Dynamic system modeling methods have become a hot topic for stationary and nonstationary signal processing. Nonnegativity is a desired constraint that usually exerts on to be estimated parameters, and its generation usually based on the inherent physical characteristics of unknown system. Moreover, non-Gaussian noise is present in many practical system identification situations. In this paper, an adaptive nonnegative maximum correntropy criterion (NNMCC) algorithm is proposed for system identification under non-negativity constraints. We derive the NNMCC algorithm based on the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions and a fixed-point iteration scheme. The first-order and second-order moments of the NNMCC algorithm adaptive weights are theoretically analyzed. Experimental results validate the theoretical analysis and illustrate the superior performance of NNMCC in non-Gaussian noise environments. © 2022, CC BY.

Improved Uniform Linear Array Fitting Scheme with Increased Lower Bound on Uniform Degrees of Freedom for DOA Estimation

Recently, uniform linear array (ULA) fitting (UF) principle is proposed for sparse array (SA) design using pseudo-polynomial equations. Typically, it is verified that the designed SAs via UF enjoy a lower bound on uniform degrees of freedom (uDOF), which is approximately 0.5N2 with N sensors. Herein, an improved UF (IUF) scheme is proposed to significantly increase the lower bound on uDOF, which is realized by introducing two sub-ULAs, with name of adjoint transfer arrays (ATAs), on both sides of a transfer sub-ULA. The ATAs together with the transfer sub-ULA serve as a new layer to construct an adjoint transfer layer (ATL) that has improved aperture in comparison with traditional transfer layer to improve the lower bound on uDOF, which is derived in detail. Furthermore, two novel SAs are developed based on the ATL to verify the effectiveness of the proposed IUF scheme to increase the uDOF. Transient Convergence Analysis of Least Lncosh Algorithm

Lncosh function has been used for constructing a cost function for devising an adaptive filter algorithm to provide a desired performance under non-Gaussian noise, naming as least Lncosh algorithm (LLA). However, its transient behavior analysis has not been analyzed and investigated. As an important characteristic for the LLA, the transient behavior affects its performance in real-world applications. Herein, we present the theoretical model for evaluating the mean weight behavior and the transient excess mean square error (EMSE) behavior of the LLA. In addition, the proposed models can also be used to predict the transient behavior of the adaptive filtering algorithms with error nonlinearities under non-Gaussian noises. Network short text clustering is a major technology in network content security. Since Chinese network short text is less of keywords and full of anomalous writings, the traditional text clustering method is not directly suitable for network short text clustering. This paper presents an immune network regulation based method to cluster Chinese network short texts. First, Chinese N-gram chunks are extracted and transformed to Chinese pinyin to form the feature representation to each Chinese network short text, so as to relieve these two characteristics' bad influence on the clustering performance. Then, the network short text set is constructed as a dynamic network and an immune network learning mechanism is used to learn the similarity among short texts and therefore to gain a better clustering result. Experiments show our method can get better performance in Chinese network short text clustering, compared with traditional method such as K-means. © 2009 Acta Automatica Sinica. All rights reserved.

Evolutionary programming algorithm is applied to the problem of image clustering. The solution of the problem is encoded by the symbol coding, and swarm intelligent model is used to search the solution of the problem. In evolutionary programming algorithm, the global search ability is effectively improved by mutation operator and selection operator. The excellent diversity of solutions is guaranteed by using Gaussian mutation operator, and the complexity of the evolutionary operation is reduced. The simulation experiments show that the proposed algorithm for image clustering is effective and correct.

We present a no-reference image-quality - assessment algorithm based on active reasoning module. This algorithm has three modules: the feature extraction module, the active reasoning module, and the quality assessment module. The active reasoning module incorporates the generator component of the generative adversarial network and enhances its structure with the Res2Net architecture. By integrating this module into the backbone feature extraction network, we improve the receptive field of each convolutional layer, enabling the network to capture information at different scales of the image. To preserve the texture information of the image, we input the gradient map of the distorted image, the distorted image itself, and the image features generated by the generator into the quality assessment module, which has a multi-feature regression networks. This module establishes a mapping model from image-feature to image-quality scores. We conducted experimental analysis of this algorithm on three widely used public datasets, confirming the excellent performance and superiorities of the presented algorithm. The results validate the effectiveness of the designed algorithm and its ability to assess image quality accurately. © 2023 IEEE.

In peer-to-peer network environment, there is no centralized management authority to be relied on, so the service provider and service requester have to establish some assessment model, and evaluate the dynamic behavior of others, then choose more credible trusted entities to interact. Only in this way can they ensure security, safety and reliable decisions. On the basis of Eigen Trust model, a local trust value computation model considering time effect function is put forward, and it reduces the network overhead, increases the binding force of malicious nodes,and makes the trust value computation model more reliable and accurate. Simulation experiments show that the improved model proposed in this paper greatly reduces the network overhead indeed, and transaction success rate of nodes is higher than Eigen Trust model in the presence of malicious nodes in the P2P system.

The priority queue model divides CR (cognitive radio) system users into primary user and secondary user. The primary user has preemptive priority over secondary user, while the same priority level users are FIFO served. This paper models the CR system based on scheduling technology. The secondary users are further divided into different priority levels. A hybrid priority dynamic policy, which indicates primary user's preemptive priority and secondary user's nonpreemptive priority, is developed to reduce spectrum switch overhead during spectrum leasing process. Theoretical analyzing shows that hybrid priority reduces the spectrum switch overhead and the hybrid priority improvement is a non-negative mono-increasing function of priority level. Based on the proposed policy, CR scheduling model is built and CR scheduling rule is provided and proved. Experimental comparison between CR scheduling and priority queue shows that CR scheduling gets a smaller weighted staying time sum than priority queue and the improvement increases as system becomes more congested.

Valuation of image coding relies on not only the efficiency of the coding, but also the quality of the coded image. We present a new objective quality assessment metric for image coding based on matching pursuit. First of all, we get the characteristics of the most important structure by projecting the reference image onto the base functions from a dictionary using matching pursuit. Secondly, we process the reference image and gain the structure information of the images in the order of importance, projecting the images onto the structural characteristics. Finally the objective quality score is given by comparing the differences of structure information between the reference and coded images. Experimental results show that the proposed approach is well consistent with the subjective quality score.

In order to support computing-intensive and service-sensitive Internet of Vehicles (IoV) applications, Digital Twin and edge computing are attractive solutions. Most of the existing IoV service offloading solutions only consider edge-cloud collaboration, but the cooperation between small cell eNodeB(SCeNB) nodes should not be ignored. Through reasonable cooperative computing between nodes, service delays far lower than offloading tasks to the cloud can be obtained. We generate and maintain the simulation of cooperation between SCeNB nodes by constructing a Digital twin to simulate SCeNB nodes in the small cell manager (SCM), thereby realizing user task offloading positions, sub-channel allocation and computing resource allocation. After that, we proposed an algorithm AUC-AC based on the dominant actor critic network and the auction-mechanism. In the DT of each SCeNB node, the global strategy is learned via deep reinforcement learning model. Numerical results show that our proposed experimental scheme is better than several baseline algorithms in terms of service delay. © 2021 IEEE.
