Correlation-aware probabilistic data summarization for large-scale multi-block scientific data visualization

In this paper,we propose a correlationaware probabilistic data summarization technique to efficiently analyze and visualize large-scale multi-block volume data generated by massively parallel scientific *** core of our technique is correlation modeling of distribution representations of adjacent data blocks using copula functions and accurate data value estimation by combining numerical information,spatial location,and correlation distribution using Bayes’*** effectively preserves statistical properties without merging data blocks in different parallel computing nodes and repartitioning them,thus significantly reducing the computational ***,this enables reconstruction of the original data more accurately than existing *** demonstrate the effectiveness of our technique using six datasets,with the largest having one billion grid *** experimental results show that our approach reduces the data storage cost by approximately one order of magnitude compared to state-of-the-art methods while providing a higher reconstruction accuracy at a lower computational cost.

In the context of the digital age, online public opinion has rapidly emerged as a key manifestation of social sentiment. The spread of campus public opinion is primarily through the internet, characterized by high attention, rapid dissemination, and a special group, which can easily lead to secondary social consequences and has a profound impact on school management, student mental health, and the formulation of educational policies. This requires school administrators to be able to capture and effectively analyze public opinion dynamics in a timely manner to make appropriate responses. However, in the face of massive amounts of public opinion data, traditional monitoring and management methods are no longer sufficient. This paper proposes a campus public opinion registration and management system based on the Knuth-Morris-Pratt (KMP) algorithm, aiming to improve the efficiency and accuracy of public opinion monitoring. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In response to the increasingly complex and diverse network security threats, a network security monitoring system is introduced that combines intelligent algorithms and Python software to achieve efficient and accurate real-time security monitoring and protection. Firstly, the system collects network traffic and log data through libraries such as Scapy and Pyshark, and performs preprocessing. Then, using Python's machine learning library Scikit learn, features are extracted, including traffic patterns, protocol types, source IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, etc., to construct a classification model. Next, based on the characteristics of network attacks, the random forest algorithm in supervised learning is selected to train the annotated attack samples. The false alarm rate of the system is 3.1%, indicating that when detecting the spread of malicious software, the system occasionally misjudges normal file transfers as malicious behavior. The system has significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of network security monitoring through the application of intelligent algorithms, and has broad application prospects. © 2024 IEEE.

This article explores the application of computer vision technology in user interface design, particularly through gesture recognition to enhance human–computer interaction. Gestures offer natural and versatile advantages in the process of human–computer interaction. Vision-based gesture recognition technology has broad application potential in virtual environments, sign language recognition, machine control, and other fields. In the task of gesture recognition in user interface design, the recognition results are affected by some irrelevant factors, such as dynamic backgrounds and close-fitting clothing. The attention mechanism is a good way to address the above problems, as it applies weights to key areas to extract essential features, thereby improving the model's performance. Several commonly used attention mechanisms, such as spatial attention, channel attention, and mixed attention mechanisms, can only apply attention to a single-frame image, focusing on specific regions. However, gestures consist of sequences of multiple-frame images, and the recognition results are collectively influenced by multiple-frame gesture images. The aforementioned attention mechanisms cannot meet the requirements effectively. To address this issue, a joint intra-frame and inter-frame attention module has been investigated. The model is able to prevent the impact of irrelevant elements during the gesture identification process because of this module's ability to apply attention concurrently across many consecutive frames and inside a single frame. In order to further user interface design, this study employs convolutional neural networks to include gesture recognition. These results shed light on how computer vision technology may revolutionize UI design and enhance user experiences. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Personalized learning plays a critical role in enhancing educational outcomes by customizing experiences to meet individual learners' unique needs, preferences, and abilities. Although Large Language Models (LLMs) offer promising opportunities for personalization through natural language interactions, they face challenges related to maintaining long-term context and ensuring traceability of a learner's evolving knowledge. This paper introduces a composite AI framework that merges an LLM-powered conversational agent with Knowledge Graphs (KGs) structured according to Knowledge Space Theory (KST), enhanced by advanced retrieval tools and a robust long-term memory mechanism. This system autonomously orchestrates meaningful, context-aware dialogues while utilizing function calling to access various tools, effectively bridging the gap between dynamic interactions and structured knowledge representation. Our empirical evaluations indicate that the proposed system excels in maintaining coherent dialogues, accurately tracking learner progress, and providing reliable, personalized educational support. By addressing the limitations of standalone LLMs and traditional adaptive learning systems, this integrated approach signifies a notable advancement in intelligent educational technology. © 2024 IEEE.

Blockchain-based secure and transparent election and vote counting mechanism using secret sharing scheme

Privacy and transparency in vote counting are the most prevalent concerns these days due to the involvement of untrusted authorities in the counting process. As a result, the counting process faces significant privacy, trust, and transparency hurdles. Hence, there is a need for an efficient and trusted mechanism to resolve such problems. Blockchain technology has the potential to bring transparency and trust in several applications. Therefore, in this work, we explore blockchain technology in conjunction with a secure partitioning scheme to promote transparency, trust, and privacy between users and participating authorities in a decentralized platform. This paper presents a chaincode-based implementation of our proposed secure and verifiable vote counting mechanism that enables trust and fairness over a decentralized platform. Multiple authorities participate in the vote counting process in a trusted manner to cooperate and coordinate in a decision process over a decentralized platform. Our research exhibits that blockchain technology can eliminate the trust gaps and increase transparency and fairness in the election and vote counting procedure. We register user votes in the blockchain platform based on the secret sharing mechanism to enable fairness and openness between counting authorities. Each vote is recorded into the distributed ledger to support openness and verifiability in our mechanism. The ledger is accessible to every registered user as per the permissioned blockchain policy. We created many authorities in the blockchain network and deployed multiple smart contracts on the Hyperledger platform to analyze the feasibility of our strategy. The performance results are obtained and reported using the Hyperledger Caliper benchmark tool. The results demonstrate that the proposed chaincode-based solution achieves the highest throughput at 200–400 tps for fetching and removing contracts. We achieve the optimal latency of 18.09 s for the vote distribution contract

Faithful geometric measures for genuine tripartite entanglement

We present a faithful geometric picture for genuine tripartite entanglement of discrete, continuous, and hybrid quantum systems. We first find that the triangle relation Ei|jkα≤Ej|ikα+Ek|ijα holds for all subadditive bipartite entanglement measure E, all permutations under parties i,j,k, all α∈[0,1], and all pure tripartite states. Then, we rigorously prove that the nonobtuse triangle area, enclosed by side Eα with 0<α≤1/2, is a measure for genuine tripartite entanglement. Finally, it is significantly strengthened for qubits that given a set of subadditive and nonsubadditive measures, some state is always found to violate the triangle relation for any α>1, and the triangle area is not a measure for any α>1/2. Our results pave the way to study discrete and continuous multipartite entanglement within a unified framework.

In this work, a novel methodological approach to multi-attribute decision-making problems is developed and the notion of Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Set Distance Measures (HNSDM) is introduced. By averaging the Penta-Partitioned Neutrosophic Distance Measures under particular conditional criteria, the suggested technique ranks the options. Additionally, we explore the fundamental characteristics of HNSDM and provide several illustrative theorems. The Heptapartitioned Neutrosophic Set Distance Measures are formulated based on the Hepta Neutrosophic Set. We consider the problem of allocating m indivisible chores to n agents with additive disvaluation (cost) functions. It is easy to show that there are picking sequences that give every agent (that uses the greedy picking strategy) a bundle of chores of disvalue at most twice her share value (maximin share, MMS, for agents of equal entitlement, and anyprice share, APS, for agents of arbitrary entitlement). Aziz, Li and Wu (2022) designed picking sequences that improve this ratio to 5/3 for the case of equal entitlement. We design picking sequences that improve the ratio to 1.733 for the case of arbitrary entitlement, and to 8/5 for the case of equal entitlement. (In fact, computer assisted analysis suggests that the ratio is smaller than 1.543 in the equal entitlement case.) We also prove a lower bound of 3/2 on the obtainable ratio when n is sufficiently *** results trivially imply that (for additive valuation over chores) in the arbitrary entitlement case, there always is an allocation that gives every agent at most 1.733APS, and in the equal entitlement case, there always is a distribution over allocations that gives every agent at most 1.6MMS ex-post, and at most the proportional share ex-ante. Neither of these implications were previously known to *** contributions of our work include improved guarantees in the equal entitlement case when n is small;introduction of the chore share as a convenient proxy to other share notions for chores;introduction of ex-ante notions of envy for risk averse agents, and enhancements to our picking sequences that eliminate such envy. © 2023 Owner/Author(s).
