Testing is a critical activity to find software errors. And choosing an effective test suite is the key problem in software testing area. Program invariant, as an attribute of program, can record the implementation state of test case very well and reveal the coverage of program data. In this paper, we integrate adaptive random testing and invariant technology, and present a new method which makes full use of the feedback information of program invariant and invalid case suite to generate the next case. Experiment results show that, compared with other similar methods, running for the same time, our method can achieve higher coverage and faster convergence speed. © 2011 Springer-Verlag.

Appropriate dealing with boundary conditions is very important for SPH. Current boundary treatment methods like boundary force method, ghost particle method and virtual boundary layer method, when dealing with complex boundaries, they will have to compute much on putting external particles. For resolving this problem, we propose a new method assuming part of boundary surface instead of external particles, called effective force surface, directly repels the internal particles which approach sufficiently close. We call this new method EFS method. It is implemented in the SPH model for simulating fluid in rabbit-type cup and dam-breaking. In the former case, liquid flows vividly and no internal particles penetrate boundaries. In the latter case, the result is similar to existing result. The experimental results show that EFS method can effectively and precisely deal with complex boundary conditions. © 2010 IEEE.

We present a novel method of Object-Oriented test case generation based on UML state diagrams and lab.l Transition System (LTS). The procedure is based on model-based testing techniques with test cases generated from UML state diagrams translated into LTS. UML state diagram can be a model of modeling software system. LTS model is an internal model to precisely represent the state transition. The examples and analysis show that our method is effective. ©2009 IEEE.

By using the knowledge of facial structure and temperature distribution, this paper proposes an automatic eye localization method from infrared thermal images. A facial structure consisting of 15 sub-regions is proposed to extract Haar-like features. Eight classifiers are learned from the features selected by Adaboost algorithm for left and right eye, respectively. A vote strategy is used to find the most likely eyes. Experimental results on the NVIE and Equinox databases show the effectiveness of our approach. © 2013 Springer-Verlag.

Buffer overflow (BOF) is one of the major vulnerabilities that lead to non-secure software. Testing an implementation for BOF vulnerabilities is challenging as the underlying reasons of buffer overflow vary widely. This paper presents a novel method for BOF test for ANSI C language, which uses program instrumentation and mutation test technology to test the BOF vulnerabilities, on the basis of analyzing the invariants for BOF vulnerabilities. The implementation shows that it can check the attack of BOF vulnerabilities adequately and accurately, in the circumstances of no large losses in performance. © 2009 IEEE.

This paper proposes an approach to generate emotional music using Interactive Genetic Algorithm. Performance rules are described by the KTH rule system. Different emotional expressions can be modeled by using selections of rules and rule weights. Interactive Genetic Algorithm is applied to optimize rule weights based on users' subjective evaluation. Users can get their satisfied emotional music with the help of GA, although they have no profound knowledge for composition. Two kinds of emotional music with the states of happy and sad are obtained finally. The Sheffé's method of paired comparisons is carried out to estimate the effectiveness of generated music. In the confidence interval of 99%, the music generated by the proposed approach are more approbatory than that generated by the expert, both for the emotion of happy and sad. © 2008 IEEE.

Attitude, which is the outward manifestation of human psychology information, is inevitable in everyday situation. Attitude recognition by artificial intelligence has become a hotspot and produced promising results in recent years. In this paper, we propose an attitude recognition method based on eye-tracking. We first improve the eye location algorithm in OpenCV and assume that the trajectory of eyes-center is the same with that of head. Then using eye location method, the center of eyes is calculated. By analysis of displacement of eyes' centers in each two successive frames, sub-result is obtained. The final result is determined by voting algorithm. Experimental results indicate that this method could recognize positive and negative attitudes in real time. We applied our method to "KeJia", an intelligent service robot and it worked well. © 2011 ACM.

By researching Voronoi diagram, parallel algorithm, and divide-and-conquer method, we present a special data structure(change doubly-connected list little) for Voronoi diagram generation in parallel. In this paper we also present two proposal, they are one processor gradually to merge and 22-merger on the parallel machine, the experiment results show that the present algorithm runs faster than the serial program. By analyzing the various results, we should choose the most suitable number of processors according to the point set scale. At last, we can conclude that gradually merger with one processor is better proposal for Voronoi diagram parallel generation. ©2009 IEEE.

This paper proposes a novel approach to search for the optimal combination of a measure function and feature weights using an evolutionary algorithm. Different combinations of measure function and feature weights are used to construct the searching space. Genetic Algorithm is applied as an evolutionary algorithm to search for the candidate solution, in which the classification rate of the K-Nearest Neighbor classifier is used as the fitness value. Three experiments are carefully designed to show the attractiveness of our approach. In the first experiment, an artificial data set is constructed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach by testing whether it could find the optimal combination of measure function and feature weights which satisfy the data set. In the second experiment, data sets from the University of California at Irvine are employed to verify the general applicability of the method. Finally, a prostate cancer data set is used to show its effectiveness on high-dimensional data. © 2012 Springer-Verlag.

In this paper a method for precisely reconstructing porous media three-dimensional model based on slice images is proposed. It first processes the original slice images, then uses 3D seed filling algorithm to find all pores based on the constructed spatial data, finally uses the modified marching cubes algorithm based on bounding box technology to render material skeletons and pores. Associating with the porous media flow specific application, a novel invalid pore removing method is proposed. The final reconstructed model shows that our method can precisely reconstruct the pore network and recover the pore shape. It also can identify the pores which meet spatial scale threshold conditions. Comparison of running time between the original marching cubes algorithm and the modified marching cubes algorithm is given. It shows that due to the bounding box technology the running time of modified marching cubes algorithm is shorten greatly when the pores are far away from each other. ©2009 IEEE.
