6D pose estimation is widely used in robot tasks such as sorting and grasping. RGB-D-based methods have recently attained brilliant success, but they are still susceptible to heavy occlusion. Our critical insight is that color and geometry information in RGBD images are two complementary data, and the crux of the pose estimation problem under occlusion is fully leveraging them. Towards this end, we propose a new color and geometry feature fusion module that can efficiently leverage two complementary data sources from RGB-D images. Unlike prior fusion methods, we conduct a two-stage fusion strategy to do color-depth fusion and local-global fusion successively. Specifically, we fuse the color features extracted from RGB images into the point cloud in the first stage. In the second stage, we extract local and global features from the fused point cloud using an ASSANet-like network and splice them together to obtain the final fusion features. We conducted experiments on the widely used LineMod and YCB-Video datasets, which shows that our method improves the prediction accuracy while reducing the training time. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents a solar-powered remote-controlled Flying Probe-Inspired In-Circuit Tester (FPICT) designed to improve individuals’ knowledge and practical skills in the Test Engineering Education (TEE) domain. The proposed system consists of a user-friendly modern website that offers three main functions: (a) access to TEE-related documentation and tests, (b) a real-time webcam feed for remote monitoring, access, control, and execution of real-time tests on multiple Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) using the FPICT platform, and (c) performance assessment of users’ TEE knowledge improvement. The effectiveness of the FPICT in enhancing TEE knowledge is evaluated by comparing the score distribution of users before and after the initial tests. Additionally, the power consumption of the FPICT platform is measured, and the feasibility of powering the system with solar energy is investigated. Experimental results demonstrate that the remote-controlled FPICT successfully increases the TEE-related knowledge of web users by an average of $26 \%$ over an average duration of 50 minutes, highlighting its efficacy in teaching theoretical concepts of In-Circuit Testing (ICT) and developing practical skills in the Flying Probe Testing (FPT) domain.

Different countries may use E-health in Health systems that include all the institutions, organizations, and resources that are devoted to promote, sustain, or restore health. The basic goal of E-health projects is to enhance the delay of the service. Healthcare data now are being moved and collected from Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) environment. Different researches shows that recent E-health application is deployed in distributed computing and especially cloud computing is being used more frequently. Most of these applications are based on intelligent algorithm’s such as KNN, SVM and deep learning algorithms etc… Which require more height power computing and storage capacity, but cloud computing with this delicate algorithm and with the sensitive health domain has some tradeoffs in handling the large amount of data from different IoMT devices, so it effects the delay which can cause risk. We propose Edge computing to address the limitations of cloud. By transferring some of the computing to the network’s edge, edge computing can significantly increase processing efficiency. In order to accomplish our goal, we first deploy our health application based on IoMT environment in a cloud. Then, we run it in an edge, and we analyze the response times in each of these situations. The experimental study proves that the proposed approach reduces delay in response time compared to the use of clouds.

The current research on cross-platform instant messaging user association is mainly divided into two categories: based on user attributes and based on user behavior. Methods based on user attributes mainly identify users through multiple attributes such as user name and multi-platform user information association based on cell phone number, but user association is not possible when multi-platform user information is inconsistent and users do not grant their address book permissions. Methods based on user behavior mainly calculate the similarity between user trajectories features such as geographic location frequency and co-occurrence, but this method lacks the user’s information, which leads to the inability to fully excavate the sequential features of the trajectory and affects the accuracy of trajectory matching. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a cross-platform instant messaging user association algorithm based on temporal trajectories (CPTrajst). We firstly place probes in the area where the target may appear so as to obtain user information, gets user trajectory, then processes the trajectory and performs two trajectory matches, finally associate users of different platforms whose trajectories match, thus increasing the accuracy and reliability of cross-platform instant messaging user association. We conducts specific experiments for users of WeChat and Momo, the most commonly used instant messengers in China. The results show that we can achieve reliable association for these two types of instant messaging users and the user association accuracy can reach 99.5%, which is better than the existing user association algorithms based on trajectory matching. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

In recent years, researchers have developed several techniques to accurately count the number of people in a crowded retail environment for human behavior analysis, ranging from vision and feature based approaches to machine-learning and deep learning approaches. Due to the availability and affordability of recent advanced technologies such as depth sensors and high computing powers as well as the availability of big data, the need for building accurate models to detect and count people in crowded environments arises. Deep learning approaches has proven to be highly accurate especially when there is enough data to train the model and high computation powers. People detection and counting is a challenging problem. due to several issues such as occlusion, light variations, complex backgrounds to name a few. To cope with these issues, we utilize a top-view configuration depth data to train our model. We propose a convolutional encoder decoder architecture consisting of a resnet50 encoder trained on the ImageNet dataset as a transfer learning technique and we built the decoder part of the model as a novel contribution, for segmenting and counting customers heads in a crowded retail stores where there are more than 6 individuals per square meter without compromising people privacy because the camera does not record people’s faces. The objective of our method is to segment and count people using the publicly available TV-Head Dataset and People Counting DataSet (PCDS). The results demonstrate that our model is robust and can be used for real time people counting with accurate results. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Speech Emotions recognition has become the active research theme in speech processing and in applications based on human-machine interaction. In this work, our system is a two-stage approach, namely feature extraction and classification engine. Firstly, two sets of feature are investigated which are: the first one is extracting only 13 Mel-frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) from emotional speech samples and the second one is applying features fusions between the three features: zero crossing rate (ZCR), Teager Energy Operator (TEO), and Harmonic to Noise Rate (HNR) and MFCC features. Secondly, we use two types of classification techniques which are: the Support Vector Machines (SVM) and the k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN) to show the performance between them. Besides that, we investigate the importance of the recent advances in machine learning including the deep kernel learning. A large set of experiments are conducted on Surrey Audio-Visual Expressed Emotion (SAVEE) dataset for seven emotions. Programmable logic controllers(PLCs)play a critical role in many industrial control systems,yet face increasingly serious cyber *** this paper,we propose a novel PLC-compatible software-based defense mechanism,called Heterogeneous Redundant Proactive Defense Framework(HRPDF).We propose a heterogeneous PLC architecture in HRPDF,including multiple heterogeneous,equivalent,and synchronous runtimes,which can thwart multiple types of attacks against PLC without the need of external *** ensure the availability of PLC,we also design an inter-process communication algorithm that minimizes the overhead of *** implement a prototype system of HRPDF and test it in a real-world PLC and an OpenPLC-based device,*** results show that HRPDF can defend against multiple types of attacks with 10.22%additional CPU and 5.56%additional memory overhead,and about 0.6 ms additional time overhead.

Efficient and accurate early prediction of Alzheimer's disease (AD) based on the neuroimaging data has attracted interest from many researchers to prevent its progression. Deep learning networks have demonstrated an optimal ability to analyse large-scale multimodal neuroimaging for AD classification. The most widely used architecture of deep learning is the Convolution neural networks (CNN) that have shown great potential in AD detection. However CNN does not capture long range dependencies within the input image and does not ensure a good global feature extraction. Furthermore, increasing the receptive field of CNN by increasing the kernels sizes can cause a feature granularity loss. Another limitation is that CNN lacks a weighing mechanism of image features;the network doesn't focus on the relevant features within the image. Recently,vision transformer have shown an outstanding performance over the CNN and overcomes its main limitations. The vision transformer relies on the self-attention layers. The main drawbacks of this new technique is that it requires a huge amount of training data. In this paper, we combined the main strengths of these two architectures for AD classification. We proposed a new method based on the combination of the Cross ViT and Wide Residual Squeeze-and-Excitation Network. We acquired MRI data from the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) and the Open Access Series of Imaging Studies (OASIS). We also proposed a new data augmentation based on the self attention progressive generative adversarial neural network to overcome the limitation of the data. Our proposed method achieved 99% classification accuracy and outperforms CNN models. © 2021 - IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Human biometric identification based on the ElectroCardioGram (ECG) is relatively new. This domain is intended to recognize individuals since the ECG has unique characteristics for each individual. These features are robust against forgery. In this study, feature extraction from ECG signals was performed using a combination of three new types of characteristics: MFCC, ZCR, and entropy. We proposed to apply classification methods: K Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and support vector machines (SVM) for human biometric identification. For evaluation we used two bases, namely MIT-BIH arrhythmia and normal sinus rhythm obtained from the Physionet database. For the MIT-BIH database, we used 47 individuals, each recording contains ECG data recorded for 15 s and in the SNR database, we used 18 individuals, the duration of each recording is 10 s. The analysis of the results obtained shows that the combination of all the features proposed makes it possible to improve the efficiency of our identification system to reach a performance rate equal to 100% for the two bases. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.

This paper proposes an emotion recognition system based on speech signals in two-stage approach, namely feature extraction and classification engine. Firstly, two sets of feature are investigated which are: the first one, we extract an 42-dimensional vector of audio features including 39 coefficients of Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC), Zero Crossing Rate(ZCR), Harmonic to Noise Rate (HNR) and Teager Energy Operator (TEO). And the second one, we propose the use of the method Auto-Encoder for the selection of pertinent parameters from the parameters previously extracted. Secondly, we use the Support Vector Machines (SVM) as a classifier method. Experiments are conducted on the Ryerson Multimedia laboratory (RML). © 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
