This paper aims to explore RLC equivalent circuit synthesis method forreduced-order models of interconnect circuits obtained by Krylov subspace basedmodel order reduction (MOR) methods. In this paper,we propose an embeddable Input-Output structure Preserving Order Reduction(IOPOR) technique to further preserve the structures of input and output incidencematrices. By combining block structure preserving MOR methods and IOPOR technique,we develop an RLC equivalent circuit synthesis method RLCSYN (RLC SYNthesis).Inline diagonalization and regularization techniques are specifically proposedto enhance the robustness of inductance synthesis. Digital video camera has the properties of large noise, uncertain location of main body and high requirement of real-time. The disadvantages of traditional auto-focusing algorithms were discussed in detail and a new auto-focusing algorithm was proposed. A novel focus measure filter called First Derivative of Gaussian (FDOG) was developed to estimate the degree of focusing correctly by the suppressing high frequency noise. To enable the auto-focusing system to focus on the exact main body, an automatic region-of-interest selection strategy based on the principle of nearest-subject-priority was adopted. Furthermore, combined with mountain-climbing search, binary search and quadratic interpolation, the proposed real-time search strategy greatly reduces the convergence time by about 40%, which enables the video camera to fast focus. The proposed algorithm is successfully implemented on a prototype digital video camera and experiment results are given to demonstrate the advantages of the proposed auto-focusing algorithm.

The proposed algorithm for digital imaging system ensures correct exposure to the main object of scenes with large dynamic range. The image window was divided into M × N tiles. Using the contrast between the main object and the background of large dynamic scenes, the algorithm identified the main object through a certain search process, detected the lighting condition based on the search result, and then assigned different weights to the main object and the background so that the overall brightness level was made to carry more information of the main object. The experiment results show that the lighting conditions of all the scenes for evaluation are correctly detected. For the high dynamic range lighting conditions, the number of preview frames and the exposure error are less than 8.8 frames and 6.56% respectively.
