Aiming to address the inefficiencies in existing internal voxelization algorithms, a solution has been proposed to use a two-dimensional depth buffer table to record the interval range of surface voxels, reducing the number of internal voxels to be checked. The complexity of this algorithm is independent of the model's complexity. the voxel model is stored using a non-uniformly subdivided octree structure, where if a particular layer's node and all of its child nodes are internal voxels, there is no need for further subdivision, reducing storage space. Experimental results indicate that the improved algorithm can run correctly while achieving better time and space efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

A Systematic Survey for Differential Privacy Techniques in Federated Learning

Federated learning is a distributed machine learning technique that trains a global model by exchanging model parameters or intermediate results among multiple data sources. Although federated learning achieves physical isolation of data, the local data of federated learning clients are still at risk of leakage under the attack of malicious individuals. For this reason, combining data protection techniques (e.g., differential privacy techniques) with federated learning is a sure way to further improve the data security of federated learning models. In this survey, we review recent advances in the research of differentially-private federated learning models. First, we introduce the workflow of federated learning and the theoretical basis of differential privacy. Then, we review three differentially-private federated learning paradigms: central differential privacy, local differential privacy, and distributed differential privacy. After this, we review the algorithmic optimization and communication cost optimization of federated learning models with differential privacy. Finally, we review the applications of federated learning models with differential privacy in various domains. By systematically summarizing the existing research, we propose future research opportunities.

Co-free Li-rich layered oxides(LLOs)are emerging as promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries due to their low cost and high ***,they commonly face severe structural instability and poor electrochemical activity,leading to diminished capacity and voltage ***,we introduce a Co-free LLO,Li_(1.167)Ni_(0.222)Mn_(0.611)O_(2)(Cf-L1),which features a cooperative structure of Li/Ni mixing and stacking *** structure regulates the crystal and electronic structures,resulting in a higher discharge capacity of 300.6 mA h g^(-1)and enhanced rate capability compared to the typical Co-free LLO,Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.2)Mn_(0.6)O_(2)(Cf-Ls).Density functional theory(DFT)indicates that Li/Ni mixing in LLOs leads to increased Li-O-Li configurations and higher anionic redox activities,while stacking faults further optimize the electronic interactions of transition metal(TM)3d and non-bonding O 2p ***,stacking faults accommodate lattice strain,improving electrochemical reversibility during charge/discharge cycles,as demonstrated by the in situ XRD of Cf-L1 showing less lattice evolution than *** study offers a structured approach to developing Co-free LLOs with enhanced capacity,voltage,rate capability,and cyclability,significantly impacting the advancement of the next-generation Li-ion batteries.

To meet the requirements of electromagnetic(EM)theory and applied physics,this study presents an overview of the state-of-the-art research on obtaining the EM properties of media and points out potential solutions that can break through the bottlenecks of current ***,based on the survey of three mainstream approaches for acquiring EM properties of media,we identify the difficulties when implementing them in realistic *** a focus on addressing these problems and challenges,we propose a novel paradigm for obtaining the EM properties of multi-type media in realistic ***,within this paradigm,we describe the implementation approach of the key technology,namely“multipath extraction using heterogeneous wave propagation data in multi-spectrum cases”.Finally,the latest measurement and simulation results show that the EM properties of multi-type media in realistic environments can be precisely and efficiently acquired by the methodology proposed in this study.

The proposed Address Resolution Protocol (CPI-ARP) is designed for the Cyber-Physical Internet (CPI) environment, integrating physical and digital logistics networks. By extending traditional ARP mechanisms, CPI-ARP addresses the practical requirement for coordinated asset tracking and state awareness of vehicles and Physical Shipment Units (PSUs) within global logistics systems. The protocol enables coordinated interaction between digital and physical operations by linking logical network addresses (PIP) with physical addresses (PMAC) and physical locations. Key challenges related to synchronizing network and physical address systems, including scalability, mobility, and real-time data synchronization, are addressed in this protocol. Performance evaluations through simulation experiments under various network conditions demonstrate CPI-ARP’s ability to reduce latency, improve packet delivery, and support logistics system responsiveness in intra-city and cross-border contexts. These findings pave the way for further development and standardization of CPI networks, contributing to the optimization of global logistics operations. © 2014 IEEE.

Securing the uninterrupted data flow is crucial in the fast-advancing Internet of Things (IoT) market. This work investigates the incorporation of elliptic Galois cryptography and matrix XOR coding steganography to improve data security. The suggested solution employs the elliptic Galois cryptography protocol to encrypt sensitive data from diverse medical records. The private information is embedded within images through the matrix XOR encoding steganography algorithm. The Adaptive Firefly optimization approach is used to improve the efficiency of utilizing cover blocks for steganography. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is evaluated using various modern approaches. We analyze the efficiency and security of the proposed approach by comparing it with a previous hybrid method employing the New York State Department of Health dataset. The results unequivocally validate that our approach offers enhanced safety in Internet of Things (IoT) applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Information Retrieval system facilitates the retrieval efficiency of the user's requirement from a collection of information resources. In this research work, Genetic Algorithm (GA) with various fitness functions are implemented for retrieving the relevant document for the given textual query. To increase the efficiency of the retrieval system extended keywords are added to the retrieval system using query reformulation method. Furthermore, the selection procedure namely fitness proportionate selection is used to identify the best fit individual among the chosen population. This selection algorithm assumes that, for the chosen population, the fittest individuals have a greater chance of endurance than weaker ones. The performance of the proposed system is evaluated with three different datasets solely consists of 20,322 documents are analyzed using various matching functions and their results are examined. © 2024 IEEE.

Needle electrodes are widely used in the research of corona *** at the problem of needle electrode discharge in a large-scale space(tens or even hundreds of centimetres),a hybrid model was proposed in the previous ***,its indis-pensable multiple iterations result in huge computation and further limit its wide ***,a strategy to improve the computing efficiency by setting initial values in different computational domains is put forward in this *** types of setting initial values(global constant,partition constant and partition exponent)are simulated and compared in *** calculation results show that the calculation efficiency can be increased by 1.4 times simply through setting initial values of charged particles as different constants for the divided subdomains,and further be improved by 4.3 times by setting those in the ionization region as an exponential *** extension of the pro-posed strategy has also been discussed under various voltages,which shows that the results under other voltages can be quickly obtained based on the fitted coefficients under a specific voltage,and the improvement can reach up to 10 *** accuracy of calculated results has been demonstrated by a needle-plate electrode device with a vertical distance of 25 *** research provides an effective strategy for improving the computing efficiency of corona discharge in a large-scale space,and implies the potential in optimizing the analyses of complex electrodes.

In response to the 'carbon peaking and carbon neutrality' goals, the energy structure in China has undergone a great transformation. Construction of the new power system has begun. The proportion of renewable generation has increased gradually. However, the operation and scheduling of the power system are influenced by the increasing renewable generation. This paper develops a multi-timescale flexible industrial load aggregation response method based on the K-means clustering analysis. First, the K-means method is used to cluster the daily load curves of different industries to obtain the typical electricity consumption behaviors. Second, the visual models of flexible industrial load are established based on the results of clustering analysis. Finally, the optimization model is constructed to generate the aggregation strategy in different timescales. The effectiveness of the developed method is verified via a load aggregator simulation case. © 2024 IEEE.

Active disturbance-rejection methods are effective in estimating and rejecting disturbances in both transient and steady-state *** paper presents a deep observation on and a comparison between two of those methods:the generalized extended-state observer(GESO)and the equivalent input disturbance(EID)from assumptions,system configurations,stability conditions,system design,disturbance-rejection performance,and extensibility.A time-domain index is introduced to assess the disturbance-rejection performance.A detailed observation of disturbance-suppression mechanisms reveals the superiority of the EID approach over the GESO method.A comparison between these two methods shows that assumptions on disturbances are more practical and the adjustment of disturbance-rejection performance is easier for the EID approach than for the GESO method.
