This paper presents a new IOT system for monitoring and controlling plant cultivation in greenhouse system. The system aims to regulate and monitor the environmental conditions suitable for plant cultivation in real-time. The system utilizes sensors to measure environmental conditions, such as soil moisture sensor, light intensity sensor, temperature sensor, and air humidity sensor. The Node MCU ESP32 is used for processing and controlling these operations. The system is designed to send notifications through Line application and allows farmers to monitor the system's performance and plant growth in real-time via a smartphone application. It can utilize the Blynk IoT application on a smartphone for remotely monitoring and controlling the environmental conditions and provides historical data. This experiment demonstrates that the designed system can successfully cultivate plants and promote better growth compared to traditional cultivation methods with a 13.38% improvement. Additionally, it provides convenience and ease of management for plant cultivation. © 2025 IEEE.

We study strong-field double ionization in a three-electron atom by applying a simplified, reduced-dimensionality model with three active electrons. The influence of the spin-induced symmetry of the spatial part of the wavefunction on the final two-photoectron momentum distribution is discussed. We identify partial momentum distributions originating from different sets of spins of outgoing electrons providing in this way a quantum support connection between V-structure and direct ionization typically explained classically. Changes in the momentum distribution with increasing field amplitude obtained in our simplified model are shown to be well-correlated with experimental data known from the literature. The possible relation between the observed dependencies and different ionization mechanisms is discussed. © 2023, CC BY.

We study the propagation of a domain wall (kink) of the 4 model in a radially symmetric environment defined by a gravity source. This source introduces a Schwarzschild-like geometry. We introduce an effective model that accurately describes the dynamics of the kink center. This description works well even outside the perturbation region, i.e., even for large masses of the gravitating object. We observed that such a spherical domain wall surrounding a star-type object inevitably "collapses", i.e., shrinks in radius towards the origin and offer an understanding of the latter phenomenology. Cosmic rays should obviously generate cascades of product particles while propagating in space as a result of interactions with fields, radiation and matter. Such phenomena, referred to cosmic-ray ensembles (CRE), are expected to differ in shapes, sizes and constituents, and thus became a key point of the Cosmic-Ray Extremely Distributed Observatory (CREDO) Collaboration scientific program. The research dedicated to comprehensive studies of CRE requires an alternative approach to the detection of cosmic rays, taking into account their spatial and/or temporal correlations on the global scale. However, a potential observation of at least parts of CRE at Earth could make a valuable contribution to the up-to-date cosmic ray astrophysics, even though it poses a technical challenge. One of the most common scenarios of CRE formation is the synchrotron radiation of charged particles propagating in omnipresent magnetic fields. We present the updated results of CRE simulations for this case, discussing the physics conditions favourable for the observation of such particle cascades, as well as practical perspectives of this research direction. © Copyright owned by the author(s) under the terms of the Creative Commons.

We present a spatially resolved X-ray magnetic linear dichroism study of high quality micron-sized mixed nickel-cobalt oxide (NCO) crystals. NixCo1-xO were prepared in-situ by high-temperature oxygen-assisted molecular beam epitaxy on Ru(0001) single crystal. To check the effect of incorporating Ni in the cobalt oxide films, three different composition were prepared. The element specific XMLD measurements reveal strong antiferromagnetic contrast at room temperature and magnetic domains up to one micron wide, reflecting the high structural quality of the islands. By means of vectorial magnetometry, the spin axis orientation of the domains was determined with nanometer spatial resolution, and found to depend on the stoichiometry of prepared crystals. © 2023 IEEE.

Toroidal classification and geometric duality in quantum spin systems is presented. Through our classification and duality, we reveal that various bipartite quantum features in magnon-systems can manifest equivalently in both bipartite ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic materials, based upon the availability of relevant Hamiltonian parameters. Additionally, the results highlight the antiferromagnetic regime as an ultra-fast dual counterpart to the ferromagnetic regime, both exhibiting identical capabilities for quantum spintronics and technological applications. Concrete illustrations are provided, demonstrating how splitting and squeezing types of two-mode magnon quantum correlations can be realized across ferro- and antiferromagnetic regimes. © 2024, CC0.

Localization and Other Properties of Electronic States in a Semiconductor Revealed by Their Response to Surface Doping and Band-Bending Potential

Using photoelectron spectroscopy (PES), we study InAs(001) and InAs(110) surfaces, doped with Te atoms to induce strong band-bending phenomena and a formation of two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs). The band structure of the 2DEGs as well as the coexisting 3D bulk electronic structure are investigated. We discuss several schemes to estimate the band-bending potentials at surfaces by PES methods, apropriate in different situations, e.g. in the presence of a signi cant band tailing. We use the Schroedinger-Poisson scheme as well as the Thomas-Fermi method to model the band-bending potential pro les and the 2DEG band energies. For the InAs crystal we nd that the valence bands investigated with PES closely follow the band-bending potential which evidences that valence electronic states are localized to within few nm. In contrast, the conduction band is entirely insensitive to the band-bending potential, evidencing that the extent of electronic states within this band is at least 103 nm. © 2024, The Authors. Magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJ) have been successfully applied in various sensing application and digital information storage technologies. Currently, a number of new potential applications of MTJs are being actively studied, including high-frequency electronics, energy harvesting or random number generators. Recently, MTJs have been also proposed in designs of new platforms for unconventional or bio-inspired computing. In the present work, it is shown that serially connected MTJs forming a multi-state memory cell can be used in a hardware implementation of a neural computing device. The main purpose of the multi-cell is the formation of quantized weights in the network, which can be programmed using the proposed electronic circuit. Multi-cells are connected to a CMOS-based summing amplifier and a sigmoid function generator, forming an artificial neuron. The operation of the designed network is tested using a recognition of hand-written digits in 20 × 20 pixels matrix and shows detection ratio comparable to the software algorithm, using weights stored in a multi-cell consisting of four MTJs or more. © 2021, CC BY.

We show that each set of n ≥ 2 points in the plane in general position has a straight-line matching with at least (5n + 1)/27 edges whose segments form a connected set, and such a matching can be computed in O(n log n) time. As an upper bound, we show that for some planar point sets in general position the largest matching whose segments form a connected set has ⌈n−31 ⌉ edges. Recent ATLAS measurements of quarkonia and open charm production are presented for proton–lead and lead–lead collisions. The studies of charmonia production in ultrarelativistic nucleus–nucleus collisions offer a handle on the properties of the hot and dense quark–gluon plasma created in these collisions. In particular, a strong suppression relative to proton–proton collisions is expected. On the other hand, measurements of quarkonia and charmed meson production in proton–nucleus collisions allow to study cold nuclear matter effects such as initial-state energy loss or nuclear modifications of parton distribution functions. © 2019 Jagellonian university.
