Emotion regulation (ER) is a process responsible for altering emotions' reactions and expressions as well as situations that simulate such feelings to better respond to environmental ***, ER is actually a mere mental and behavioral process that many of us already perform consciously and unconsciously. In this issue, with the imperious role of emotions in learning process which they crucially influence student's cognitive performances and academic outcomes, several researchers proposed different methods and tools for regulating learners' negative emotions while learning in online environment. In the present paper, we discuss the current and original research works that apply different strategies and methods for emotion regulation in different smart environments (i.e., Intelligent Tutoring systems) by adopting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach.

This paper reports on the NTIRE 2023 Quality Assessment of Video Enhancement Challenge, which will be held in conjunction with the New Trends in Image Restoration and Enhancement Workshop (NTIRE) at CVPR 2023. This challenge is to address a major challenge in the field of video processing, namely, video quality assessment (VQA) for enhanced videos. The challenge uses the VQA Dataset for Perceptual Video Enhancement (VDPVE), which has a total of 1211 enhanced videos, including 600 videos with color, brightness, and contrast enhancements, 310 videos with deblurring, and 301 deshaked videos. The challenge has a total of 167 registered participants. 61 participating teams submitted their prediction results during the development phase, with a total of 3168 submissions. A total of 176 submissions were submitted by 37 participating teams during the final testing phase. Finally, 19 participating teams submitted their models and fact sheets, and detailed the methods they used. Some methods have achieved better results than baseline methods, and the winning methods have demonstrated superior prediction performance. Copyright © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

With the cloud repository service furnished by the cloud computing, users can comfortably arrange themselves as a cluster and distribute information effectively. In order to empower public verifier to audit the distributed information, clients in the cluster need to Figure out signatures on complete chunks of collaborative information. Every client in the cluster modifies and signs his respective chunks, and deploys in the cloud server. Hence specific chunks of shared information are normally signed by specific clients. If anyone of the customers' is found malicious, he is immediately repudiated from the cluster. The prevailing clients in the cluster are permitted to re-sign the chunks that were earlier signed by this eliminated client. This approach is inefficient due to the massive amount of collaborative information in the cloud. By exploiting the approach of proxy re-signatures, the CSP is acknowledged to re-sign chunks in support of the prevailing clients during customer repudiation. When many clients deploy the same information to the cloud repository, repository space has identical copies, hence deduplication technology is usually utilized to lower the capacity and bandwidth prerequisites of the utilities by removing repetitious information and hoarding only an original replica of them. In order to assimilate both data honesty and deduplication in cloud, we present a novel Secure Two Level Deduplication and Auditing of Shared Data in Cloud (STLDAS) mechanism. Experimental results show that our mechanism achieves secure deduplication and appreciable improvement in tag generation.

Geospatial data analysis is an emerging area of research today due to the potential to enable varied location-aware services. The existing centralized cloud-based analysis becomes time and computing-intensive for huge amount of geospatial data processing. This paper addresses the challenge of time and power-efficiency in QoS-aware geospatial query resolution. We propose a cloudlet based hierarchical paradigm, namely Geo-Cloudlet, where the cloudlets contain the geospatial data of the districts. The state and national level geospatial data are stored inside the state cloud and country cloud respectively. The query resolution is performed by either the cloudlet or by the state cloud or country cloud depending upon the geographical region related to the query. The experimental analysis illustrates that the proposed architecture Geo-Cloudlet reduces the latency up to 61.3% and power consumption up to 61.1% over the use of only remote cloud servers for geospatial query resolution.

Background: Despite major advances in artificial intelligence (AI) research for healthcare, the deployment and adoption of AI technologies remain limited in clinical practice. In recent years, concerns have been raised about the clinical, technical, ethical and legal risks associated with healthcare AI. To increase adoption in the real world, it is essential that AI technologies are trusted and accepted by patients, clinicians, health organisations and authorities. This paper describes the FUTURE-AI framework as the first international consensus guideline for trustworthy AI in healthcare. Methods: The FUTURE-AI consortium was founded in 2021 and now comprises 117 interdisciplinary experts from 50 countries representing all continents, including AI scientists, clinical researchers, biomedical ethicists, and social scientists. Over a two-year period, the consortium established guiding principles and best practices for trustworthy and deployable AI through an iterative process comprising an in-depth literature review, a modified Delphi survey, and online consensus meetings. Findings: The FUTURE-AI framework was established based on six guiding principles for trustworthy AI in healthcare, i.e. Fairness, Universality, Traceability, Usability, Robustness and Explainability. Through consensus, a set of 30 best practices were defined, addressing technical, clinical, socio-ethical and legal dimensions of trustworthy AI. The recommendations cover the entire lifecycle of healthcare AI, from design, development and validation to regulation, deployment, and monitoring. Interpretation: FUTURE-AI is a structured, risk-informed framework which provides guidance for constructing healthcare AI tools that will be trusted, deployed and adopted in real-world clinical practice. Researchers are encouraged to take the recommendations into account in proof-of-concept stages to facilitate future translation towards clinical practice of healthcare AI. Database outsourcing is one of the important utilities in cloud computing in which the information Proprietor (IP) transfers the database administration to the Cloud Service Provider (CSP) in order to minimize the administration cost and preservation expenses of the database. Inspite of its immense profit, it undergoes few security issues such as privacy of deployed database and provability of search results. In the recent past, few of the studies have been carried out on provability of search results of Outsourced Database (ODB) that affords correctness and completeness of search results. But in the existing schemes, since there is flow of data between the information Proprietor and the clients frequently, huge communication cost prevails at the information Proprietor side. To address this challenge, in this paper we propose Efficient Auditing for Outsourced Database with Token Enforced Cloud Storage (EAODBT). The proposed scheme reduces the large communication cost prevailing at the information Proprietor side and achieves correctness and completeness of search results even if the mischievous CSP knowingly sends a null set. Experimental analysis show that the proposed scheme has totally reduced the huge communication cost prevailing between information Proprietor and clients, and simultaneously achieves the correctness and completeness of search results.

Integrating a weighted-average method into the random walk framework to generate individual friend recommendations

Friend recommendation is a fundamental service in both social networks and practical applications,and is influenced by user behaviors such as interactions, interests, and activities. In this study, we first conduct in-depth investigations on factors that affect recommendation results. Next, we design Friend++, a hybrid multi-individual recommendation model that integrates a weighted average method(WAM) into the random walk(RW) framework by seamlessly employing social ties, behavior context, and personal information. In Friend++, the first plus signifies recommending a new friend through network features, while the second plus stands for using node features. To verify our method, we conduct experiments on three social datasets crawled from the Sina microblog system(Weibo). Experimental results show that the proposed method significantly outperforms six baseline methods in terms of recall, precision, F1-measure, and MAP. As a final step, we describe a case study that demonstrates the scalability and universality of our method. Through discussion, we reach a meaningful conclusion: although common interests are more important than user activities in making recommendations, user interactions may be the most important factor in finding the most appropriate potential friends.

For increasingly complex communication demands of large-scale AI communication systems, the Space-Air-Ground Integrated Network (SAGIN) better caters to demands but also raises concerns about resource scarcity and diversity. This paper innovatively combines Graph Pointer Neural Networks (GPNN) and Reinforcement Learning (RL) to enhance resource allocation efficiency. The method leverages the advantages of GPNN in handling graph data and RL in optimizing decisions in dynamic environments. It also targets the optimization goal of maximizing resource allocation while minimizing deployment latency. This paper begins by modeling SAGIN and elucidating the SAGIN logical architecture based on Software-defined Networking (SDN). Subsequently, it introduces an SFC deployment algorithm aimed at joint optimization of resource allocation and latency. The algorithm leverages GPNN and RL to deploy virtual nodes and links, with the goal of optimizing resource allocation and deployment latency. Experiment findings conclusively demonstrate that the efficacy of proposed algorithm in effectively weighing limited heterogeneous resources and minimum mapping delay. Notably, when compared to three other SFC mapping algorithms MLRL, NFVdeep, and RL, the proposed algorithm consistently outperforms them, with an average improvement of 10.17% in long-term average reward/cost, 11.21% in link resource utilization ratio, 15.34% in node resource utilization ratio, and 16.38% in acceptance ratio.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming scientific research, including proteomics. Advances in mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics data quality, diversity, and scale, combined with groundbreaking AI techniques, are unlocking new challenges and opportunities in biological discovery. This article's main contributions are twofold: 1) to demonstrate how to apply the general European Union's High-Level Expert Group's (EU HLEG) guidelines for trustworthy AI in practice for the domain of healthcare and 2) to investigate the research question of what does 'trustworthy AI' mean at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, we present the results of a post-hoc self-assessment to evaluate the trustworthiness of an AI system for predicting a multiregional score conveying the degree of lung compromise in COVID-19 patients, developed and verified by an interdisciplinary team with members from academia, public hospitals, and industry in time of pandemic. The AI system aims to help radiologists to estimate and communicate the severity of damage in a patient's lung from Chest X-rays. It has been experimentally deployed in the radiology department of the ASST Spedali Civili clinic in Brescia, Italy, since December 2020 during pandemic time. The methodology we have applied for our post-hoc assessment, called Z-Inspection®, uses sociotechnical scenarios to identify ethical, technical, and domain-specific issues in the use of the AI system in the context of the pandemic. © 2020 IEEE.
