This paper presents a new type of multifunctional bioreactor, which is to provide cell tissue a mechanical environment which is close to the real situation. This bioreactor is based on the concept of fatigue machine, add torsion module to compress and tension module, with new design of both loading device and culturing device by modern CAD technology. Driven by voice coil motor, step motor and a well designed mechanical structure, this machine has excellent controlling performance and no accumulated error, easy to adjust operating height, loading frequency, compressing stroke and torsioning angle. It has different loading modes, with compression or torsion separately, or providing compound load with both torsion and compression. With a delicate culturing device, the height and the limit of loading head is easy to adjust accordingly, it can also provide liquid environment during the loading process, which is closer to biological characteristics and physiological environment. After simple refit, it's also able to be used as a tension machine. This machine supplies different mechanical environment for biomechanics research to make related experiments more effective and accurate.

In the field of railway transportation, with the continuous improvement of train running speed and the continuous increase of operating mileage, it becomes particularly important to ensure the safety and integrity of small-Target infrastructure along the railway train. Although many small-Target detection methods have been proposed, the research on small-Target infrastructure detection along rail trains is very rare. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a small-Target infrastructure detection network with spatial tracking and multi-level feature extraction based on Yolov8n. The experimental results show that ST-YOLO has a 3.6% mAP improvement on the OSDaR23 dataset compared to the baseline Yolov8n, and shows significant advantages over other state-of-The-Art methods. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid advancement of technology, the reliability and efficiency of power systems have become increasingly critical. In power systems, pole-mounted circuit breakers play a vital role. This paper presents a design scheme for an actuation mechanism of a pole-mounted circuit breaker based on new magnetic control materials. By analyzing the working principle of this actuation mechanism, a mathematical model was constructed, and a corresponding virtual prototype model was established using multi-body dynamics simulation software ADAMS and the dynamics mathematical model of this type of actuation mechanism. Key performance parameters of the circuit breaker were optimized using a quantum genetic algorithm. Simulation experiments verified that the proposed parameter settings achieved a closing time of 7.6 ms, demonstrating significant improvements in circuit breaker performance. The results of this study are of great importance for the optimization design and performance enhancement of circuit breakers in power systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The high-speed rolling machine is a key equipment in the automatic production line of automobile body-in-white welding. This article focuses on analyzing a method for accurately stopping the high-speed rolling machine using laser distance measurement. Firstly, through the analysis of the movement process, the calculation method of the length of each period in the 7-stage S-type acceleration and deceleration in the movement of the high-speed rolling machine is given;secondly, the system control theory model of the measurement and control system is established to analyze the dual-position closed-loop strategy The method of realizing the accurate stopping of the high-speed rolling machine;finally, the accurate stopping control method of the high-speed rolling machine proposed in this paper was verified by building an experimental system and developing the corresponding control program. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. A Facile Surface Passivation of Hematite Photoanodes with Molybdate Overlayers for Efficient PEC Water Oxidation

α-Fe2O3 thin films have been synthesized and used as photoanodes for photo-electrochemical (PEC) water oxidation. Molybdate was introduced to mediate hematite thin films via two synthesis routes (namely in situin situ mediation and ex situ modification). Through the in situ mediation process, the morphology and film thickness could be changed significantly due to the addition of MoO42-, while for the ex situ modification, the PEC performance of the hematite has been greatly improved without changing the nanorod morphology. Various characterizations such as UV-Vis absorption, transmission electronic microscopy, scanning electronic microscopy, Mott-Schottky, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were conducted and the PEC performances were investigated.

The Validity Analysis of Regression: Combining Uniform Experiment Design with Nonlinear Regression

The data topology structure of uniform experiment design (UD) is too complex to be reasonable regressed. In this paper, the principle and method of distinguish the training data and testing data were described to make a reasonable regression when uniform experiment design combined with support vector regression (SVR). Two equivalent ways which were the smallest enclosing hypersphere perceptron (SEH) and the enclosing simplex perceptron (ES) were provided to discover the topology relationship of the process parameter datum. To give an application, a series of experiments about laser cladding layer quality were conducted by UD to get the relationship of load, velocity and wearing capacity. Results showed that only the testing datum recommended by the two perceptrons got a good forecasting by SVR. Therefore, the two perceptrons could guide experiments with process parameter data of complex topology structure. Further, the application could be extended over a much wider field of experiments.

Tooth Surface Design for Variable Transmission Ratio Bevel Gearing

A novel CAD method for tooth profile based on the gearing feature has been proposed in this paper, and this method could be applied to the variable transmission ratio and three-dimension situation. The two pitch curves of the two gears can be generated due to the given transmission ratio. The tooth profile curves are formed in each coordinate system of its pitch curve by the gearing process. Finally, the tooth profile could be extracted and translated into a real dimension by CAD method. It is provided a simply thought for tooth profile design to avoid so much complicated mathematical reasoning.

Remote online experimental system is the inevitable trend of experimental teaching in the future. Compared with the traditional offline experimental mode, the online experimental system has better operability and more intuitive teaching significance. It can carry out experiments anytime and anywhere without many actual environmental restrictions, saving the time of teachers and students. The number of students in an online class is far more than the number of offline experiments, which can improve teachers' teaching efficiency and teaching quality. This paper will start from an experimental example, design the simulation system based on Automation Studio (AS) and build the actual system based on WS290 hydraulic experimental rig, and then design the image recognition remote control program, and let users achieve the purpose of experimental teaching and control through the program. © 2023 ACM.

P91 heat-resistant steel is widely used in the high temperature of piping components of thermal power plants and nuclear power plants. In these conditions, the typical failure of P91 is mainly caused by creep at low stress. In this investigation the short-term creep behavior in P91 at low stress was investigated by helicoid spring creep test due to its high strain-sensitivity. The helicoid spring creep was based on the assumption of pure torsion. The mechanics field was firstly studied by ANSYS finite-element simulation to find the establishing conditions of pure torsion. Secondly, the creep properties of P91 were studied under the conditions of the temperatures of 0.38Tmm and the stresses of 14.6 MPa, 25 MPa, 34 MPa, respectively. The ANSYS finite-element simulation shows that the creep deformation is considered to be pure torsion when the pitch spacing of coil is between 2mm to 4mm. The creep curves show "Normal type ", and "the stress exponent" is n=0.9. © 2016 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

We have investigated the nanopatterning of chemical vapor deposited (CVD) diamond films in room-temperature nanoimprint lithography (RT-NIL), using a diamond nanodot mold. We have proposed the use of polysiloxane as an electron beam (EB) mask and RT-imprint resist materials. The diamond molds of cylinder dot using the RT-NIL process were fabricated with polysiloxane oxide mask in EB lithography technology. The dot in minimum diameter is 500 nm. The pitch between the dots is 2 μm, and dot has a height of about 600 nm. It was found that the optimum imprinting conditions for the RT-NIL : time from spin-coating to imprinting t1 of 1 min , pressure time t2 of 5 min, imprinting pressure P of 0.5 MPa. The imprint depth obtained after the press under their conditions was 500 nm. We carried out the RT-NIL process for the fabrication of diamond nanopit arrays, using the diamond nanodot molds that we developed. The resulting diamond nanopit arrays with 500 nm-diameter and 200 nm-depth after the electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) oxygen ion beam etching were fabricated. The diameter of diamond nanopit arrays was in good agreement with that of the diamond nanodot mold. © 2011 Materials Research Society.
