Today, Agricultures has become a significant element of people's life. Among them fruits and vegetables are a great thing for healthy lives. Classification of fruits and vegetable are difficult for normal person because of some same similarities like shape and color. Also, Fruits and Vegetables classification is an important process in industries applications as well as local market. Lots of similarities available between fruits like apples, pears and peaches, and that kinds of fruits are generally used in daily routine. As well as some vegetables are same in shape, so it will be difficult to differentiate in this type of situation for old persons. The previous research for solution of this type of problem for classification of fruits CNN is used but the problem in this research is when they use the self-made datasets then their accuracy decreases as compare to public datasets accuracy increases. To solve this type of problem, here produce a kind of algorithms in the paper to classify fruits and vegetable, using deep leaning technique such as VGG16 and DenseNet169 model have capability to extract the feature of images very deeply using various small filters so it provide a better result. On this premise, it was used to classify fruit kinds against a complex background and integrated with data improvement technology for future usage. It might be helpful for human for automatic differentiate the both categories. This project is implemented in the python programming language and the dataset used Fruits and Vegetables Image Recognition Dataset for the classification. Which will help to differentiate between Fruits and Vegetables with high accuracy rate. For the implementation of this project used Python programming and this implementation using the tool like Jupiter and Kaggle Notebook and used GPU for highspeed execution. © 2024 IEEE.

Marine vessels are equipped with advanced and integrated complex machines that operate in challenging conditions, where the failure rate is high. One of the most vital elements of these machines is fault diagnosis and maintaining 100 percent operational states. Any machinery breakdown at sea during maritime operations can have severe consequences leading to operational impacts and reducing combat efficiency. The existing maintenance routines - PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) and CBPM (Condition Based Predictive Maintenance) are reactive approaches that may miss early signs of material degradation, leading to unplanned machinery breakdown at sea. An efficient method to counter this issue in real time is thermal imaging. The dataset required to develop a thermal prognostic model for real-time machinery health detection is not available. This paper presents a systematic approach to develop a prognostic model for real time machinery health detection via thermal imaging. We have developed a custom thermal image dataset representing various machinery conditions-normal, defective and degraded. We have developed our real-time prognostic model 'Thermal Prognostic Model'. This model targets fuel systems to prevent major fires and accidents at sea by predicting potential failures and taking corrective actions with mAP50 0.956, precision 0.945 and recall 0.957. © 2025 IEEE.

Recently, deep learning techniques have received widespread attention in code vulnerability and vulnerability detection. However, there are some problems with current vulnerability detection techniques, firstly, because of the non-homogeneity of vulnerability categories and quantities, there are omission false positives and overfitting problems for vulnerabilities with a small amount of data. Second, the existing detection methods have limited ability to characterize the code, there is insufficient depth of characterization, does not contain all of its vulnerability characteristics or is interspersed with useless information. Finally, the current research does not use the powerful feature mining capability of pre-trained models and does not employ model fusion to increase the effectiveness of model vulnerability detection. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a new deep learning based pre-trained model for code vulnerability detection tool VulD-CodeBERT. By fine-tuning CodeBERT, a code adaptation extension for pre-trained models developed by Microsoft, the CodeBERT model can solve the problem of not being able to learn the vulnerability patterns due to insufficient data, thus resulting in missed false alarms. The sequence output from the CodeBERT model are added to a BiLSTM network with an attention mechanism to mine the local key features of the vulnerabilities combined with the global features of the pooler output from the CodeBERT model to deeply mine the dependencies between the vulnerability statements and derive the probability of the existence of the vulnerability. For vulnerability types that are difficult to uncover captured features or the number of samples is not enough, a polynomial plain Bayesian classifier is used for detection, and finally the two models are combined to deeply mine the vulnerability features, thus solving the problem of difficult and small samples, and reducing the leakage rate and false alarm rate. This study delves into the significant role played by Quantum Dot Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (QD-SOAs) in meeting the ever-growing bandwidth demands. QD-SOAs offer a unique blend of cost-effectiveness, integration capabilities, wide bandwidth, rapid responsiveness, robust power output, stability, and spectral adaptability, driving notable advancements in optical communication systems. In this work, we introduce a novel two-wavelength amplifier structure based on Quantum Dot Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers (QD-SOAs) that utilizes quantum dots of different sizes to achieve efficient amplification at specific mid-infrared wavelengths. This innovative approach, which incorporates quantum dots with varying sizes, enables enhanced performance by optimizing the amplification process for each specific wavelength. Furthermore, this work demonstrates the use of tailored optical pumping mechanisms that enhance the carrier recovery process and reduce carrier relaxation times in the active region. This novel optical pumping technique leads to a significant increase in the efficiency and speed of the amplifier, distinguishing this study from others in the field. Simulation results provide detailed insights into the complex interplay between carrier interactions and gain spectra, offering a comprehensive understanding of QD-SOA operational dynamics. The proposed Quantum Dot Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (QD-SOA) achieves significant advancements in optical communication, offering maximum amplification rates of 26.9 and 19.9 times for QD1 and QD2, respectively, and bandwidths of 12 THz and 15 THz. The study highlights the role of quantum dot size, homogeneous and inhomogeneous broadening, and optical pumping in enhancing gain and performance, demonstrating the potential of QD-SOAs for high-gain, wide-bandwidth applications in photonic systems. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2025.

Corrosion poses a significant challenge in industries due to material degradation and high maintenance costs, making effective inhibitors essential. Recent studies suggest expired pharmaceuticals as alternative corrosion inhibitors, but identifying the most efficient compounds can be time-consuming. This study applies machine learning models, particularly Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR), to predict corrosion inhibition efficiency (CIE). The developed model is integrated into a web-based application, enabling real-time, accurate CIE predictions. Results show GBR as the more precise model for predicting CIE, with low error rates. The streamlit-based web application offers a user-friendly platform, facilitating quick identification of suitable inhibitors. It is flexible, supporting analysis beyond corrosion inhibitors, and significantly enhances the efficiency of the evaluation process. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Vehicular network technology has made substantial advancements in recent years in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Vehicular Cloud Computing (VCC) has emerged as a novel paradigm with a substantial increase in data exchange within Vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). VCC integrates cloud computing, vehicular networking, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. It enables Infrastructure-to-Vehicle (I2V), Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), and Vehicle-to-Device (V2D) communication. VCC optimizes vehicle, cloud infrastructure, and IoT resources while addressing significant communication security and vehicle-user privacy challenges. To address these issues, we developed an RFID-based authentication protocol for VCC based on a Henon map using a hash function. In addition, we also incorporated a Physical Unclonable Function (PUF) to resist physical tampering attacks. We validate the protocol's security formally and informally. The formal security analysis is conducted through a widely used RoR model. We use the Scyther simulation tool to verify the proposed protocol's security against various attacks. Moreover, we compare the performance of our protocol with similar existing protocols across important performance parameters such as communication and computation overheads and security attributes. The proposed protocol yields substantial improvements, demonstrating a 40.74% reduction in computation overhead and a 13.03% decrease in communication overhead as compared to related protocols, delivering both enhanced performance and resource efficiency. The analysis demonstrates its capacity to support secure communication in the VCC environment and satisfy desirable security attributes. © 2024 IEEE.

Fuzzing is one of the most effective methods currently available for detecting web vulnerabilities. However, traditional fuzzing suffers from issues such as low coverage and limited diversity in test cases. To address these issues, we propose a way to generate test cases based on dynamic feature libraries and attack models by analysing the characteristics of SQL and XSS. Additionally, we introduce a genetic algorithm to guide the population's evolution by monitoring the state changes of the web application. Furthermore, we improved the selection phase of the genetic algorithm to optimally deform multiple iterations for use cases with low fitness values in order to preserve the population diversity to expand the attack capability of the test cases and based on this the SPAFuzz fuzzy testing tool was implemented. Experimental results show that SPAFuzz is able to detect more network vulnerabilities than Sqlmap and Powerfuzzer. © 2024 IEEE.

The energy demand for Internet of Things (IoT) applications is increasing with a rise in IoT devices. Rising costs and energy demands can cause serious problems. Fog computing (FC) has recently emerged as a model for location-aware tasks, data processing, fast computing, and energy consumption reduction. The Fog computing model assists cloud computing in fast processing at the network's edge, which also exerts a vital role in cloud computing. Due to the fast computing in fog servers, different quality of service (QoS) approaches have been proposed in various sections of the fog system, and several quality factors have been considered in this regard. Despite the significance of QoS in Fog computing, no extensive study has focused on QoS and energy consumption methods in this area. Therefore, this article investigates previous research on the use and guarantee of Fog computing. This article reviews six general approaches that discuss the published articles between 2015 and late May 2023. The focal point of this paper is evaluating Fog computing and the energy consumption strategy. This article further shows the advantages, disadvantages, tools, types of evaluation, and quality factors according to the selected approaches. Based on the reviewed studies, some open issues and challenges in Fog computing energy consumption management are suggested for further study. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

The rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has increased security weaknesses, rendering networks vulnerable to advanced cyber-attacks. Traditional detection systems frequently encounter difficulties in real-time anomaly detection and resource limitations, leaving IoT systems exposed. This study presents a hybrid model that combines Deep Belief Networks (DBN) for hierarchical feature extraction with Gradient Boosting (GB) to improve classification accuracy. Driven by the increasing incidence and complexity of cyber threats, the study seeks to rectify significant deficiencies in IoT security by providing a scalable, efficient, and high-performance detection system. Experimental findings confirm the model's efficacy, attaining 98.5% accuracy, an F1-score of 0.97, and a recall of 0.97, markedly surpassing current methodologies. The study addresses the issues of protecting IoT networks, suggests a comprehensive detection methodology, and offers a comparative analysis of performance indicators, laying the groundwork for refined, versatile approaches to counter new threats in IoT ecosystems. © 2024 IEEE.

Platelet counting is considered an essential factor for the diagnosis of blood clotting disorders as well as other illnesses as COVID-19 and Leukemia. Hemocytometer-based manual techniques are labor-intensive and prone to errors, especially in dynamic settings where platelet clumping develops over time. This work presents a novel method based on a collection of regression and object detection models- MobileNetv2, EfficientDetD0, and SSD MobileNet-that were trained on a large number of microscopic blood smear images. Multiple models have been trained and analysed to find out which models perform well for our dataset and problem. This study demonstrates how deep learning and object detection in blood platelet counting can revolutionize the field by increasing diagnostic precision and efficiency in healthcare systems. Out of all the models trained, we observed that EfficientDet D0 gave us the best performance, with a precision of 0.64, mAP of 0.96 and recall of 0.65. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
