The calculation of interaction integrals is a bottleneck for the treatment of many-body quantum systems due to its high numerical cost. We conduct configuration interaction calculations of the few-electron states confined in III-V semiconductor two-dimensional structures using a shallow neural network to calculate the two-electron integrals, which can be used for general isotropic interaction potentials. We study the motion of a pair of electrons along two separate parallel chains of quantum dots. The electrons that are released from the central dot of each chain tend to accompany and not avoid each other. The correlated electron motion involves entanglement of the wave functions which is generated in time upon release of the initial confinement. Observation of the simultaneous presence of electrons at the same side of the chain can provide a fingerprint of the paired electron motion.

Entanglement distribution via photons over long distances enables many applications, including quantum key distribution, which provides unprecedented privacy. The inevitable degradation of entanglement through noise accumulated over long distances remains one of the key challenges in this area. Exploiting the potential of higher-dimensional entangled photons promises to address this challenge, but poses extreme demands on the experimental implementation. Here, we present a long-range free-space quantum link, distributing entanglement over 10.2 km with flexible dimensionality of encoding by deploying a phase-stable nonlocal Franson interferometer. With this distribution of multidimensional energy-time entangled photons, we analyze the achievable key rate in a dimensionally adaptive quantum key distribution protocol that can be optimized with respect to any environmental noise conditions. Our approach enables and emphasizes the power of high-dimensional entanglement for quantum communication, yielding a positive asymptotic key rate well into the dawn of the day.

This paper presents a design and implementation of the multiphase digital oscillator, which can determine the initial phase of multi-output signals to desired initial phases. The proposed system consists of biquad digital oscillator to oscillate the reference signal, and the new phase shifters which are first order IIR filters that can shift the phase of signals at a specified frequency to give them the desired phases. Design example and simulation results will be shown. Moreover, real-time hardware implementation on STM32 digital signal processor can be demonstrated to confirm the proposed design can work with hardware experimental results.
