Although electric power networks and district heating networks are physically coupled, they are not operated in a coordinated manner. With increasing penetration of renewable energy sources, a coordinated market-based operation of the two networks can yield significant advantages, as reduced need for grid reinforcements, by optimizing the power flows in the coupled systems. Transactive control has been developed as a promising approach based on market and control mechanisms to coordinate supply and demand in energy systems, which when applied to power systems is being referred to as transactive energy. However, this approach has not been fully investigated in the context of market-based operation of coupled electric power and district heating networks. Therefore, this paper proposes a transactive control approach to coordinate flexible producers and consumers while taking into account the operational aspects of both networks, for the benefit of all participants and considering their privacy. A nonlinear model predictive control approach is applied in this work to maximize the social welfare of both networks, taking into account system operational limits, while reducing losses and considering system dynamics and forecasted power supply and demand of inflexible producers and consumers. A subtle approximation of the operational optimization problem is used to enable the practical application of the proposed approach in real time. Predicting Cognitive Function Status in Esrd Patients at the Functional Subnetwork Scale

Background: The topological attribute parameters of the global network are taken as the characteristics from the perspective of the whole. It is constrained to comprehend the subtleties and variances of brain functional networks, which fell short of thoroughly examining the complex relationships and information transfer mechanisms among various regions. Methods: To address this issue, we proposed a novel method for predicting cognitive function status in the patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) at the functional subnetwork scale (CFSFSS). The nodes from different network indicators in the brain functional network were combined to form the functional subnetworks. The area under the curve (AUC) of the topological attribute parameters of the functional subnetworks were extracted as features, which were selected by the minimal Redundancy Maximum Relevance (mRMR). The parameter combinations with improved fitness were searched by the enhanced whale optimization algorithm (E-WOA), so as to optimize the support vector regression (SVR) and solve the global optimization problem of the predictive model. Results: CFSFSS achieved superior predictive performance compared with other existing methods. With mRMR and E-WOA, it exhibited enhanced overall efficiency and technical advancements compared to other methods. Conclusion: The proposed method not only effectively helps to more accurately predict the cognitive function status, but also provides more references for clinical decision-making and intervention of cognitive impairment in ESRD patients. © 2023, The Authors. The splitting algorithms of monotone operator theory find zeros of sums of relations. This corresponds to solving series or parallel one-port electrical circuits, or the negative feedback interconnection of two subsystems. Smartphone malware's rapid development suggests malicious programme developers moving from standard PC systems to smart phone computers. Technology experts are now also developing new methods of anti-malware for adequate security. For the identification of smart phone dangerous applications, this study proposes a Blockchain-based malware mitigation framework (B2MDF) (app stores). For the ultimate judgement, the system combines two internal and external proprietary block chains to establish a private dual blockchain and a blockchain alliance. Blocks produced from both static and dynamically driven function removers are stored in the private internal blockchain stores, whilst blocks for current models are detected in the external blockchain stores. B2MDF also exchanges function blocks with third parties, which allows providers of anti-malware to offer more exact *** rating permissions, we employed the idea of information value. Furthermore, because blockchain has great dependability and cheap cost, we developed a consensus-based blockchain framework for generating more concrete predictions. The top 45 permissions, rated by Information Value, are used to obtain this accuracy.

Weibull distribution analysis of wind power-generating potential on the southwest coast of Aceh, Indonesia

The National Energy Master Plan sets the target that by 2050 the development of renewable energy for Wind Energy Power Plants reaches 60.647 GW throughout Indonesia, while for Aceh Province, it is predicted that wind energy will be able to generate 894 MW. To map this energy potential, further research is still needed to get the best position for the development of Wind Power Plants. This study aims to map the potential of wind energy in the coastal areas of Southwestern Aceh using the Maximum Likelihood method of the Weibull distribution to analyze wind speed from the data provided by the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecast (ECMWF). The area of study covers several districts including Aceh Jaya, Aceh Barat, Nagan Raya, Aceh Barat Daya, Aceh Selatan, Aceh Singkil and Simeulue. The average wind on Weibull distribution for Simeulue is 2.48 m/s with a frequency of 26%, Aceh Singkil 1.54 m/s with a frequency of 40%, Aceh Selatan 1.55 m/s with a frequency of 48%, Aceh Barat Daya 1.55 m/s with a frequency of 50%, Nagan Raya 2 m/s with a frequency of 36%, Aceh Barat 1.54 m/s with a frequency of 38% and Aceh Jaya 2.49 m/s with a frequency of 31%. Meanwhile, the wind power capability ranges from 4,590 watts/m2 – 26,040 watts/m2, making the whole site a low-class wind suitability as a wind power generator.

The issue of providing a communications system, with large frequencies within the range, is one of the main challenges that are required to be provided to users of the free-space optical communications service. In this work, the factors affecting the quality of performance of a free communication system (10 Gbps) were investigated and studied. The obtained results of this system are compared with two wavelengths 1550 nm and 850 nm in terms of farthest data transmission distance, BER, factor of quality and chart of eye in different weather situations using an iterative optimization.

A wearable Gait Assessment Method for Lumbar Disc Herniation Based on Adaptive Kalman Filtering

Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is a prevalent orthopedic condition in clinical practice. Inertial measurement unit sensors (IMUs) are an effective tool for monitoring and assessing gait impairment in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). However, the current gait assessment of LDH focuses solely on single-source acceleration signal data, without considering the diversity of sensor data. It also overlooks the individual differences in motor function deterioration between the healthy and affected lower limbs in patients with LDH. To address this issue, we developed an LDH gait feature model that relies on multi-source adaptive Kalman data fusion of acceleration and angular velocity. We utilized an adaptive Kalman data fusion algorithm for acceleration and angular velocity to estimate the attitude angle and segment the gait phase. Two Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) were used to analyze the gait characteristics of patients with lumbar disc issues and healthy individuals. This analysis included 12 gait characteristics, such as gait spatiotemporal parameters, kinematic parameters, and expansibility index numbers. Statistical methods were employed to analyze the characteristic model and confirm the biological differences between the healthy affected side of LDH and healthy subjects. Finally, a classifier based on feature engineering was utilized to classify the gait patterns of the affected side of patients with lumbar disc disease and healthy subjects. This approach achieved a classification accuracy of 95.50%, enhancing the recognition of LDH and healthy gait patterns. In this paper we deal with stochastic optimization problems where the data distributions change in response to the decision variables. Traditionally, the study of optimization problems with decision-dependent distributions has assumed either the absence of constraints or fixed constraints. This work considers a more general setting where the constraints can also dynamically adjust in response to changes in the decision variables. Specifically, we consider linear constraints and analyze the effect of decision-dependent distributions in both the objective function and constraints. Firstly, we establish a sufficient condition for the existence of a constrained equilibrium point, at which the distributions remain invariant under retraining. Morevoer, we propose and analyze two algorithms: repeated constrained optimization and repeated dual ascent. For each algorithm, we provide sufficient conditions for convergence to the constrained equilibrium point. Furthermore, we explore the relationship between the equilibrium point and the optimal point for the constrained decision-dependent optimization problem. Notably, our results encompass previous findings as special cases when the constraints remain fixed. To show the effectiveness of our theoretical analysis, we provide numerical experiments on both a market problem and a dynamic pricing problem for parking based on real-world data. The development of autonomous drone for document delivery in IPB University

This study aims to design an autonomous hexacopter drone that can be used to deliver documents in IPB University, to replace conventional oil-fueled transportation. The hexacopter drone is designed with autopilot control using a point-to-point flight system based on GPS coordinates. Preliminary research was conducted to examine the delivery of documents between the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) and the Faculty of Agricultural Technology (FATETA). The experimental results showed that the maximum payload of the designed drone is 1 kg. The drone flight tests showed that the drone can reach its destination with good performance. The average error for the unloaded flight test from FMIPA to FATETA is 1.02 m, while from FATETA to FMIPA is 0.53 m. Meanwhile, the average error for flight tests with a maximum payload (1 kg) from FMIPA to FATETA is 1.97 m, while from FATETA to FMIPA is 0.703 m.

Design and analysis of a compact dual-band printed rectenna circuit at WiFi and GSM frequencies for microwave power transmission

In this paper, a dual-band printed rectenna of compact size (38×24) mm2 has been designed and analyzed to work at GSM frequency of 900 MHz and WiFi frequency of 2.4 GHz for wireless power transmission. The purpose of this design is to harvest energy at two different frequencies to increase the probability of receiving power from ambient field. The antenna part of this rectenna is printed on FR4 substrate and has the shape of meander line with two arms for double-band operation. The rectifier part of this rectenna consisted of impedance matching network, AC-to-DC conversion circuit and a DC filter. The design and simulation results of this rectenna have been done with the help of CST 2019 and ADS 2018 software packages. At a received input power of -30 dBm and a load resistance of 1900 Ω, the maximum conversion efficiencies obtained by this rectenna at frequencies of 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz are found as 23% and 42% respectively.
