Culture and its dissemination are an important aspect of the identity of a community or country and its population. Peru has a wide diversity of cultural manifestations, but its population tends to overlook them and governmental institutions do not provide efficient support for their promotion and development, limiting their scope and citizen participation. This paper proposes a solution model for a web application that uses recommendation systems to promote culture in Peru. There are many similar proposals that make use of this technology, the most outstanding of them being due to the efficency of the graph neural networks implemented in them. The solution consists of five components and requires web scraping tools and APis to keep the collected data updated. The model presented is a convolutional graph network (GCN) that, when trained with the Amazon Products Electronics dataset, achieves favorable results in terms of recommendation generation. The Machine Learning model designed achieves the mean absolute error less than 1.6 at the level of the experiments performed and it is integrated with three other components that make up our overall proposal at the design level. There are three items that can be developed in future work in order to complete its implementation and improve the efficiency of the components.

Artificial intelligence (Ai) significantly enhances adaptive learning by personalizing and tailoring instruction to individual student needs. Ai analyzes data in real-time to create personalized learning paths based on students' strengths, weaknesses, and preferences, which keeps students engaged and motivated. A major benefit of Ai in adaptive learning is the provision of real-time feedback and assessment, allowing students to correct mistakes promptly and understand concepts more thoroughly. Ai-based intelligent tutoring systems are primarily intended to simulate personalized tutoring processes that guide students in complex problem-solving and answering questions. it is convenient in teaching mathematics, sciences, and languages. Ai also supports inclusive education, dealing with diversified learning requirements and styles, such as those of learners with disabilities. For the teacher, Ai acts as a reflector of student performance so that one can intervene early and make adjustments in the method of instruction by creating effective learning environments. Ai technology is a field in constant development and harbors the potential to change the face of adaptive learning, bringing an upswing in educational outcomes. This article will summarize the advantages and features that merit improvement of the Ai-embedded adaptive learning systems with student feedback. © 2024 iEEE.

The neurological condition epilepsy is demanding and even fatal. Electroencephalogram (EEG)-based epilepsy detection still faces various difficulties. EEG readings fluctuate, and different patients have various seizure activity patterns. EEG signal detection is time-consuming and labour-intensive, which puts a strain on medical staff and raises the possibility of erroneous detections. Usually, electrodes are inserted into the scalp or inside the brain for a brief period of time in order to obtain EEG data. it is essential to research efficient cross-patient automatic epilepsy detection techniques. The multi-head self-attention mechanism recognises long-distance dependencies with the same proficiency as it does temporal dynamic correlations between short-term temporal pattern characteristics and sequential relationships. The contextual representations are inputted into a bidirectional long short-term memory network (BiLSTM) so that information can be extracted in both directions. Classification and training are carried out utilising the log SoftMax algorithm. The experiments utilised scalp EEG data from the CHB-MiT database. Sensitivity, specificity, F1-score, and accuracy were computed to be 96.5 percent, 97.04 percent, 96.6 percent, and 96.2 percent, respectively. The results of the experiment show how well the technique works for detecting seizures in several patients utilising multi-channel EEG recordings. The results also demonstrate the method's improved generalisation capabilities and resilience and consistency in collecting seizure patterns. This is particularly critical for the tertiary diagnosis of epilepsy, and the findings indicate that the proposed method significantly improves the accuracy of detection. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The advent of the COViD-19 pandemic has brought with it not only a global health crisis but also an infodemic characterized by the rampant spread of misinformation on social media platforms. in response to the urgent need for effective misinformation detection, this study presents a comprehensive approach harnessing machine learning and deep learning techniques, culminating in ensemble methods, to combat the proliferation of COViD-19 misinformation on Facebook, Twitter, instagram, and YouTube. Drawing from a rich dataset comprising user comments on these platforms, encompassing diverse COViD-19-related discussions, our research applies SVM, decision tree, logistic regression, and neural networks to perform in-depth analysis and classification of comments into two categories: positive and negative information. The innovation of our approach lies in the final phase, where we employ ensemble methods to consolidate the strengths of various machine learning and deep learning algorithms. After applying ensemble learning, accuracy reached 91% for Facebook content, 79% for instagram, 80% for Twitter, and 95% for YouTube. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

High dropout rates globally perpetuate educational disparities with various underlying causes. Despite numerous strategies to address this issue, more attention should be given to understanding and addressing student emotions during classes. This lack of focus adversely affects learner engagement and retention rates. While previous studies on online learning have primarily emphasized the effectiveness of technology, infrastructure, cognition, motivation, and economic benefits, there is still a gap in understanding the emotional aspects of distance learning. First, this study addresses this gap by employing thematic modeling and utilizing non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) for emotion recognition through students’ deep learning techniques and facial emotion recognition (FER). Second, statistical analysis of these findings further augments the depth of the study. Finally, the research proposes a mathematical model based on the random walk of emotional state transitions. The findings of this study underscore the importance of considering emotions in distance learning environments and their significant impact on student's academic performance and satisfaction. By acknowledging and addressing these emotional factors, educators can enhance learner engagement, promote positive emotions, mitigate negative emotions during online learning, and ultimately improve the effectiveness of online courses. © 2024 The Authors

The paper discusses the integration and use of generative artificial intelligence technologies in education. Generative Ai, such as OpenAi, in particular the GPT model, has fundamentally changed the way humans interact with machines. Advanced technologies in the field of generative Ai in education are mostly used to personalize learning experiences by dynamically customizing learning materials according to the needs of learners, thus enabling the improvement of outcomes. This article explores the use of generative Ai tools with the aim of assessing how useful students perceive these tools to be. The findings show mixed receptivity from users, highlighting the critical balance in using innovative Ai capabilities through Ai. © 2024 iEEE.

Serious security and privacy problems have arisen as a result of significant advancements in the creation of deepfakes. Attackers can easily replace a person’s face with the target person’s face in an image using sophisticated Deep learning (DL) algorithms to spoof their identity. Deepfakes detection algorithms have been proposed in response to the growing concerns about the potential harm caused by deepfakes. However, a reliable deepfakes detector that can keep up with contemporary deepfakes creation techniques is required. in this work, we have proposed an end-to-end methodology for detecting manipulated visual content. We used multiple CNN models i.e., ResNet18, ResNet50, DenseNet65, DenseNet77, and DenseNet100 along with the SVM classifier to compute effective cues from the input facial faces to distinguish between actual and altered content. We have also applied the concept of transfer learning to solve the issue of model over-fitting and improve generalizability against different manipulation algorithms. A comparison study is carried out to evaluate the performance of several feature extractors. Through thorough experiments performed using the Deepfakes Detection Challenge dataset, our results demonstrated that DenseNet100 surpasses the other CNN models by better recognizing deepfakes. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)provide intelligent navigation and efficient route management,resulting in time savings and cost reductions in the transportation ***,the exchange of beacons and messages over public channels among vehicles and roadside units renders these networks vulnerable to numerous attacks and privacy *** address these challenges,several privacy and security preservation protocols based on blockchain and public key cryptography have been proposed ***,most of these schemes are limited by a long execution time and massive communication costs,which make them inefficient for on-board units(OBUs).Additionally,some of them are still susceptible to many *** such,this study presents a novel protocol based on the fusion of elliptic curve cryptography(ECC)and bilinear pairing(BP)*** formal security analysis is accomplished using the Burrows–Abadi–Needham(BAN)logic,demonstrating that our scheme is verifiably *** proposed scheme’s informal security assessment also shows that it provides salient security features,such as non-repudiation,anonymity,and ***,the scheme is shown to be resilient against attacks,such as packet replays,forgeries,message falsifications,and *** the performance perspective,this protocol yields a 37.88%reduction in communication overheads and a 44.44%improvement in the supported security ***,the proposed scheme can be deployed in VANETs to provide robust security at low overheads.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of technology-based interventions on academic performance. To achieve this purpose a systematic review was conducted. Within the scope of this study EBSCO, Springer, ProQuest, science Direct, Wiley Online Library, Taylor and Francis Online, databases were scanned, and 18 studies were included in the review. Our results show that the iPad is the most preferred digital device for enhancing math and reading skills and significant results can be seen when used. Similar positive effects were observed with other technological devices, reinforcing the effectiveness of technology as a tool for supporting academic performance. This evidence underscores the value of incorporating digital devices in educational strategies, particularly for improving key academic skills. © 2024 iEEE.
