While Spatio-Temporal Graph Convolutional Networks (STGCNs) are an effective method for traffic speed fore-casting, their training and inference tend to be time-consuming. In this paper, we aim to refine these networks by strategically reducing their number of nodes, thereby boosting computational efficiency. The nodes in these graphs represent data observed for road segments, and by analyzing the interconnections and layout of the graph, we can identify nodes with minimal contribution to overall performance. Removing these nodes can potentially decrease computation time while maintaining the prediction accuracy. We employ the Biased Random-Key Genetic Algorithm (BRKGA) to identify a good set of nodes for removal, based on a predefined percentage reduction of the original graph size (e.g., retaining 95 % of the original graph). We evaluate different graph size configurations, ranging from 95 % to 70 % node retention, to determine the least impactful node set performance. Our experiments on three real-world datasets reveal that reducing nodes can decrease computation time by up to 29%, and as a byproduct of removing noise, even improve the prediction accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, we aim to reduce the number of nodes from Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), thereby simplifying models and reducing computational costs. GNNs are highly effective for various tasks, such as prediction, classification, and clustering, due to their ability to learn node and edge attributes and relationships, and they have been utilized for intelligent transportation systems recently by converting sensor networks into graph structures. Deep spatio-temporal neural networks, including Spatio-Temporal Graph Convolutional Networks (STGCNs), capture spatial and temporal dependencies, making them suitable for traffic speed forecasting, traffic demand prediction, and travel time estimation. Despite their success, GNNs face challenges in industrial applications due to significant memory usage and time consumption. In this paper, we propose a new approach to node reduction that outperforms existing methods in computational efficiency. Our experiments on two real-world traffic datasets demonstrate that using the heuristic and edge information to reduce nodes can cut computation time of optimization up to 95% and, by eliminating noise, can even enhance prediction accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

Hyperparameter optimization (HPO) is paragon to maximize performance when designing machine learning models. Among different HPO methods, Genetic Algorithm (GA) based optimization is considered effective because it allows a wide and diverse range of solutions to be explored. However, GA's exploratory nature makes this type of algorithm to evaluate many solutions that do not improve the overall performance. This is specially costly when the objective function to be evaluated is time-consuming, like in the HPO field. In this paper, we propose an efficient hybrid algorithm that is able to reduce computational cost by combining deep reinforcement learning with the Biased Random Key Genetic Algorithm (BRKGA), a variant of genetic algorithms. Our reinforcement learning agent has a decision-making role during the population's fitness calculation, in which it filters out chromosomes that would not improve the overall fitness of the population. The agent uses small amounts of pre-trained data to identify trends in potentially good solutions, and carry out its decision process. We conduct experiments on eight different datasets to assess the effectiveness of the proposed method, and the results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce the computation time of hyperparameter search using BRKGA (up to 44% reduction in computational time) without compromising the quality of the solution (no statistically difference in results). © 2024 IEEE.

Indonesia has the largest number of people that are active in social media and Indonesia is a country with the most social media users in the world. Social media in general is used to socialize (relate, both, personally, in groups and so on) between users. The users of social media in Indonesia already has reached 160 million in January 2020. and this number of social media users in Indonesia increased up to 12 million (8.1%) from April 2019 to January 2020. Firstly, social media was used by users to connect with each other through community. However, now social media is not only used as a means of virtual community for interaction but is also used as a channel for doing business. There are still many people who do not realize that social media has the advantage of being a very efficient and effective business, and many company that still confused about to choose which social media platform that suitable with their business promotion. Therefore, we want to show and tell them one of the advantages of social media in the field of promotion. Based on the surveys, there are four most popular social media in Indonesia such as YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. However, there still very few studies can be found to understand that social media is effective or not for business promotion. For this reason, this article will examine the advantages that social media have that can support business promotion. This article will utilize the questioners method to assess the important factors of social media users such as user satisfaction factors in using social media and what social media are often used by user to promote their business. The use of technology nowadays does not feel strange. Everyday people who use technology for their daily needs, starting with each other, seeking knowledge, can even earn income by doing business using technology. Social media is a tool that can be used by people to become with each other by creating, sharing, and exchanging information virtually through a network. However, in the current era, the notion of social media is not only about exchanging information, but also to support business products. The problem is how to compete tightly in this modern era in increasing the selling value of business products. The positive impact of social media for sales in business products are huge such as, increase sales, increase product promotion, greater market distribution. On the other side, the negative impact also takes part such as, the more competitors, the products compete fiercely in the market. This research aims to identify more the impact of social media on sales of business products that focused on business, benefit, and factor. The research method that we used is quantitative which focuses on the number of samples of respondents to support the research results and the results are in the form of a graphic that shows the answers of the respondents to the questionnaire. © 2023 IEEE.

Courier services are a means of transport that can be used to deliver orders to customers or claim orders from them, and customers can use technology from the courier service like track order to track their order. The use of courier service nowadays is common that every day, people use courier service as their daily means of transport for delivering goods. However, in situations like pandemic, the courier services need to put more effort into their services, so that customers can use courier services with trust. The courier service must be more careful to deliver customer orders or send orders to customers. For this research methodology, the data collection technique using Google Forms and collecting data directly from people about their opinion toward the research have been employed. The result of the data collecting technique is depicted as the usage of the courier service during COVID-19 pandemic starting from March 2020. The results vary every month because not everyone uses the courier service every day. Moreover, the conclusion on why the months starting from March to June do not show high usage of courier service is that the pandemic has not been that worse than the later months, and so, people were going out to deliver or to do activities like shopping or buying groceries on their own. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to human-like intelligence exhibited by computers, robots, or other machines. In popular use, artificial intelligence refers to the ability of a computer or machine to mimic the ability of the human mind to learn from examples and experiences, recognize objects, understand and respond to language, make decisions, solve problems, and combine these and other abilities to perform functions that humans might perform. Artificial intelligence requires experience and data to smarten up the technology. The most important things in making artificial intelligence are learning, reasoning, and self-correction. At the learning stage, AI gives machines the ability to learn tasks without requiring a defined programming language. Then, the reasoning stage is the stage where the reason AI is applied in a technology. The self-correction stage is the stage where the AI is refining itself from and learning from experience in order to minimize errors or problems that exist. Then, this matter is concerned with the parking lot to be discussed. Parking can be interpreted as public facilities available in agencies or offices that serve to store vehicles. Vehicles entering the parking area become tens or even thousands, because it requires a parking system and management area. Such arrangements are capable of parking procedures and even other support systems such as adequate parking facilities and infrastructure, and another function is to create and develop parking systems in general to provide safety and comfort. The methodology obtained from this problem is checking the research model to check and find out the comparison of vehicle user’s Parking System Security between cars or motorcycles, as well as the usual parking lots visited. In today's environment, financial knowledge is vital and should be possessed by everyone. Numerous people are financially disadvantaged as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This serves as a reminder of the critical nature of financial investment in the future. However, many Indonesians, particularly students, are still unfamiliar with capital market investing. In reality, investing in the stock market can provide a variety of benefits, including financial security, capital appreciation, and passive income. Financial literacy concerns can result in a lack of financial awareness among pupils. Indeed, financial literacy is widely available online and can be accessed at any time and from any location. We employed a quantitative method with a non-experimental research design for this study. A questionnaire survey is used to obtain data. The goal of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between student interest in capital market investment and their digital financial literacy. As a result, extensive action is required to increase student interest in the capital market, which is precisely what this study wants to do. According to our findings, students who have access to digital financial and investment information have increased their financial literacy and developed a greater interest in investing in the capital market. Individuals are also encouraged by social media trends to try their hand at investing in the stock market.
