Superconducting dome in LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interfaces as a direct consequence of the extended s-wave symmetry of the gap

The two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface exhibits gate-tunable superconductivity with a domelike shape of TC as a function of electron concentration. Here, we propose that the experimentally observed behavior can be explained as a direct effect of the dominant extended s−wave symmetry of the superconducting gap. Our results agree very well with the experimental data. As shown, neither the correlation effects nor the spin-orbit coupling significantly influence the physical picture of the paired state stemming from our analysis.

We study the problem of accessibility in a set of classical and quantum channels admitting a group structure. Group properties of the set of channels, and the structure of the closure of the analyzed group G plays a pivotal role in this regard. The set of all convex combinations of the group elements contains a subset of channels that are accessible by a dynamical semigroup. We demonstrate that accessible channels are determined by probability vectors of weights of a convex combination of the group elements, which depend neither on the dimension of the space on which the channels act, nor on the specific representation of the group. Investigating geometric properties of the set A of accessible maps we show that this set is non-convex, but it enjoys the star-shape property with respect to the uniform mixture of all elements of the group. We demonstrate that the set A covers a positive volume in the polytope of all convex combinations of the elements of the group. © 2022, CC BY.

Since Thailand has now completely stepped into an aged society there are more than 20% of the population aged 60 years and over. There was also an increase in those who had problems with their balance. One of the main difficulties for these people is walking on their own. This paper presents an automatic walking aid for people with balance or walking problems. A specially designed automatic walking aid can be adjusted to six levels of height. It has an anti-collision warning system at a distance of up to 40 centimeters and displays GPS coordinates via SMS when falling. The experimental results of the prototype automatic walking aid showed that the walking aid could work as designed and could help people with balance problems walk more comfortably.

In this study, the optical properties of 60TeO2-10BaF2-10ZnO-10Nb2O5-5Bi2O3-5TiO2 (TBZNBT) tellurite glasses doped with different thulium oxide (Tm2O3) concentrations from 0 to 4×104 ppm were investigated. It was found that the manufactured glass had a specific value of density, molar volume, optical packing density, molar refraction, and molar polarizability. The optical energy gap, third order nonlinear optical susceptibility, and refractive index of the manufactured glass were also evaluated. Herein UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy measured of present glass. The results show that all of the prepared materials have a long radiative lifetime and a high spectroscopic quality factor, Ω4/Ω6. The value of emission cross section of the prepared glasses increased as the concentration of Tm2O3 increased. Furthermore, the prepared glasses offered suitable gain coefficient values for laser applications with a wide wavelength band tunable between 1854 and 1938 nm. These results make the prepared glasses a promising candidate as the active medium for VIS and NIR laser devices where broad tunability around 1.8 µm is desired, namely that ~2 μm wavelength for the next-generation high-capacity optical communication and sensing communication window. © 2023, The Authors. This paper proposes the design of metamaterial surfaces based on interdigital coplanar waveguide (CPW) unit cells. By using this technique, the unit cell can have negative permeability with size reduction to λ/8. The result causes from the slow wave effect on transmission line in the structure, which electrical and physical lengths of transmission line are not equal from that effect. The proposed matamaterial surfaces at some resonant frequencies have been designed and used as reflectors and directors applied for antenna applications. Using the designed reflectors or directors, the antenna performances have been increased. The proposed metamaterial surfaces will be appropriate for modern wireless communication systems.

DNA sequencing allows for the determination of the genetic code of an organism, and therefore is an indispensable tool that has applications in Medicine, Life sciences, Evolutionary Biology, Food sciences and technology, and Agriculture. In this paper, we present several novel methods of performing classical-to-quantum data encoding inspired by various mathematical fields, and we demonstrate these ideas within Bioinformatics. In particular, we introduce algorithms that draw inspiration from diverse fields such as Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Information Theory, Differential Geometry, and Neural Network architectures. We provide a complete overview of the existing data encoding schemes and show how to use them in Genomics. The algorithms provided utilise lossless compression, wavelet-based encoding, and information entropy. Moreover, we propose a contemporary method for testing encoded DNA sequences using Quantum Boltzmann Machines. To evaluate the effectiveness of our algorithms, we discuss a potential dataset that serves as a sandbox environment for testing against real-world scenarios. Our research contributes to developing classical-to-quantum data encoding methods in the science of Bioinformatics by introducing innovative algorithms that utilise diverse fields and advanced techniques. Our findings offer insights into the potential of Quantum Computing in Bioinformatics and have implications for future research in this area. © 2023, CC BY.

Nanocrystalline ferrite samples with the composition CuxNi1-xFe2O4, with 0.0≤х≤1.0, were synthesized using the sol-gel autocombustion method at a neutral pH of the reaction medium. The structure and phase composition of the synthesized samples were analyzed using X-ray diffraction, and the Rietveld method was employed to interpret the results. The analysis confirmed the formation of a spinel structure and provided insights into the distribution of cations within the tetrahedral and octahedral sublattices. The synthesized compounds were found to be mixed spinels, and the degree of inversion was determined for each composition. Magnetic properties were investigated using a vibrating sample magnetometer, and the main magnetic parameters were calculated based on the experimentally obtained hysteresis loops. The maximum saturation magnetization and coercive force were found to be 59.54 emu/g and 327.8 Oe, respectively. Mössbauer spectra of 57Fe were recorded at room temperature (300K) and nitrogen temperature (77K). Changes in line width, isomeric shift, quadrupole splitting, and the magnitude of the magnetic superexchange fields for the tetrahedral and octahedral sublattices, as well as the overall system, were calculated. The cation distribution values obtained from X-ray diffraction, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and magnetic measurements were found to be agreement and consistent. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The persistent attempts are undertaken to show existence and investigate the special pairs of Extensive Air Showers (EAS) that can be suspected in common origin in the near space, i.e. to observe some consequence of existence of Cosmic Ray Ensemble (CRE). The remote cosmic ray stations observing EAS events are useful for this investigation. Such stations are operating within the GELATICA net (GEorgian Large-area Angle and TIme Coincidence Array) and are planed within the CREDO Collaboration (Cosmic Ray Extremely Distributed Observatory) as the CREDO-Maze project.
