The development of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) swarm technology has opened up new possibilities for various applications, such as search and rescue, precision agriculture, and surveillance. However, the coordination of a large-scale UAV swarm is a complex task that requires intelligent, efficient, and scalable techniques. In recent years, the emergence of microservice architecture has provided a promising approach to addressing the challenges of UAV swarm coordination with intelligent techniques. In this paper, we first provide scenario analyses to demonstrate how intelligent microservices allow UAV swarm coordination more effective and efficient. Then, we present key technologies for UAV swarm coordination based on intelligent microservices. Specifically, we introduce our solutions to address the three main challenges, i.e., service split, service registration and discovery, and security and privacy in implementing the intelligent microservice-based UAV swarm coordination system. Finally, we present the possible future directions of this research area, i.e., optimization of computing resource allocation, integration of advanced AI algorithm, and human-UAV interaction. © 2024, Chinese Society of aeronautics and Astronautics.

In order to solve the problem of low reliability of airborne bus communication platforms under limited volume, weight, power consumption, and computing power in airborne environments, the design scheme of the airborne bus communication platform was completed by demonstrating the software and hardware architecture of isomorphic dual redundancy channels. This design scheme first analyzes the usage scenarios and requirements indicators of the airborne bus communication platform, standardizes the design process based on the analysis indicators, and then designs a hardware architecture based on isomorphic dual redundancy channels according to the requirements and application environment of the design scheme. Finally, it focuses on the data interaction characteristics between the airborne product and the upper computer, Complete the design of dual redundancy data intelligent control software from the perspective of dual channel data flow and channel fault switching. Simulation examples show that this solution effectively solves the problems of high fault reporting rate and excessive resource redundancy in traditional equipment, and significantly improves the reliability of massive data transmission and reception in airborne environments. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes a new ISAR algorithm for obtaining well-focused images of targets with complex motions in low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) environments. The algorithm models the echo signals of targets with complex motions as cubic phase signals (CPS) after motion compensations and uses the Non-uniformed Sampled Integrated Modified Chirp Rate-Quadratic Chirp Rate Distribution (NIM-CRQCRD) to estimate CPS parameters. The proposed algorithm compensates the echo signals using the parameter estimates and generates ISAR images of targets with complex motions. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has superior anti-noise performance. © 2023 IEEE.

In evolutionary robotics (ER), the evolution of a robot's morphology (i.e., physical structure) or controller (i.e., control algorithm or instruction sequence) often entails tackling an extensive number of tasks. The use of evolutionary multitasking (EMT) in ER, which optimizes multiple tasks simultaneously by reusing potentially useful knowledge across diverse tasks, could improve the performance of problem-solving to each task. However, existing EMT methods do not fully use intertask correlations, limiting knowledge sharing. In view of this, this study introduces a novel framework, termed adaptive group-based collaborative optimization, tailored for handling optimization problems involving a large number of tasks within the ER domain simultaneously. The proposed framework divides tasks into groups according to their similarity and then proceeds through two principal stages, namely, intergroup knowledge separation and intragroup knowledge reunion. During intergroup knowledge separation stage, an adaptive method for selecting crossover operators enables source tasks to share useful knowledge to the target task across groups. During intragroup knowledge reunion stage, an adaptive knowledge combination strategy facilitates the target task in assimilating knowledge from multiple sources intragroup. We validated the efficacy of the proposed framework in both planar manipulators and hexapod robot experiments. The results indicate that our method outperforms existing state-of-the-art algorithms (i.e., MME, MMKT) on several metrics (e.g., mean fitness and quality diversity metrics). The proposed method can effectively improve the effectiveness and diversity of solutions in solving ER problems with a large number of tasks (e.g., 5 000 or 10 000), and has broad potential in practical ER applications. © 2025 IEEE.

Graphical User Interface (GUI) testing is one of the primary approaches for testing mobile apps. Test scripts serve as the main carrier of GUI testing, yet they are prone to obsolescence when the GUIs change with the apps' evolution. Existing repair approaches based on GUI layouts or images prove effective when the GUI changes between the base and updated versions are minor, however, they may struggle with substantial changes. In this paper, a novel approach named COSER is introduced as a solution to re-pairing broken scripts, which is capable of addressing larger GUI changes compared to existing methods. COSER incorporates both external semantic information from the GUI elements and internal semantic information from the source code to provide a unique and comprehensive solution. The efficacy of COSER was demonstrated through experiments conducted on 20 Android apps, resulting in superior performance when compared to the state-of-the-art tools METER and GUIDER. In addition, a tool that implements the COSER approach is available for practical use and future research. © 2024 ACM.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology promotes the gradual evolution of the “three integration” of mechanization, informatization and intelligence. The mass data characteristics of airborne mission informatization put forward higher demands on the storage, transmission and management capabilities of airborne data. The characteristics of high complexity, strong confrontation, strong real-time, and uncertainty of airborne intelligent tasks pose more challenges to the intelligent processing of airborne data. This paper analyzes the data characteristics and mission characteristics in the process of airborne intelligence missions, and proposes an airborne intelligent computing architecture for airborne data processing of intelligent missions. The composition and function of each technical layer are expounded, and several problems of airborne intelligent computing technology are analyzed. Finally, the development trend of airborne intelligent technology development is prospected.

Worker recruitment for area coverage maximization, typically requires participants to upload location information, which can deter potential participation without proper protection. While existing studies resort to geo-indistinguishability to address this concern, they primarily focus on either specific task locations (Target Coverage) or operate under pre-defined recruitment quotas for an interested region (Area Coverage). These focuses not only yield suboptimal area coverage when scaled but also fail to leverage valuable prior knowledge in the form of participants' noisy historical registered locations, to enhance both location obfuscation and worker identification processes. To address these limitations, we present WILTON, which optimizes area coverage under geo-indistinguishability by recruiting the minimum number of participants through the strategic utilization of noisy prior knowledge. In WILTON, to generate obfuscated locations, we propose a probabilistic and weight-aware input perturbation mechanism, which groups and weights prior locations rather than using only personal prior locations. To privately identify the recruited workers, we design a grid-based worker identification method, which provides a worst-case performance guarantee of ratio 1 -1/e to the optimum. We provide a theoretical analysis of the privacy, utility, and complexity guarantees of WILTON. Experimental results over two real-world datasets and one synthetic dataset show that WILTON surpasses the state-of-the-arts by at least 8% in area coverage improvement. © 2005-2012 IEEE.

Considering that the inevitable disturbances and coupled constraints pose an ongoing challenge to distributed control algorithms,this paper proposes a distributed robust model predictive control(MPC)algorithm for a multi-agent system with additive external disturbances and obstacle and collision avoidance *** particular,all the agents are allowed to solve optimization problems simultaneously at each time step to obtain their control inputs,and the obstacle and collision avoidance are accomplished in the context of full-dimensional controlled objects and *** achieve the collision avoidance between agents in the distributed framework,an assumed state trajectory is introduced for each agent which is transmitted to its neighbors to construct the polyhedral over-approximations of *** the polyhedral over-approximations of the agent and the obstacles are used to smoothly reformulate the original nonconvex obstacle and collision avoidance *** a compatibility constraint is designed to restrict the deviation between the predicted and assumed ***,recursive feasibility of each local MPC optimization problem with all these constraints derived and input-to-state stability of the closed-loop system can be ensured through a sufficient condition on controller ***,simulations with four agents and two obstacles demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

This paper introduces a game-theoretic framework aimed at enhancing offloading decisions within a network of multiple tethered aerial vehicles (TAVs) employed as communication base stations and relay platforms. Given their advantageous low deployment costs and extensive coverage areas, TAVs represent an innovative solution for dynamic air-ground communication networks. We address the inherent challenges associated with the mobility of ground users and consider across multiple temporal intervals. We initially segment offloading decisions into discrete time slots and model them within a strategic game principle. Subsequently, we prove that this game constitutes an exact potential game and introduce a distributed algorithm based on best response iteration. This algorithm is designed for decentralized deployment across individual tethered aerial vehicles. Through simulation studies, we demonstrate that our proposed methodology enhances network throughput relative to conventional random offloading strategies. It advances the theoretical understanding of offloading in dynamic network environments and offers practical algorithms for real-world applications. © 2024 IEEE.

This study addresses limitations in industrial defect detection by enhancing YOLOv8 with EfficientNet-B0. Using MBConv, multiscale pathways, and C2f modules, the model improved precision from 0.935 to 0.983, the recall from 0.917 to 0.981, mAP@0.5 from 0.964 to 0.993, and mAP@0.5:0.95 from 0.787 to 0.9 on the NEU-DET dataset, enabling efficient, real-time defect detection for industrial applications. © 2024 IEEE.
