Design and analysis of a slotted planar antenna with a parasitic ring patch for efficient 5G microwave applications is presented. The antenna design aims to strike a balance between complexity and size efficiency. Its front side features a rectangular patch at the center, comprising L-shaped, T-shaped, and inverse T-shaped elements, alongside four parasitic rings on top. The central feed utilizes a 50-ohm strip line connected to a microstrip line. On the back side, the antenna incorporates three parasitic rings on top, four horizontal strips arranged in an increasing order, and a ground plane with a small rectangular slot. To evaluate its performance, the antenna is simulated using CST Microwave Studio on an FR-4 substrate with overall dimensions measuring 13 × 15 × 1.5 mm3. The results demonstrate an impressive impedance bandwidth of 60.8% and a return loss of –28 dB within the frequency range of 3.2–6 GHz, with a central frequency of 4.6 GHz. Throughout its operational range, the radiation patterns remain constant, exhibiting stable polar patterns and efficient performance with a wide gain of 4.81 dBi and an efficiency of 82%;the proposed antenna proves to be suitable for 5G microwave applications. © 2025 by Begell House, Inc.

In this paper,multi-UAV trajectory planning and resource allocation are jointly investigated to improve the information freshness for vehicular networks,where the vehicles collect time-critical traffic information by on-board sensors and upload to the UAVs through their allocated spectrum *** adopt the expected sum age of information(ESAoI)to measure the network-wide information *** is jointly affected by both the UAVs trajectory and the resource allocation,which are coupled with each other and make the analysis of ESAoI *** tackle this challenge,we introduce a joint trajectory planning and resource allocation procedure,where the UAVs firstly fly to their destinations and then hover to allocate resource blocks(RBs)during a *** on this procedure,we formulate a trajectory planning and resource allocation problem for ESAoI *** solve the mixed integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)problem with hybrid decision variables,we propose a TD3 trajectory planning and Round-robin resource allocation(TTPRRA).Specifically,we exploit the exploration and learning ability of the twin delayed deep deterministic policy gradient algorithm(TD3)for UAVs trajectory planning,and utilize Round Robin rule for the optimal resource *** TTP-RRA,the UAVs obtain their flight velocities by sensing the locations and the age of information(AoI)of the vehicles,then allocate the RBs to the vehicles in a descending order of AoI until the remaining RBs are not sufficient to support another successful *** results demonstrate that TTP-RRA outperforms the baseline approaches in terms of ESAoI and average AoI(AAoI).

A strategy was proposed to predict accurately the dielectric permittivity and dielectric strength based on the Onsager local field *** molecular dynamic simulation was utilised to analyse the dipole moment fluctuation in polyimide(PI)to reflect the polar-isation response of applied electric *** simulation results revealed that the optical dielectric permittivity and static dielectric permittivity were 2.62 and 3.34,showing that the electronic displacement polarisation of the PI acted as a major *** deviation between simulated and measured values of the frequency-dependent relative dielectric permittivity was no more than 5%,which exhibited high *** the polarisation response of the polar groups in the PI was at infrared frequencies,the conductive loss may be the dominant role in 102–106 Hz at room ***,the effect of Joule heat on the structure,dielectric permittivity and Young modulus was considered to accurately predict the dielectric strength of the PI(359 kV/mm),which was in agreement with experimental values in the *** results establish a clear correlation between structural characteristics and dielectric properties of the PI,which would be the theoretical insights into the design and synthesis of the PI with tailored dielectric properties.

The goal of a landmine detection robot is to map the remaining area on a visual map with millimeter precision after covering as much ground as it can show landmines. The prototype land mine detection robot model described in this study offers a visual interface for mapping landmines, modifying PIDs, and aligning cameras. It is also reasonably powerful, accurate, and easy to operate with other sensors. The manual, semi-auto, and auto modes of controlling the differential drive robot are emphasized. Image processing determines the exact location of the robot and provides live reckoning feedback to its dead reckoning servo control. A beat metal detector is a kind of quiet sensor used to locate landmines. The overall objective of the system is to provide the user with something robust, affordable, and easily comprehensible for the user. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, using smartphones the human static and dynamic activities are measured via the inbuilt inertial measurement sensors. The dataset obtained from the experiments carried out on thirty individuals contains all the data regarding the angle change with different activities like walking, laying, sitting, etc. The machine learning techniques are applied to this dataset right from the onset of data cleaning to eliminate outliers and missing values and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to visualize the data and find relation between the variables. For eliminating the redundant data and improve execution time, a feature engineering technique called principal component analysis (PCA) is employed on the dataset. Finally, machine learning algorithms such as logistic regression, support vector machine and linear discriminant analysis are applied to the processed dataset. The accuracy is compared with all the algorithms with logistic regression outperforming the other two mentioned classifiers. These classifier models are found to be useful in applications where it is vital to monitor sensor data such as elderly monitoring, patient rehabilitation, fall detection and so on. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

This article presents a compact antenna for aerospace and microwave communication. Its frequency range spans 6.6–18.7 GHz and boasts high efficiency with 95.6% impedance bandwidth. The design consists of a rectangular patch and two circular elements, connected by strip lines. It measures .31λx.40λx0.033λ in wavelength. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based mobile robots can be powerful everyday aids for persons with severe disabilities, especially if they need assistance in moving voluntarily. With the amalgamation of EEG signal processing, artificial intelligence algorithm and mobile robotics trajectory planning, it is possible to drive a mobile robot using noninvasively recorded brain activity. In this research work, with the help of MATLAB simulations, mobile robot path navigation has been shown where the target location was retrieved using EEG signal data processing. A fuzzy logic controller has been designed and presented to conduct the obstacle avoidance mechanism based on fuzzy logic. The fuzzy logic approach has been made functional with 25 sets of rules, dictating the movement positions. The autonomous navigation system uses this position to direct the mobile robot to the intended place while avoiding collisions with outside barriers. IIoT is the integration of conventional IoT principles into industrial operations. IIoT has a wide range of practical applications, including but not limited to supply chain management, connected cars, smart grids, smart cities, and smart homes. Regrettably, these systems are increasingly becoming the focus of cybercrime attacks. Machine learning is a promising technology for creating and implementing resilient security measures in IIoT networks. A new and innovative approach to detecting cyberattacks in the IIoT is proposed in this document, through the use of a hybrid machine classifier (HMC). The HMC model is a unique amalgamation of different ML models, such as K-nearest neighbor (KNN), extra trees (ET), gradient boosting (GB), AdaBoost (AB), linear discriminant analysis (LDA), ), naive Bayes (NB), support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RFlinear regression (LR), and classification and regression tree (CART). The DS2OS dataset is used to evaluate the proposed method's effectiveness. Several performance metrics, including recall, precision, accuracy, specificity, F1 score, detection rate, and ROC are used to evaluate the system's performance. The proposed model successfully distinguishes between normal and attack traffic, achieving an accuracy rate of 99.7% and 99.8%, respectively. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method, its performance metrics were compared to those of other advanced attack detection algorithms. The outcomes demonstrated that the proposed model outperformed other ML and DL-based techniques © 2023 IEEE.
