Intermittently Connected Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (ICMANs) are mobile networks in which complete source-to-destination paths do not exist most of the time. This paper proposed a Predictable Adaptive Seed Spray routing (PASS) for intermittently connected mobile Ad Hoc networks. PASS is a cost-efficient delay-bounded routing protocol without network parameters and provides acceptable and resilient service in the face of challenged environments. Simulations have shown that PASS outperforms existing schemes such as Epidemic, binary spray & wait and AMR with respect to routing cost and adaptability.

In order to improve the performance of time series classification, we introduce a new approach of time series classification. The first step of the approach is to design a feature exaction model based on Trend and Surprise Abstraction tree (TSA-tree). The second step of the approach is to combine the exacted global feature and 1 nearest neighbor to classify time series. The proposed approach is compared with a number of known classifiers by experiments in artificial and real-world data sets. The experimental results show it can reduce the error rates of time series classification, so it is highly competitive with previous approaches.

Evolutionary algorithms have been adopted to design logic circuits for many years. However, it takes too much time for evolutionary algorithms to generate circuits directly. Recently, the repair technique has been introduced into evolutionary design of the circuit to significantly decrease the time cost. And yet, the repair technique costs a lot of gate resource. In this paper, the evolutionary repair for evolutionary design of the combinational circuit is proposed, which generates the repair circuits with an evolutionary algorithm. The evolutionary repair could reduce the gate resource cost and does not spend much more time. The evolutionary repair is merged into the traditional evolutionary algorithm to form a novel evolutionary design algorithm, i.e. the erEDA. The experimental results demonstrate that the erEDA could balance the time cost and the gate resource consumption.

The transfer regulation of qualitative constrain is used in the simulation and reasoning of system diagnosis. This arithmetic takes observed faulty state as the beginning, to diagnosis the discrepancy of variable and location of the causation according to the transfer regulation of qualitative constraint, reasons from faulty diagnosed to examine the result and delete the redundancy of diagnosis result. Testing is a critical activity to find software errors. And choosing an effective test suite is the key problem in software testing area. Program invariant, as an attribute of program, can record the implementation state of test case very well and reveal the coverage of program data. In this paper, we integrate adaptive random testing and invariant technology, and present a new method which makes full use of the feedback information of program invariant and invalid case suite to generate the next case. Experiment results show that, compared with other similar methods, running for the same time, our method can achieve higher coverage and faster convergence speed.
