral involving the vRNA that is more accurately computed by considering previous iterations, impeding the use of canned solvers. To solve this problem we have chosen to implement a stable and efficient numerical method that belongs to the family of adaptive stepsize methods and is implicit, the Rosenbrock method. We provide a user friendly simulator called HCVMultiscaleDyn with a Graphical User Interface that applies this method and is useful to simulate viral dynamics during antiviral treatment.

Nowadays, there are more and more robots replace human being’s job. In recent years, the researches accelerate the technology development of multi rotor drone and make it become the flying robot that can self-stabilize and fly according to the waypoints setting by ground station. Therefore, this project designs a system to detect the efficacy of solar panel by UAV integrated with thermal sensors. Firstly, UAV flies above solar panel, takes picture by thermal sensors and transmits to website automatically. Secondly, the system cuts out the area that out of the panel, examine every pixel of the picture and calculates the ratio of red pixels that present the area of overheat. Finally, the system reports the efficacy of solar panel by program that judges from the ratio of overheat, weather condition, etc. By this way, we can save a lot of time and detect the solar panel safely.

This paper describes ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) that can take sample of contaminated water and soil while the operator operates it on the shore or ship. User can operate ROV wirelessly. ROV is equipped with camera, robot hand, GPS, accelerometer, compass, and other devices. The ROV is aimed to help researchers to research contaminated water and soil that can be applied in and on the lake, river, and sea. The way it operates are syphoning water with mini pump and taking soil sample with robot hand. The result shows that all hardware and software can run well underwater. So that, ROV in this experiment can be used to take sample of contaminated water and soil in the place with maximum a depth of 1m. For the next experiment, this ROV will be tested in other place with a depth more than 1m. however, this ROV will continue to be refined to be maximally utilized.
