High-performance chiral all-optical OR logic gate based on topological edge states of valley photonic crystal

For all-optical communication and information processing,it is necessary to develop all-optical logic gates based on photonic structures that can directly perform logic ***-optical logic gates have been demonstrated based on conventional waveguides and interferometry,as well as photonic crystal ***,any defects in those structures will introduce high scattering loss,which compromises the fidelity and contrast ratio of the information *** on the spin-valley locking effect that can achieve defect-immune unidirectional transmission of topological edge states in valley photonic crystals(VPCs),we propose a high-performance all-optical logic OR gate based on a VPC *** tuning the working bandwidth of the two input channels,we prevent interference between the two channels to achieve a stable and high-fidelity *** transmittance of both channels is higher than 0.8,and a high contrast ratio of 28.8 dB is ***,the chirality of the logic gate originated from the spin-valley locking effect allows using different circularly polarized light as inputs,representing“1”or“0”,which is highly desired in quantum *** device’s footprint is 18μm×12μm,allowing high-density on-chip *** addition,this design can be experimentally fabricated using current nanofabrication techniques and will have potential applications in optical communication,information processing,and quantum computing.

Catheters navigating through complex vessels,such as sharp turns or multiple U-turns,remain challenging for vascular ***,we propose a novel multistage vascular embolization strategy for hard-to-reach vessels that releases untethered swimming shape-memory magnetic microrobots(SMMs)from the prior catheter to the vessel ***,made of organo-gel with magnetic particles,ensure biocompatibility,radiopacity,thrombosis,and fast thermal and magnetic *** SMM is initially a linear shape with a 0.5-mm diameter at 20°C inserted in a *** transforms into a predetermined helix within 2 s at 38°C blood temperature after being pushed out of the catheter into the *** enable agile swimming in confined and tortuous vessels and can swim upstream using helical propulsion with rotating magnetic ***,we validated this multistage vascular embolization in living rabbits,completing 100-cm travel and renal artery embolization in 2 *** 4 weeks,the SMMs maintained the embolic position,and the kidney volume decreased by 36%.

Courier services are a means of transport that can be used to deliver orders to customers or claim orders from them, and customers can use technology from the courier service like track order to track their order. The use of courier service nowadays is common that every day, people use courier service as their daily means of transport for delivering goods. However, in situations like pandemic, the courier services need to put more effort into their services, so that customers can use courier services with trust. The courier service must be more careful to deliver customer orders or send orders to customers. For this research methodology, the data collection technique using Google Forms and collecting data directly from people about their opinion toward the research have been employed. The result of the data collecting technique is depicted as the usage of the courier service during COVID-19 pandemic starting from March 2020. The results vary every month because not everyone uses the courier service every day. Moreover, the conclusion on why the months starting from March to June do not show high usage of courier service is that the pandemic has not been that worse than the later months, and so, people were going out to deliver or to do activities like shopping or buying groceries on their own. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Aero-structural design of joined-wing aircraft based on high-fidelity model

Intelligent fault diagnosis in modern mechanical equipment maintenance is increasingly adopting deep learning ***,conventional bearing fault diagnosis models often suffer from low accuracy and unstable performance in noisy environments due to their reliance on a single input ***,this paper proposes a dual-channel convolutional neural network(DDCNN)model that leverages dual data *** DDCNN model introduces two key ***,one of the channels substitutes its convolution with a larger kernel,simplifying the structure while addressing the lack of global information and shallow ***,the feature layer combines data from different sensors based on their primary and secondary importance,extracting details through small kernel convolution for primary data and obtaining global information through large kernel convolution for secondary *** experiments conducted on two-bearing fault datasets demonstrate the superiority of the two-channel convolution model,exhibiting high accuracy and robustness even in strong noise ***,it achieved an impressive 98.84%accuracy at a Signal to Noise Ratio(SNR)of−4 dB,outperforming other advanced convolutional models.

In order to better analyze the characteristics of particle distribution and its influencing factors in the ionized space during the process of coaxial dielectric barrier discharge,a self-designed two-dimensional axisymmetric structure exciter was used to carry out optical diagnosis,with the electron temperature calculated through Gaussian fitting.A plasma model was applied to conduct research on the discharge process through numerical simulation,with the changes in electron density and electron temperature were analyzed by using different discharge *** research results show that with an increase in discharge voltage,pressure inside the reactor and relative permittivity,the discharge process is *** addition,a rise in current density leads to an increase in the number of charged particles on the surface of the medium during the discharge process,while a rise in discharge intensity causes an increase in the electron *** temperature decreases due to the increased loss of collision energy between *** results were confirmed by comparing experimental data with simulation results.

Currently, big data often encounters "curse of dimensionality"problems. Using classic nonlinear dimensionality reduction algorithm, the complexity increases sharply with the increase of data dimension and quantity. While, quantum dimensionality reduction algorithm can achieve exponential acceleration for large-scale data processing, it requires a large number of n -qubit operations. To solve the problems above, this paper proposed a variational quantum isometric feature mapping algorithm based on classical nonlinear dimensionality reduction algorithm, quantum machine learning algorithm and variational quantum algorithm. In the data processing stage, the quantum k-nearest neighbor algorithm is used to obtain the K nearest neighbors of the original data, construct the adjacency graph, and calculate the geodesic distance between each point to get the distance matrix. The inner product matrix is obtained by redesigning the quantum circuit. Then the characteristic problem of the inner product matrix is solved by using the variational quantum eigensolver. Finally, the representation of low-dimensional data after dimensionality reduction is obtained, and the nonlinear dimensionality reduction of large-scale high-dimensional data is realized. © 2024 IEEE.
