Considering the diversity of topological structures of parallel mechanisms (PMs), this paper presents an approach for the automated generation of topological structure models based on CAD technology. In this method, joints and links are treated as fundamental elements in the skeleton model of a mechanical system, leading to the development of a library of fundamental components readily available to compose a variety of limbs and PMs. A connection graph and its data structure are then developed for describing, in a hierarchical manner, the assembly information among the fundamental components. Equipped with the knowledge and information mentioned above, the limbs and PMs can finally be assembled automatically by identifying and imposing the geometrical constraints that have been already embedded in the models. The merit of this method lies in that 3D schematic diagrams (termed topological structure models) of various limbs and PMs can be created in an illustrative manner by properly selecting a set of fundamental components and then setting their connections, leading to the digitalized and visible topological structure models that are readily for kinematic performance evaluation. Combined with the CAD-CAE integration technology for the mechanical structure design and static/dynamic performance evaluation, a digital design and simulation framework can be formulated for the rapid design of parallel robotic equipment.

To address abnormal situations such as packaging damage, liquid leakage, and item displacement during logistics package transportation, this paper introduces Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and image recognition technology to achieve real-time anomaly detection and alarm, improving the response speed and accuracy of the logistics system. First, by designing multiple layers of convolution and pooling layers, adding Batch Normalization layers and Dropout layers to prevent overfitting, a CNN deep learning model suitable for logistics package anomaly detection is constructed. key features are extracted through image preprocessing methods such as normalization and data enhancement to ensure that the model has high recognition adaptability to various abnormal situations such as damage and leakage. Secondly, through data enhancement methods such as rotation, scaling, brightness adjustment, and transfer learning using pre-trained models, the model's adaptability in different lighting, angles, and occlusion conditions is improved. Finally, the model is applied to actual monitoring, and real-time alarms are issued for abnormalities such as damage and leakage, which are then fed back to the system closed-loop management. This method is significantly better than traditional methods in terms of detection accuracy and response speed. Under natural light environment, the model detection accuracy is as high as 98.4%, reducing false positives and false negatives. Combining CNN's anomaly detection technology effectively improves the accuracy and efficiency of logistics monitoring and provides technical support for intelligent logistics management.

Waves seriously impact port construction, worldwide route planning, military activities, and wave power generation. To improve the accuracy of significant wave height prediction, we proposed a novel prediction method, a multi-layer perceptron combined with a backpropagation adjustment (MLP-BP) prediction model that combines mutation mode decomposition (VMD) and a simulated annealing optimization algorithm (SA). Firstly, we use the variable modulus method to decompose the significant wave height sequence data and transform the wave height sequence into multiple different sub-modes (IMF) to reduce the complexity and non-stationarity of the data. Secondly, the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) is used to optimize the weight and bias of the MLP-BP neural network to find the optimal parameter configuration and improve the performance and generalization ability of the prediction model. Finally, the decomposed sub-modal components of each significant wave height sequence are inserted into the MLP-BP neural network and the predicted values of each element are summed to obtain the final significant wave height prediction. The prediction results of the SSA-MLP-BP, PSO-MLP-BP, SA-MLP-BP, and VMD-SA-MLP-BP were compared and demonstrated that the VMD-SA-MLP-BP model performed best. The MAE, MAPE, MSE, RMSE, and R2 of the prediction evaluation indexes were 0.036 m, 11.7%, 0.004 m2, 0.067 m, and 0.983, respectively, which performed well in predicting significant wave height. © 2023 IEEE.

According to the parameters of the ABB-IRB2400 robot model, the D-H parameter method is used to establish the robot’s linkage coordinate system and determine the parameter values. The coordinate transformation matrix06T of IRB2400 robot is obtained through forward kinematics analysis, and the inverse kinematics transformation method is used to solve the joint variables of the robot. The feasibility and correctness of the forward and inverse kinematics of the robot are verified by modeling the robot entity and importing ADAMS simulation analysis software. Combining MoveIt’s robot kinematics solver and RRT algorithm motion planning library, RVIZ is used to verify the feasibility of correlation trajectory algorithm for linear and arc interpolation trajectory planning of robot arm, which provides a foundation for weld grinding robot trajectory planning under complex working conditions. © 2022, Politechnica University of Bucharest. This study aims to explore the reform of mechanical drawing teaching and the undergraduate training model with the goal of cultivating high-quality mechanical engineering undergraduate students. Grounded in the concepts of “synergy between science and education” and “integration of competition-oriented education and industry-university collaboration,” this research places talent cultivation as the central focus, linking it with discipline construction and emphasizing scientific research. The study promotes the reform of a collaborative education mechanism known as “integration of competition-oriented education and industry-university collaboration,” effectively establishing a multi-level and multi-dimensional undergraduate training model for mechanical engineering students that incorporates the “dual mentor system” and integrates theory, practice, and application. To apply this model in teaching practice, this research has undertaken the reform of traditional engineering drawing education, specifically addressing the issue of the gap between theory and practice in conventional teaching approaches. The proposed training program not only facilitates the development of innovative mechanical engineering professionals but also offers insights for the reform of undergraduate teaching models in the context of constructing “new engineering disciplines”.

With the rapid advancement of technology, the reliability and efficiency of power systems have become increasingly critical. In power systems, pole-mounted circuit breakers play a vital role. This paper presents a design scheme for an actuation mechanism of a pole-mounted circuit breaker based on new magnetic control materials. By analyzing the working principle of this actuation mechanism, a mathematical model was constructed, and a corresponding virtual prototype model was established using multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS and the dynamics mathematical model of this type of actuation mechanism. key performance parameters of the circuit breaker were optimized using a quantum genetic algorithm. Simulation experiments verified that the proposed parameter settings achieved a closing time of 7.6 ms, demonstrating significant improvements in circuit breaker performance. The results of this study are of great importance for the optimization design and performance enhancement of circuit breakers in power systems.

Based on the requirements of ship resistance towing test, a strain gauge type of resistance instrument has been designed, which consisting of the frame, towing component, course component, measuring component, etc. The towing component is responsible for the towing movement of the ship model, and the course component is responsible for constructing different course angles in the test requirements. An automatic brake mechanism has been equipped in measuring component, which can ensure the stability and accuracy of the tension sensor in towing test. The strength limit on the key components of the resistance instrument has been calculated by finite element analysis software, the optimization has been used in vulnerable components, and the instrument strength and reliability has been insured in the test.

The strengthening of ferrite matrix steel depends on the strengthening mechanism and thermal stability of M23C6 and Laves phases. This study investigated M23C6(Fe,Cr)23C6 and Laves(Fe2Nb) phase-strengthened ferritic steels. The creep microstructure, the interface structure, and the nanoindentation creep behavior of the second phase were studied. Results showed that the dislocation density in (Fe,Cr)23C6 strengthened ferritic steel after creep is lower than Fe2Nb strengthened ferritic steel. The dislocations in the crept (Fe,Cr)23C6 strengthened ferritic steel are straight without accumulation, significantly bending. The dislocations bend and entangle, forming dislocation walls in the crept Fe2Nb-strengthened ferritic steel. The orientation relationships between (Fe,Cr)23C6/Fe2Nb and ferrite matrix are [001]α-Fe//[011](Fe,Cr)23C6, (020)α-Fe//(71[[EQUATION]])(***)23C6,[001]α-Fe//[5[[EQUATION]]]Fe2Nb,(01[[EQUATION]])α-Fe//(03[[EQUATION]])Fe2Nb. The atomic interface mismatch between M23C6/Fe2Nb and the ferrite matrix is 20% of the semi-coherent interface and 1.6% of the coherent interface. The thermal stability of Fe2Nb is better than (Fe,Cr)23C6. The creep stress exponents of (Fe,Cr)23C6 and Fe2Nb in the ferrite matrix are 4.4 and 12.2, respectively. The alloy’s creep deformation follows dislocation climbing over the second phase. Second-phase Fe2Nb strengthening played a more significant role than (Fe,Cr)23C6 in enhancing the ferrite matrix. The results provide a theoretical foundation for developing ferritic heat-resistant steel based on Laves (Fe2Nb) phase strengthening. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
