Color conversion media (CCM) are crucial for realizing cost-effective, high-resolution micro-LED and OLED displays. In this work, we developed green and red organic-perovskite bilayer CCM that combine the PLQY and color purity of perovskite quantum dots (PeQDs) and the strong blue absorption of perylene-based organic emitters. The bilayer with thickness of 300 nm showed over 99% blue absorption and PLQY of 77% and 61% for green and red CCM, respectively. © 2024 John Wiley and Sons Inc. All rights reserved.

Smart Home technology offers technological concepts that can be controlled through smart devices to make it easier for the community. Therefore, smart home technology is starting to seize the home electronics market in Indonesia, especially in the city of Jakarta. This study aims to determine the integration of conventional technology into smart home technology for people in Jakarta. The research model in this study uses UTAUT2 which analyzes nine variables, namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Cost, Perceived Ease of Use, Social Influence, Perceived Compatibility, Trust, Perceived Pleasure, and Effort Expectations, Intention to Use Smart Home technology. After the responses were received, data analysis was carried out using the PLS-SEM approach with the SmartPLS application. The results of this study show that there are many people who live in Jakarta who are helped by the presence of smart home technology. However, there are some people who don't really know how to use a smart home because of a lack of knowledge about this technology. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to tackle complex tasks, multi-chiplet systems integrate various types of chiplets such as CPUs, GPUs, and other accelerators on the active interposer. Interposer Network-on-Chip (NoC) serves as the foundational infrastructure for interconnecting chiplets. The rich and varied traffic characteristics of these chiplets lead to diverse network requirements and pose additional challenges for the design of NoC. Firstly, different chiplets exhibit unique traffic patterns and network requirements. The competition among these different types of chiplets can prevent the system from achieving optimal performance. Secondly, adaptive routing is more adept at managing the dynamic traffic patterns within heterogeneous systems than deterministic routing. However, managing deadlock is critical for network correctness. Prior strategies for deadlock resolution often fail to adequately consider packets of different priorities, potentially hindering overall performance enhancement in multi-chiplet systems. This paper introduces the Priority-Aware Deadlock Recovery Algorithm (PARA) for multi-chiplet systems. By analyzing packet distribution characteristics within a deadlock cycle, it is observed that breaking the deadlock cycle can be accomplished by permitting head-of-line (HoL) blocking packets to depart. Additionally, the Priority-aware FIFO (PFIFO) has been introduced, supporting three modes: normal, priority, and reserve. The proposed PARA achieves a balance between deadlock recovery, HoL blocking alleviation, and priority scheduling. The experimental results indicate that PARA achieves comparable performance with reduced overhead.

Dividing a single System-on-Chip (SoC) into multiple chiplets and connecting them using 2.5D packaging technology is becoming a widely adopted approach to enhance chip scale and performance. However, when multiple chiplets are integrated to form a chiplet-based system, the Network-on-Chip (NoC) that interconnects these chiplets can be susceptible to deadlock. Additionally, modularity is a specific concern, as it involves integrating chiplets of different functions, sizes, manufacturing processes, and so on. However, physical layout constraints and potential vertical link failures may result in irregular topologies, which further complicates the design of both fault-tolerant and load-balanced routing algorithms. To tackle these challenges, a Hybrid Deadlock Recovery algorithm for Irregular NoC (HDRI) in multi-chiplet systems is proposed. This algorithm shows adaptability in irregular topologies, additionally exhibiting fault-tolerance capabilities. HDRI features two modes that can dynamically adapt to the network status. Upon detecting a deadlock, it recovers from the deadlock through the coordination of inter-chiplet packets. To be specific, HDRI seeks to break the deadlock by either forwarding or recycling the blocked packets, which respectively correspond to low and high load modes. Experimental results demonstrate that HDRI offers a 7.5% reduction in latency and an area overhead of less than 1.1%.

We propose a model driven approach for web services composition, a way allowing specifying web services and their composition at a high level of abstraction and generating the implementation of such composition. Web services are described by WSDL (Web Service Description Language), and then translated into high-level models, which can be composed according to a composition scheme. The MDA (Model Driven Architecture) is used to support our approach for generating BPEL code and WSDL Description from the high-level web service models. A case study highlights the benefits of our proposal and illustrates the automatic generation of web services composition. © 2022 IEEE.

We proposed a novel target-driven fluid simulation method based on the weighted control model derived from the spatial geometric features of the target shape. First, the spatial geometric characteristics of the target model are taken into account to set the color field weights of control particles. This enabled the full expression of geometric characteristics of the target model, and improve the shape accuracy of controlled fluid. Then, the fluid is controlled to form the target shape under driving constraints, wherein we proposed a new adaptive constraint mechanism that enables efficient target shape generation. Finally, a new density constraint between the control particles and the controlled fluid particles is proposed to ensure the incompressibility of fluid during control. Compared to the state-of-the-art target-driven fluid control methods, our method achieves higher precision fluid control with higher efficiency. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

In this paper, the problem of collaborative vehicle sensing is investigated. In the considered model, a set of cooperative vehicles provide sensing information to sensing request vehicles with limited sensing and communication resources. A base station (BS) determines the subset of sensing request vehicles that each cooperative vehicle will serve and the sub-regions that each cooperative vehicle will detect. We formulate an optimization problem aiming to maximize the number of successfully detected sub-regions of sensing request vehicles while satisfying the cooperative sensing energy requirement by jointly determining the cooperative vehicle association and the sensing sub-region selection. To solve this problem, we propose a graph attention based reinforcement learning (RL) algorithm that can generate the graph information vectors based on the correlation between each cooperative vehicle and each sensing request vehicle. Using the learned graph information, the joint cooperative vehicle association and sensing sub-region selection strategy will be determined. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can improve the number of successfully detected sub-regions of sensing request vehicles by up to 12.5% compared to the conventional RL algorithm without using graph attention networks (GANs). © 2024 IEEE.

Narrow-precision fixed-point (INT) computation is a significant approach for reducing memory requirements and enhancing the performance of accelerators for Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). Different DNNs, as well as different layers within the DNNs, may exhibit varying numerical distributions, necessitating INT formats with different minimum bit-widths. Therefore, DNN accelerators need to support multi-precision INT computations to strike a better balance between DNN inference accuracy and performance. However, existing precision-scalable accelerators face challenges such as low bandwidth utilization, insufficient utilization of computing resources across different precision modes, and complex circuit structures with associated overhead. In this paper, we propose (1) a hardware-friendly Combining-Like-Terms GEMM (CLT-GEMM) scheme that supports multiple computing modes of 2/4/8 bits and their combinations to align with the various bit-width settings of DNNs; (2) and subsequently design an efficient systolic accelerator with scalable precision, named BitShare, which features DataMap module and Multi-mode adder-tree-based accumulators. Compared to the state-of-the-art precision-scalable design, BitBlade, our accelerator achieves a 57.25% reduction in bandwidth requirement and exhibits an improvement of $1.14\times$ and $1.12\times$ in area and power efficiency $(2\mathbf{b}\times 2\mathbf{b})$ , respectively.
