With the advent of DNA microarrays, it is now possible to use the microarrays data for tumor classification. Yet previous works have not use the nonnegative information of gene expression data. In this paper, we propose a new method for tumor classification using gene expression data. In this method, we first select genes using nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF) and sparse NMF (SNMF). Then we extract features of the selected gene data by virtue of NMF and SNMF. At last, support vector machines (SVM) was applied to classify the tumor samples based on the extracted features. To better fit for classification aim, a modified SNMF algorithm is also proposed. The experimental results on three microarray datasets show that the method is efficient and feasible.

One kind of combustible gas alarms based on industrial Ethernet was designed to prevent the gas leakage in industrial production sites, The alarm adopted the high performance microprocessor LPC2214 as the main chip. The embedded operating system μC/OS-Ⅱand TCP/IP protocol stack uIP running on LPC2214 constitute a development platform of application of the combustible gas alarm, The test shows that it can automatically and continuously detect combustible gas in industrial production sites in several positions;it can give out sound-light alarm and take protective measures immediately against the gas leakage; and it can send the detected data to PC through the Ethernet interface to realize the remote detection. The designed project provides a reference to design industrial devices based on industrial Ethernet

Subspace Semi-supervised Fisher Discriminant Analysis

Fisher discriminant analysis (FDA) is a popular method for supervised dimensionality reduction. FDA seeks for an embedding transformation such that the ratio of the between-class scatter to the within-class scatter is maximized. Labeled data, however, often consume much time and are expensive to obtain, as they require the efforts of human annotators. In order to cope with the problem of effectively combining unlabeled data with labeled data to find the embedding transformation, we propose a novel method, called subspace semi-supervised Fisher discriminant analysis (SSFDA), for semi-supervised dimensionality reduction. SSFDA aims to find an embedding transformation that respects the discriminant structure inferred from the labeled data and the intrinsic geometrical structure inferred from both the labeled and unlabeled data. We also show that SSFDA can be extended to nonlinear dimensionality reduction scenarios by applying the kernel trick. The experimental results on face recognition demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed algorithm.

Kind of simplified algorithm for multi-fault test generation

Since there are a lot of exclusive OR operations in Boolean difference algorithm, especially in solving high-order difference equation, a kind of test generation simplified method with constraint conditions is proposed. By analyzing the Boolean difference algorithm,the result obtained was that Boolean functionchanges with variables, so Boolean difference equations can be expressed into identity. To make faults propagate to output, the constraint conditions should be put, so test patterns can be obtained only by solving the identity and constraint conditions without exclusive OR operations in this algorithm. By examples, it has been proved that simplified algorithm is correct and simple, and it is verified that test patterns can detect given faults by VB (Visual Basic) simulation.

Efficiency-aware and fairness-aware joint-layer optimization for downlink data scheduling in OFDM

Efficiency and fairness are two crucial issues to be considered for resource alloca- tion in multi-user wireless networks. Based on the joint optimization of physical layer and data link layer, an optimization model is derived to achieve efficient and fair downlink data scheduling in multi-user OFDM wireless networks by maximizing the total utility function with respect to the average waiting time of user queue. A dynamic sub-carrier allocation algorithm （DSAA） based on the optimization model is proposed in order to obtain the maximization of the total scheduling utility. Effi- ciency is improved by combining DSAA with time scale interference predictor （TSIP） which at large time scales predict ON/OFF period of user data with temporal corre- lation structure across multiple time scales in multi-user interference environment. Simulation results verify the efficiency and fairness of the scheme.

PdPc-PANI modified SAW sensor and phosphorous-containing toxic gas detection

Aimed at the problem of quickly detecting phosphorus-containing toxic gas, we used home-made hybrid PdPc-PANI as the material for sensitive film and designed a binary channel SAW sensor. We expound the basic principle of the sensor and deduce that when using organic film as the intermediate medium of channel, different frequency output Δf was superimposed by a mathematical model using the two mechanisms of physical chemistry adsorption. According to the conditions of sound wave oscillation, we designed a signal gathering circuit whose oscillation frequency is 146 ± 5 MHz. Using lithium tantalate as piezoelectric substrate, through MEMS micro-fabrication we made finger-cross electrodes couple and hot film. We adopted vacuum deposition technology to make material of sensitive film into film, which modified the center of the SAW channel to compose the SAW sensor. The testing result indicates that when material has the best sensitivity, the mixture ratio is PdPc0.35PANI0.65. When the chip is heated to 60-80C, it can increase the performance, the responsive time is less than or equal to 30 s;The gas concentration of output and testing is consistent with that in the mathematic model, and is the N-style linear relation of linear change rate -110 kHz (mg/m3). The SAW sensor counteracts the interference of gasoline oil and carbon dioxide and so on;Through the checking of stability for 80 days, Δf is less than or equal to +0.1 kHz, which meets the requirement for practical use.

The CuCl2/CuPc sensor based on MEMS nanophase-pore A12O3 base plate and its mechanism study

Taking the 90-100 nm hollow column Al2O3 film as the base plate, the CuCl2/CuPc sensor chip with the φ0.2 mm micro channels was designed and manufactured by using MEMS micro-machining method. By vacuum coating, CuCl2 hybrid ornamenting CuPc was evaporated to form the gas sensitive film, and through the micro shell packaging of it, the microstructure sensor was manufactured. This made the detecting mode of active air suction availiable, and the response time and gas sensitivity increased. SEM analysis showed that the better surface appearance and film dimension were obtained: the Al2O3 film-base plate is 0.25mm in thickness;its flank is a columnar compact body;its surface appears 990-100 nm nanophase-pore active state. The Pt films used as the electrode and the heater are 500nm in thickness, arranged columnarly and densely. The sensitive film is 150nm in thickness with continuous and normal arrangement. The micro shell is 150-200 μm in depth. The testing result indicates that the sensor has well sensitivity to Cl2, which is more than 5 times of that when the Cl2 concentration is 0.01%. The sensor's response time is less than 30s. The impacts of aerating state and heating voltage on the sensor's sensitivity were analyzed and the sensitive mechanism of CuPc organic semiconductor was discussed.

Circuits model of transformer for direct analysis and calculation

The methods used for analysis and calculation of the different voltage levels in power network are complex and can't direcdy analyze and calculate. According to the network theories of electro circuit, an equivalent circuit of transformer is proposed, which consist of operational amplifier in this paper. An engineering model of transformer is established by means of the voltage controlled voltage and circuit controlled circuit with the ideal operational amplifier, furthermore, the theoretic network equation is obtained from the electro circuit and the simulation analysis is conducted. Results of simulation show that equivalent circuit of transformer can be replaced by the engineering model of transformer, and the network equation of the model meets the equation of transformer. Thus the direct simulation analysis and calculations at different voltage levels can be conducted in the power network.

The combination of the chaotic theory and the cryptography is an important study field of the image encryption. Classical Arnold cat map can change the position of image pixel points through iteration, but these pixel points will return to the original position after iterating many times. It is obvious not enough to carry on the encryption by using it only. If the encrypted result with cat map is carried to Lu chaotic map to encrypt again, it can attain the purpose of confusion and diffusion through changing the pixel value of each point. The system security lies in the initial sensitivity of chaotic map. By using the Matlab to simulate, comparing with the encryption of single map, the method has the high improvement in anti-attacking. © 2007 IEEE.

Research of the test generation algorithm based on search state dominance for combinational circuit

On the basis of EST (Equivalent STate hashing) algorithm, this paper researches a kind of test generation algorithm based on search state dominance for combinational circuit. According to the dominance relation of the E-frontier (evaluation frontier), we can prove that this algorithm can terminate unnecessary searching step of test pattern earlier than the EST algorithm through some examples, so this algorithm can reduce the time of test generation. The test patterns calculated can detect faults given through simulation.
