Owing to their lightweight and high specific strength, carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRTPs) are now receiving widespread applications in the transportation and energy industries. In this regard, developing technology for separating and extracting CFRTP from dissimilar material bonding products of metal and CFRTP has become a research hotspot. Therefore, in this study, we developed a separation technology for dissimilar material bonding products of steel sheet and CFRTP using the eddy current method. As a result, we succeeded in separating dissimilar materials using a fabricated induction heating system. In addition, atomic force microscope (AFM) analysis of CFRTP was conducted to confirm the change in physical properties before and after heating. © 2022 IEEE.

Inverted perovskite solar cells based on weakly polarized hole-transporting layers suffer from the problem of polarity mismatch with the perovskite precursor solution,resulting in a nonideal wetting *** addition to the bottom-up growth of the polycrystalline halide perovskite,this will inevitably worse the effects of residual strain and heterogeneity at the buried interface on the interfacial carrier transport and localized compositional ***,we propose a multifunctional hybrid pre-embedding strategy to improve substrate wettability and address unfavorable strain and *** exposing the buried interface,it was found that the residual strain of the perovskite films was markedly reduced because of the presence of organic polyelectrolyte and imidazolium salt,which not only realized the halogen compensation and the coordination of Pb2+but also the buried interface morphology and defect recombination that were well *** from the above advantages,the power conversion efficiency of the targeted inverted devices with a bandgap of 1.62 eV was 21.93%and outstanding intrinsic *** addition,this coembedding strategy can be extended to devices with a bandgap of 1.55 eV,and the champion device achieved a power conversion efficiency of 23.74%.In addition,the optimized perovskite solar cells retained 91%of their initial efficiency(960 h)when exposed to an ambient relative humidity of 20%,with a T80 of 680 h under heating aging at 65℃,exhibiting elevated durability.

In general, people with severe physical challenges have difficulty getting into an electric wheelchair. Therefore, an "alter ego robot" is proposed in order to realize telepresence of the challenged person. In this research, a system that uses an electric wheelchair as basic research for the cart platform of the alter ego robot is developed and enables an operator to teleoperate the robot by using gaze input even when the operator is in a supine position. In the proposed system, there are extended display and an eye tracker in the operator side. Accordingly, a new interface is devised so that the operator can use the system naturally with gaze input. This system aims to improve the quality of life of physically challenged persons.

Buried interfacial voids have always been a notorious phenomenon observed in the fabrication of lead perovskite films. The existence of interfacial voids at the buried interface will capture the carrier, suppress carrier transport efficiencies, and affect the stability of photovoltaic devices. However, the impact of these buried interfacial voids on tin perovskites, a promising avenue for advancing lead-free photovoltaics, has been largely overlooked. Here, we utilize an innovative weakly polar solvent pretreatment strategy(WPSPS) to mitigate buried interfacial voids of tin perovskites. Our investigation reveals the presence of numerous voids in tin perovskites during annealing, attributed to trapped dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO) used in film formation. The WPSPS method facilitates accelerated DMSO evaporation, effectively reducing residual DMSO. Interestingly, the WPSPS shifts the energy level of PEDOT:PSS downward, making it more aligned with the perovskite. This alignment enhances the efficiency of charge carrier transport. As the result, tin perovskite film quality is significantly improved,achieving a maximum power conversion efficiency approaching 12% with only an 8.3% efficiency loss after 1700 h of stability tests, which compares well with the state-of-the-art stability of tin-based perovskite solar cells.

To address the classification of 'Low, Small, Slow' targets such as birds and drones, this paper proposes a classification algorithm based on target time-frequency spectrogram analysis. Firstly, radar-collected data is subjected to Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) to obtain target time-frequency spectrograms, followed by data preprocessing. Subsequently, these time-frequency spectrograms are fed into the designed neural network Residual Pyramid pooling Net (RPNet) for the classification of the two target classes. Validation results based on radar experimental data demonstrate that this algorithm can effectively classify birds and drones, thereby improving the classification performance of small targets. © The Institution of engineering & technology 2023.

In recent decades, digital signages have been widely used. Specifically, digital signages that have a purpose of either providing information or advertising, it is important to direct people’s attention toward that information. Conventionally, some approaches to attract viewer’s attention include using animation and audible information such as playing background music or a flashing a catchphrase. However, language information has not been implemented in these approaches. In this study, we propose a method to call out a specific person to the front of a digital signage by using color images and depth information. By calling out a specific person by using this method, it is expected for this person to have an awareness that they are a target intended by a digital signage. In this study, we conducted experiments that use utterances based on a person’s position, distance from a digital signage, clothing colors, or a pair of two features. Based on the study results, we confirm that a pair of features, that is, clothing color and depth, is the most effective to call out a specific person to the front of a digital signage

Reducing kinetic energy barriers and developing accessible active sites are critical to deliver high hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)*** this paper,we synthesized defect-modulated and heteroatom(boron)-functionalized three-dimensional(3D)bowl-shaped Ti_(3−x)C_(2)T_(y)MXene(B-TCT)nanocavities coupled with the vertical growth of MoSe_(2)*** B-TCT@MoSe_(2)nanohybrids catalyst delivers the overpotentials of 49.9,52.7,and 67.8 mV to reach a HER current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)under acidic,alkaline,and neutral conditions,*** outstanding HER activity is predominantly attributed to the heteroatom functionalization,self-adapting Ti vacancy(VTi)defect modulation,and spatial configuration design in the 3D B-TCT nanocavity,which synergistically regulate the electronic structure,activate the basal plane/edge unsaturated sites,and reduce the reaction energy *** and theoretical calculations demonstrate that strong heterogeneous interfacial bonding interactions between B-TCT and MoSe_(2)can dramatically reduce the free energy of hydrogen adsorption and facilitate efficient interfacial charge migration,thus essentially improving the HER *** used this 3D porous nanohybrid system assembled by defectrich lamellar structures to elucidate the advantageous synergistic effects of multiple mechanisms among defect structure,heteroatom functionalization,and interfacial coupling,which provided important insights for the development of efficient hybridtype catalysts.
