In this paper we propose a consensus model using fractional calculus, which is an emerging topic in multi-agent modeling. Fractional models have infinite memory and can be understood as a relatively simple extension of traditional calculus. We propose a model structure motivating it by psychological research. For such model we also provide a stability analysis allowing results on possibilities of consensus arising in the modelled group of agents. To achieve this, we use fractional difference equations, which illustrate our considerations for agent groups of increasing complexity.

In this study, we performed calculations and analyses of the structure functions of polarized nucleons and light nuclei, specifically He3 and H3, using second-order Feynman diagrams. Our investigation focused on two main aspects: First, we examined the symmetry properties of polarized light sea quarks. Second, we conducted a detailed investigation into the impacts of symmetry breaking on the structure functions of both nucleons and nuclei. To achieve this, we utilized the existing polarized parton distribution functions (polarized PDFs) available in the literature. These PDFs were used to calculate and compare the polarized structure functions g1 and g2 of the nuclei. Additionally, we examined and analyzed the Bjorken and Efremov-Leader-Teryaev sum rules by utilizing the moments of the polarized structure functions. The Lorentz color force components, namely FEy,n and FBy,n, were determined using the twist-2, twist-3, and twist-4 matrix elements. When symmetry breaking is applied, it is observed that they have similar magnitudes but opposite signs. Our theoretical predictions for the polarized structure functions of nucleons and light nuclei, taking into account the symmetry breaking of light sea quarks, exhibit better agreement with experimental data.

A detailed study of $$\alpha $$ -clusters decay is exhibited by incorporating crucial microscopic nuclear structure information into the estimations of half-life and preformation factor. For the first time, using the k-cross validation approach, two semi-empirical formulas for (1) $$\alpha $$ -decay half-life and (2) $$\alpha $$ -particle preformation factor, are picked out and subsequently modified by including shell, odd-nucleon blocking, and asymmetry effects along with the usual dependence on $$\alpha $$ -decay energy ( $$Q_{\alpha }$$ ) and angular momentum of $$\alpha $$ -particle. Both the formulas are fitted for the two different regions separated by neutron number N $$=$$ 126, as from the experimental systematics the role of N $$=$$ 126 shell closure is found decisive in determining the trends of $$Q_{\alpha }$$ , $$\alpha $$ -decay half-life, and $$\alpha $$ -particle preformation factor. It is found that the inclusion of the above-mentioned degrees of freedom significantly reduces the errors in the estimations when compared with several other similar modified/refitted semi-empirical relations indicating the robustness of the proposed formulas. The predictions of $$\alpha $$ -decay half-life throughout the periodic chart have been made including the unknown territory, future probable decay chain of self-conjugate nucleus $$^{112}$$ Ba terminated on $$^{100}$$ Sn, decay chain of $$^{208}$$ Pa through new isotope $$^{204}$$ Ac as well as decay chains of awaiting superheavy nuclei $$^{298}$$ Og and $$^{299}$$ 120. This article is expected to provide a systematic approach to selecting the formula by which reliable predictions can be made.
