In this paper, we will present a new method of partial reconstruction of the 3D image. The latter is based on the following two concepts: one is the stable discrete orthogonal Hahn polynomials (DOHPs), which significantly reduces numerical defects. The other is the 3D image cuboid representation (ICR) to accelerate the computation time of discrete orthogonal Hahn moments (DOHMs) and improve the quality of 3D image reconstruction. The results of the simulation confirm the ability of the 3D image reconstruction using the proposed process. © 2022, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

XAI refers to the techniques and methods for building AI applications which assist end users to interpret output and predictions of AI models. Black box AI applications in high-stakes decision-making situations, such as medical domain have increased the demand for transparency and explainability since wrong predictions may have severe consequences. Model explainability and interpretability are vital successful deployment of AI models in healthcare practices. AI applications' underlying reasoning needs to be transparent to clinicians in order to gain their trust. This paper presents a systematic review of XAI aspects and challenges in the healthcare domain. The primary goals of this study are to review various XAI methods, their challenges, and related machine learning models in healthcare. The methods are discussed under six categories: Features-oriented methods, global methods, concept models, surrogate models, local pixel-based methods, and human-centric methods. Most importantly, the paper explores XAI role in healthcare problems to clarify its necessity in safety-critical applications. The paper intends to establish a comprehensive understanding of XAI-related applications in the healthcare field by reviewing the related experimental results. To facilitate future research for filling research gaps, the importance of XAI models from different viewpoints and their limitations are investigated. © 2023, CC BY-NC-ND.

Fighting against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its consequence COVID-19 was the main task for scientists in the years 2020-2021. The authors of this article present innovative solutions which recently were undertaken by electrical and computer engineers to participate in the struggle with the pandemic of COVID-19 in the world. The number of the attempts presented is limited as well as a pretty big number of them are still in progress. The paper shows the representative solutions which can be used in the pandemic of COVID-19 or in any other pandemic in the future as the temperature monitoring, ansomia and cough analysis, vaccines using the electroporation phenomena. © 2021 IEEE.

We present new parton distribution functions (PDFs) at next-to-leading order (NLO) and next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) in perturbative QCD, derived from a comprehensive global QCD analysis of high-precision data sets from combined HERA deep-inelastic scattering (DIS), the Tevatron, and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). To improve constraints on quark flavor separation, we incorporate Drell-Yan pair production data, which provides critical sensitivity to the quark distributions. In addition, we include the latest W and Z boson production data from the CDF, D0, ATLAS, and CMS collaborations, further refining both quark and gluon distributions. Our nominal global QCD fit integrates these datasets and examines the resulting impact on the PDFs and their associated uncertainties. Uncertainties in the PDFs are quantified using the Hessian method, ensuring robust error estimates. Furthermore, we explore the sensitivity of the strong coupling constant, αs(MZ2 ), and proton PDFs in light of the projected measurements from the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC), where improvements in precision are expected. The analysis also investigates the effects of inclusive jet and dijet production data, which provide enhanced constraints on the gluon PDF and αs(MZ2 ). © 2024, CC BY.

Non-relativistic Strings: Classical solutions and exactly solvable models

We discuss classical closed string solutions in non-relativistic two-sphere target spaces. These classes of solutions closely relate to the GKP-type, spinning and pulsating strings for the relativistic case. We derive the string dynamics in each case and construct relevant dispersion relations, both from the string Newton-Cartan intrinsic sigma model and using a large speed of light expansion of relativistic Polyakov action. We further discuss construction and characteristics of exactly solvable Neumann-Rosochatius-like dynamical systems corresponding to strings in leading and subleading orders of the expanded Polyakov theory. Numerous complex situations arising from science and engineering are modeled by integral-differential equations (IDEs). Examples of these situations include mathematical modeling of infectious diseases, epidemics, circuit analysis, voltage drop equations, computational neuroscience, intergalactic modeling, and many more. To explain the mathematical structure and the behavior of various phenomena in nature, two equations with simple mathematical structure namely: the (1 + 1)-dimensional integro-differential Ito equation (IDIE) and the (2 + 1)-dimensional integro-differential Sawada-Kotera equation (IDSKE) are considered. In this analytical investigation, we have conducted an in-depth enquiry to trace the distinctive closed form progressive wave solutions of these proposed models using the ([Formula presented])-expansion method. The graphical forms of the acquired solutions have been displayed in the bell-shaped soliton, singular periodic, and anti-kink shape soliton solutions after the values for the free parameters were specified. The two non-algebraic solutions, named, exponential and trigonometric function solutions, have emerged by applying our proposed method. Based on the general findings of our investigation for different parametric values, the attained wave solutions revealed can keep a vital role for natural balances and can be engaged in modern physical applications. The parameters have a visible effect on the wave amplitude and the swiftness of the traveling wave. The executed outcomes are innovative and have monumental applications in the present research, especially in the fields of theoretical physics, astrophysics, plasma physics, particle physics, theory of relativity, advance quantum mechanics, string theory, and geotechnical engineering. © 2023 The Author(s)

During the magnetization process, the increase in magnetization is blocked by the increase in the magnetic field strength. The reason for these magnetic delays may be the magnetic anisotropy of the tested material. In crystalline materials, this phenomenon is quite well described and is related to the parameters of the crystal lattice. For amorphous alloys, which do not have long-range atomic order, this phenomenon has been much less studied. The paper presents the results of studies on the primary magnetization curves for two different alloys showing soft magnetic properties measured in three different directions: parallel to the casting direction, perpendicular to this direction, and perpendicular to the alloy surface. As indicated by the research, in amorphous materials, one can distinguish the direction of diffIcult magnetization and two easier ones, which means that the phenomenon of magnetic anisotropy occurs in them. © 2025 Polska Akademia Nauk. A Telemedicine network that uses connectivity and information technology to transmit medical signals such as neurological signals Electroencephalography (EEG) has become a reality for medical services of long distances. In the monitoring of mobile healthcare, these signals need to be compressed for the efficient utilization of bandwidth and the confidentiality of these signals, where compression is a critical tool to solve storage and transmission problems and can then retrieve the original signal (OS) from the compressed signal. The objective of this manuscript is to achieve higher compression gains at a low bit rate while maintaining the integrity of clinical details and also encrypting the signal to keep it private, except for specialists. Thresholding techniques are utilized in the compression stage, the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT). Instead, Huffman Encoding (HuFE) is utilized for compression and EEG signal encryption with chaos. This manuscript addresses the encoding of EEG signals with consistency for Telemedicine applications. To test the proposed method, overall compression and reconstruction (ComRec) time (T) was measured, the root mean square (RMSE), and the compression ratio (CR). Findings from the simulation show that the addition of HuFE after the DWT algorithm gives the best CR and complexity efficiency. The findings show that the consistency of the reconstructed signal (Rs) is maintained at a low PRD while yielding better findings in compression. Utilizing the DWT as a loss compression algorithm followed by the HuFE as a lossy compression algorithm, CR = 92.9% at RMS = 0.16 and PRD = 5. 4131%. © 2021, Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.
