Configuration Synthesis and Lightweight Networking of Deployable Mechanism Based on a Novel Pyramid Module

Deployable mechanism with preferable deployable performance,strong expansibility,and lightweight has attracted much attention because of their potential in aerospace.A basic deployable pyramid unit with good deployability and expandability is proposed to construct a sizeable deployable ***,the basic unit folding principle and expansion method is *** configuration synthesis method of adding constraint chains of spatial closed-loop mechanism is used to synthesize the basic ***,the degree of freedom of the basic unit is analyzed using the screw theory and the link dismantling ***,the three-dimensional models of the pyramid unit,expansion unit,and array unit are established,and the folding motion simulation analysis is carried *** on the number of components,weight reduction rate,and deployable rate,the performance characteristics of the three types of mechanisms are described in ***,prototypes of the pyramid unit,combination unit,and expansion unit are developed to verify further the correctness of the configuration synthesis based on the *** proposed deployable mechanism provides aference for the design and application of antennas with a large aperture,high deployable rate,and *** has a good application prospect in the aerospace field.

Main Protection Optimization Scheme for Generator Parallel Operation of Rotating Asynchronous Machine in Nuclear Power Plants

The Rotating Asynchronous Machine (RAM) system of a nuclear power plant provides a stable and reliable power supply for the control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) through two parallel generators. At present, the main protection of the generators in the RAM system is only configured with longitudinal differential protection, which cannot reflect the interturn short circuit fault and interbranch short circuit fault of the stator winding. Based on the characteristics of parallel connection of RAM generators in nuclear power plants, this article proposes a dual-generator split phase transverse differential protection and a dual-generator incomplete longitudinal differential protection. Through the internal fault set of the generator and the internal fault potential splitting model of the generator, the quantitative analysis of different main protection configuration schemes is carried out. It is concluded that the existing longitudinal differential protection and the incomplete longitudinal differential protection of two parallel generators can correctly reflect the vast majority of internal short-circuit faults. Finally, the dynamic experiment is carried out to prove the feasibility of the protection method in the actual unit operation. © 1986-2012 IEEE.

Studies to enhance the management of electrical energy have gained considerable momentum in recent years. The question of how much energy will be needed in households is a pressing issue as it allows the management plan of the available resources at the power grids and consumer levels. A non-intrusive inference process can be adopted to predict the amount of energy required by appliances. In this study, an inference process of appliance consumption based on temporal and environmental factors used as a soft sensor is proposed. First, a study of the correlation between the electrical and environmental variables is presented. Then, a resampling process is applied to the initial data set to generate three other subsets of data. All the subsets were evaluated to deduce the adequate granularity for the prediction of the energy demand. Then, a cloud-assisted deep neural network model is designed to forecast short-term energy consumption in a residential area while preserving user privacy. The solution is applied to the consumption data of four appliances elected from a set of real household power data. The experiment results show that the proposed framework is effective for estimating consumption with convincing accuracy.

A new teaching model of teaching-innovation-competition is presented and a wisdom course based on this model is developed for mechatronics engineering majors, mainly to deal with several existing problems such as limited experimentation and lack of innovative inspiration in Chinese universities. This study elaborates the course objectives and structure of curriculum system, including digitalized teaching content, project-driven teaching means, innovation platform, web-based resource support, team competition and diversified evaluation method. Through a teaching case study within mechatronic engineering major, the teaching mechanism and achievements are demonstrated. The study results indicate that the proposed teaching mode based on the virtual teaching and research section, significantly improves students' innovation ability and the teaching effects, compared to traditional teaching methods. In 360° color three-dimensional (3D) holographic display, numerous color computer-generated holograms (CCGH) are required to achieve compact distribution of view window on the viewing circumstance band [1]. However, traditional look-up-table methods cannot meet the needs of massive computing. This paper proposes a convolutional symmetric compressed look-up-table (CSC-LUT) method to accelerate CCGH computation based on the Fresnel diffraction theory and LUT. The proposed method can achieve one-time high-quality fast generation of CCGH by utilizing dynamic convolution operation, which is divided three processes. Firstly, the pre-calculated data of maximum horizontal modulation factor is compressed in 1D array by coordinate symmetry. Then, the test object is resampled to satisfy convolutional translation invariance. Finally, the dynamic convolution operation is used to simplify CCGH computation process rather than the point-by-point computation. Numerical simulation and optical experimental results show that our proposed method can achieve faster computation speed, higher reconstruction quality and wider application compared to conventional SC-LUT method. The further optimization method for parallel acceleration on the GPU framework can achieve real-time (>24fps) color holographic display corresponding to three perspectives of a 3D scene. © 2024 SPIE.

Effect of gap and overlap on mode Ⅱ interlaminar fracture toughness of automated fiber placement prepreg laminates

Automated Fiber Placement(AFP)technology facilitates the manufacturing process of composite structures with complex geometry owing to its high efficiency and *** unavoidable imperfections induced by the automated layup method bring challenges to the stability of the final mechanical properties of *** influence of AFP-induced gaps and overlaps on the modeⅡinterlaminar fracture process of oven-cured laminates is experimentally investigated and explicitly ***-Notched Flexure(ENF)tests were performed to measure the interlaminar fracture toughness of unidirectional laminates under three different defect configurations,namely"Gap""Overlap"and"Gap&Overlap".A marginal decline(about-1.2%in non-precracked tests,-5.1%in precracked tests)and an obvious increase(about 15.2%in nonprecracked tests,5.2%in precracked tests)in fracture toughness were observed for the"Gap"group and the"Overlap"group,*** studies which involve the metallographic observation and Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)observation revealed that the increases in fracture area and crack length helped improve the fracture toughness of the Overlap"***,the resin-rich area with high porosity induced by gaps was detrimental to the delamination *** capture the interlaminar stress distribution local to imperfections,a three-dimensional numerical model was *** defects facilitate the local delamination process,and the overlap defect postpones the damage onset and the propagation.
