Fairness concern behavior, a well-known cognitive bias, refers to a person’s attitude of dissatisfaction for unequal pay-offs in someone’s favor. Against environmental pollution, many firms are focused on green manufacturing to maintain sustainable development. The adoption of online shopping by customers around the globe has altered the dynamics of competitiveness in the retail supply chain (SC). Considering the above facts, the effect of fairness concern on optimal prices and channel members’ profits in a two-level dual channel SC is investigated. Here, we consider an SC comprising a green manufacturer and a fair-minded retailer where the manufacturer produces and sells the green product through both offline and online channels to consumers. Due to uncertainty in the real world, the fuzziness is associated with market demand, price elasticity, and the coefficient of greenness. The fuzzy objectives and constraints are reduced to crisp ones using expectation and possibility measures, respectively. Both centralized and decentralized models (with and without cognitive bias) are formulated and solved by the Stackelberg game for the optimal prices and product greenness level. The models’ optimal solutions are analyzed and compared with the deterministic models numerically. The effects of the fairness concern coefficient on the optimal prices, product greenness level, and channel members’ profits are investigated. The sensitivity analyses are presented to study the effects of the fuzzy degree of customers’ sensitivity toward greenness on channel members’ profits. Retailer’s fairness is harmful to the manufacturer but beneficial for her own profit. The heat and mass transport with Arrhenius activation energy has countless uses such as in nuclear reactors, the synthesis of chemical compounds, geothermal artificial lakes, and retrieval of thermal lubricants. The focus of this work is the analysis of Arrhenius activation energy and binary chemical reaction in a stagnation point Casson nanofluid flow over a stretching sheet. The system is subjected to a nonlinear radiation and a magnetic field. The transport equations are simplified using the Williams and Rhyne non-similar transformation. The solution to the transformed coupled system of nonlinear partial differential equations is obtained using the bivariate spectral quasi-linearisation method. Entropy generation that measures the degenerate useful energy and deprivation of the performance of engineering systems is analysed. Numerical results describing changes in the fluid velocity, temperature, concentration, entropy generation and Bejan number are presented and discussed for different fluid parameters. Activation energy parameter boosts up the solute concentration at the surface while an opposite is observed far away from the surface. The entropy generation decreases with an increase in the unsteady parameter and Casson number, while the opposite response was observed for a higher Reynolds number. Brinkman number gears up the entropy generation while it shows an opposite phenomenon for Bejan number. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

The accurate prediction of the friction angle of clays is crucial for assessing slope stability in engineering *** study addresses the importance of estimating the friction angle and presents the development of four soft computing models:YJ-FPA-MLPnet,YJ-CRO-MLPnet,YJ-ACOC-MLPnet,and *** of all,the Yeo-Johnson(YJ)transformation technique was used to stabilize the variance of data and make it more suitable for parametric statistical models that assume normality and equal *** technique is expected to improve the accuracy of friction angle prediction *** friction angle prediction models then utilized multi-layer perceptron neural networks(MLPnet)and metaheuristic optimization algorithms to further enhance performance,including flower pollination algorithm(FPA),coral reefs optimization(CRO),ant colony optimization continuous(ACOC),and cuckoo search algorithm(CSA).The prediction models without the YJ technique,***-MLPnet,CRO-MLPnet,ACOC-MLPnet,and CSA-MLPnet,were then compared to those with the YJ technique,***-FPA-MLPnet,YJ-CRO-MLPnet,YJ-ACOC-MLPnet,and *** these,the YJ-CRO-MLPnet model demonstrated superior reliability,achieving an accuracy of up to 83%in predicting the friction angle of clay in practical engineering *** improvement is significant,as it represents an increase from 1.3%to approximately 20%compared to the models that did not utilize the YJ transformation technique.

This research study proposes a cooperative and non-cooperative game theory strategy. The study’s objectives are to examine how carbon emissions impact the supply chain, especially in means of quality control and cost restriction, and to evaluate the effectiveness of game theory in addressing the issue. To gather and evaluate both quantitative and qualitative data for the study, a mixed-methods technique is used. The importance of reducing carbon emissions in supply chains is emphasized in the study, as are the benefits of using cooperative and non-cooperative game theory strategies to achieve this goal. The paper improves knowledge on supply chain management by offering an approach for simulating carbon emissions in a network of supply chains. The necessity for smart energy oversight solutions has arisen in response to the rising popularity of energy-efficient home automation and other energy-saving technologies. Optimizing smart home energy use using multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) is a proven methodology. However, the procedure for making decisions and MCDM’s capacity to handle various criteria are typically limiting factors. Hybrid methods, which integrate multiple decision-making approaches like Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Modular Neural Networks (MNN), could potentially be able to circumvent these restrictions and boost energy management systems’ efficacy and precision. This investigation presents a hybrid Neuro-Fuzzy (H-NF) method for MCDM in regulating energy for smart homes by combining FL with an MNN. The suggested approach would optimize energy use in smart homes by considering several parameters, notably cost, ease of use, and environmental effects. In addition, this study aims to examine how the H-NF model fares in comparison to other methods of making important decisions in terms of several performance metrics. The suggested hybridized approach has the potential to deliver more precise and effective decision-making processes for energy management in smart homes, allowing users to optimize their energy consumption while preserving comfort and lowering environmental impact. © 2024 Taylor and Francis Inc.. In recent years, the effective utilization of edge servers to assist vehicles in handling compute-intensive and latency-sensitive tasks has emerged as a pivotal concern in Vehicular Edge Computing (VEC). In this paper, we adopt a cooperative approach that leverages the collective capabilities of multiple edge servers. This strategy is designed to effectively manage tasks and alleviate the computational burden imposed on these servers. Specifically, Graph Neural Network (GNN) is applied to extract and classify features such as the geographical locations and communication statuses of multiple edge servers, enabling the selection of the most suitable servers for collaborative task execution. We have utilized solar energy for local computing, effectively achieving environmental protection and reducing the local energy burden on vehicles. Moreover, a novel edge attraction formula is defined to refine the rationality of clustering. In addition, Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) is employed to make real-time offloading decisions. To ensure experimental accuracy while mitigating costs, we establish a corresponding digital twin environment to acquire experimental data. By conducting a comparative analysis against three other baseline methods, we effectively reduce task completion time and thus meet the stringent demands of time-sensitive tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

In response to the increasingly complex and diverse network security threats, a network security monitoring system is introduced that combines intelligent algorithms and Python software to achieve efficient and accurate real-time security monitoring and protection. Firstly, the system collects network traffic and log data through libraries such as Scapy and Pyshark, and performs preprocessing. Then, using Python's machine learning library Scikit learn, features are extracted, including traffic patterns, protocol types, source IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, etc., to construct a classification model. Next, based on the characteristics of network attacks, the random forest algorithm in supervised learning is selected to train the annotated attack samples. The false alarm rate of the system is 3.1%, indicating that when detecting the spread of malicious software, the system occasionally misjudges normal file transfers as malicious behavior. The system has significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of network security monitoring through the application of intelligent algorithms, and has broad application prospects.

Gons and holes in point sets have been extensively studied in the literature. For simple drawings of the complete graph a generalization of the Erdos-Szekeres theorem is known and empty triangles have been investigated. We introduce a notion of k-holes for simple drawings and study their existence with respect to the convexity hierarchy. We present a family of simple drawings without 4-holes and prove a generalization of Gerken's empty hexagon theorem for convex drawings. In this paper, we study a generalized quasi-variational inequality (GQVI for short) with twomultivalued operators and two bifunctions in a Banach space setting. A coupling of the Tychonov fixedpoint principle and the Katutani-Ky Fan theorem for multivalued maps is employed to prove a new existencetheorem for the GQVI. We also study a nonlinear optimal control problem driven by the GQVI and givesufficient conditions ensuring the existence of an optimal control. Finally, we illustrate the applicability of thetheoretical results in the study of a complicated Oseen problem for non-Newtonian fluids with a nonmonotone andmultivalued slip boundary condition (i.e., a generalized friction constitutive law), a generalized leak boundarycondition, a unilateral contact condition of Signorini’s type and an implicit obstacle effect, in which themultivalued slip boundary condition is described by the generalized Clarke subgradient, and the leak boundarycondition is formulated by the convex subdifferential operator for a convex superpotential.
