The intelligent system controls the subsystems of each aircraft in real time to ensure the normal development of the tasks of the aircraft system. In the process of system communication, the control system is required to strictly control the correctness of the control algorithm flow and the accuracy of the control sequence in order to ensure the safety of the aircraft system. This paper uses UPPAAL, a formal model detection tool based on time automata theory, to formally model and validate the algorithm flow of an intelligent system and a subsystem. First, the algorithm flow of the intelligent system is analyzed, and then it is formally modeled using the time automaton method. Second, the properties that need to be verified are extracted from the algorithm flow and described with the formal language BNF. Finally, the function and performance correctness are automatically verified using the UPPAAL model detection tool. The experimental results verify that the intelligent system meets the security, accessibility and activity requirements. © 2021 IEEE.

Due to the interaction of structural meso-scale and geometric macro-scale features, composite aero-structures are inherently multi-scale in nature. In addition, complex manufacturing processes lead to the appearance of defects at multiple scales. These defects bring extra dimensions to the multi-scale problem which discourage the use of a scale separation hypothesis. Despite the growing knowledge of the types of composite characteristic defects, for large scale aerostructures, their location and exact geometry remain unknown or are only observable with difficulty. Hence, a large-scale uncertainty quantification (UQ) problem must be solved. The primary challenge is the cost of the associated numerical simulation. Therefore, to tackle this problem, an efficient multiscale generalized finite element (FE) method has been developed within the open-source software package DUNE (https://***/). Thanks to its modularity, our method has been integrated into an Offline/Online framework allowing a very efficient exploration of defects in of the material parameters. ©2022 Bénézech et al.

A hybrid algorithm for quadratically constrained quadratic optimization problems

Quadratically Constrained Quadratic Programs (QCQPs) are an important class of optimization problems with diverse real-world applications. In this work, we propose a variational quantum algorithm for general QCQPs. By encoding the variables on the amplitude of a quantum state, the requirement of the qubit number scales logarithmically with the dimension of the variables, which makes our algorithm suitable for current quantum devices. Using the primal-dual interior-point method in classical optimization, we can deal with general quadratic constraints. Our numerical experiments on typical QCQP problems, including Max-Cut and optimal power flow problems, demonstrate a better performance of our hybrid algorithm over the classical counterparts. The Internet of Things (IoT) has made it possible for health institutions to have remote diagnosis, reliable, preventive, and real-time decision-making. However, the anonymity and privacy of patients are not considered in IoT. Therefore, this article proposes a blockchain-based anonymous system, known as GarliMediChain, for providing anonymity and privacy during COVID-19 information sharing. In GarliMediChain, garlic routing and blockchain are integrated to provide low-latency communication, privacy, anonymity, trust, and security. Also, COVID-19 information is encrypted multiple times before transmitting to a series of nodes in the network. To ensure that COVID-19 information is successfully shared, a blockchain-based coalition system is proposed. The coalition system enables health institutions to share information while maximizing their payoffs. In addition, each institution uses the proposed fictitious play to study the strategies of others in order to update its belief by selecting the best responses from them. Furthermore, simulation results show that the proposed system is resistant to security-related attacks and is robust, efficient, and adaptive. From the results, the proposed proof-of-epidemiology-of-interest consensus protocol has 15.93% less computational cost than 26.30% of proof-of-work and 57.77% proof-of-authority consensus protocol, respectively. Nonetheless, the proposed GarliMediChain system promotes global collaborations by combining existing anonymity and trust solutions with the support of blockchain technology. © 2007-2012 IEEE.

How (not) to Build Quantum PKE in Minicrypt

The seminal work by Impagliazzo and Rudich (STOC’89) demonstrated the impossibility of constructing classical public key encryption (PKE) from one-way functions (OWF) in a black-box manner. Quantum information has the potential to bypass classical limitations, enabling the realization of seemingly impossible tasks such as quantum money, copy protection for software, and commitment without one-way functions. However, the question remains: can quantum PKE (QPKE) be constructed from quantumly secure OWF? A recent line of work has shown that it is indeed possible to build QPKE from OWF, but with one caveat. These constructions necessitate public keys being quantum and unclonable, diminishing the practicality of such "public" encryption schemes — public keys cannot be authenticated and reused. In this work, we re-examine the possibility of perfect complete QPKE in the quantum random oracle model (QROM), where OWF exists. Our first main result: QPKE with classical public keys, secret keys and ciphertext, does not exist in the QROM, if the key generation only makes classical queries. Therefore, a necessary condition for constructing such QPKE from OWF is to have the key generation classically "un-simulatable". Previous results (Austrin et al. CRYPTO’22) on the impossibility of QPKE from OWF rely on a seemingly strong conjecture. Our work makes a significant step towards a complete and unconditional quantization of Impagliazzo and Rudich’s results. Our second main result extends to QPKE with quantum public keys. The second main result: QPKE with quantum public keys, classical secret keys and ciphertext, does not exist in the QROM, if the key generation only makes classical queries and the quantum public key is either pure or "efficiently clonable". The result is tight due to these existing QPKEs with quantum public keys, classical secret keys, quantum/classical ciphertext and classical-query key generation require the public key to be mixed instead of pure;or require quantu

Conservation of parity plays a fundamental role in our understanding of various quantum ***,it is difficult to observe in atomic and molecular processes induced by a strong laser field due to their multiphoton character and the large number of states *** we report an effect of parity in strong-field Rydberg-state excitation(RSE)by comparing the RSE probabilities of the N_(2) molecule and its companion atom Ar,which has a similar ionization potential but opposite parity of its ground ***,we observe an oscillatory structure as a function of intensity with a period of about 50 TW∕cm^(2) in the ratio between the RSE yields of the two species,which can be reproduced by simulations using the time-dependent Schrödinger equation(TDSE).We analyze a quantum-mechanical model,which allows for interference of electrons captured in different spatial regions of the Rydberg-state wave *** the intensity-dependent RSE yield,it results in peaks with alternating heights with a spacing of 25 TW∕cm^(2) and at the same intensity for both ***,due to the opposite parities of their ground states,pronounced RSE peaks in Ar correspond to less pronounced peaks in N_(2) and vice versa,which leads to the period of 50 TW∕cm^(2) in their *** work reveals a novel parity-related interference effect in the coherent-capture picture of the RSE process in intense laser fields.

TensorMD: Scalable Tensor-Diagram based Machine Learning Interatomic Potential on Heterogeneous Many-Core Processors

Molecular dynamics simulations have emerged as a potent tool for investigating the physical properties and kinetic behaviors of materials at the atomic scale, particularly in extreme conditions. Ab initio accuracy is now achievable with machine learning based interatomic potentials. With recent advancements in high-performance computing, highly accurate and large-scale simulations become feasible. This study introduces TensorMD, a new machine learning interatomic potential (MLIP) model that integrates physical principles and tensor diagrams. The tensor formalism provides a more efficient computation and greater flexibility for use with other scientific codes. Additionally, we proposed several portable optimization strategies and developed a highly optimized version for the new Sunway supercomputer. Our optimized TensorMD can achieve unprecedented performance on the new Sunway, enabling simulations of up to 52 billion atoms with a time-to-solution of 31 ps/step/atom, setting new records for HPC + AI + MD. Isomerization in highly excited states of triply charged carbon dioxide ions produced by intense laser fields

It is commonly accepted that the isomerization process primarily occurs in lowly charged molecular states, while highly charged states typically favor a direct fragmentation pathway through Coulomb repulsion. In the current experiment with an intense 800-nm laser field, a three-body isomerization pathway leading to intermediate O22+ formation and subsequent dissociation is observed in highly excited states of CO23+. It is confirmed by the calculated potential energy curves that CO23+ molecular ions in highly excited states with a linear geometry could transition through conical intersections into low-lying states with a bond angle around 70∘ (e.g., 62A1→12A1, 102B1→12B1), finally leading to oxygen molecule ions formation via isomerization. The present findings demonstrate that isomerization-induced change in molecular structures is a universal and nonnegligible phenomenon, even in triply charged molecular ions, providing insights into the photoinduced ultrafast processes in Earth's primitive atmosphere and benefit the understanding of CO2-dominated planetary atmospheres.

The importance of the immune system (IS) in tuberculosis (TB) drug development is often underestimated because of the intricate nature of experiments and the specialized knowledge needed. In vitro and animal studies fall short in replicating the intricate reactions of the human IS to drugs and infections. In this study, we present our initial efforts in employing an in silico approach to comprehend how an individual’s IS impacts the efficacy of therapy, particularly in managing mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) infection and minimizing the risk of relapse. We employed a well-established agent-based IS simulator called C-IMMSIM. We conducted simulations to investigate the long-term outcomes of TB disease in a virtual cohort infected with Mtb over a 50-year period. Our simulations revealed that individuals with competent IS showed a high success rate in containing Mtb infection. Furthermore, to better understand the dynamic interactions between Mtb and the IS, we deliberately introduced specific IS deficiencies, thus successfully inducing short-term relapses and mortality. These results confirm the model’s ability to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the interactions between Mtb and the IS.
