The news ticker is a common feature of many different news networks that display headlines and other *** ticker recognition applications are highly valuable in e-business and news surveillance for media regulatory *** this paper,we focus on the automatic Arabic Ticker Recognition system for the Al-Ekhbariya news *** primary emphasis of this research is on ticker recognition methods and storage *** that end,the research is aimed at character-wise explicit segmentation using a semantic segmentation technique and words identification *** proposed learning architecture considers the grouping of homogeneousshaped *** incorporates linguistic taxonomy in a unified manner to address the imbalance in data distribution which leads to individual ***,experiments with a novel ArabicNews Ticker(Al-ENT)dataset that provides accurate character-level and character components-level labeling to evaluate the effectiveness of the suggested *** proposed method attains 96.5%,outperforming the current state-of-the-art technique by 8.5%.The study reveals that our strategy improves the performance of lowrepresentation correlated character classes.

Goal-oriented requirements engineering (GORE) for Systems of Systems (SoS) includes combining individual operational systems local goals to achieve higher-level goals. GORE offers a structured approach to managing complex requirements, ensuring that strategic goals are translated into operational tasks. This paper provides a review of GORE frameworks, including those incorporating Model-Based Systems engineering (MBSE), that could be used in the management of complex Systems of Systems. The paper analyzes recent GORE frameworks such as CGS4Adaptation which combines Goals and SysML for managing adaptive Socio-Cyber-Physical Systems (SCPSs);GORE-based approach to Energy Management Systems (EnMS);Model-Based and Goal-Oriented Approach for the conceptual design of smart grid services;GORE and reference architecture approach for microgrid systems;and Adaptation-Oriented Requirement Modeling approach (ADORE). A comparative analysis is conducted to assess the extent of effectiveness these frameworks provide for improving SoS traceability, adaptability, and system design integrity. The paper concludes with key findings on the strengths and limitations of the considered frameworks, on the basis of which, major conclusions on how GORE combined with MBSE can be used for managing SoS requirements in Smart Grid (SG) and socio-cyber-physical systems could be drawn. This review paper also contributes to the requirements engineering domain by outlining effective strategies for designing and managing complex, adaptive Systems of Systems. © 2024 iEEE.

The main challenge for billiard players, regardless of their skill level, is to develop a strategy that allows them to consecutively pocket balls in a single turn, commonly known as 'closing the table.' This strategy requires high precision and consistency, especially for less experienced players. This study integrates a YOLOv8n model, a shot suggestion algorithm, and a shot prediction algorithm to build a system that aids players in developing this 'table closing' strategy through visual guides indicating the shots to take and where to position the cue ball for the next shot. The proposed system follows these phases: (1) Selection of the video camera, (2) Selection of the object detection technique, (3) Development of the shot suggestion algorithm, (4) Development of the shot prediction algorithm, and (5) System construction. Phases (1) and (2) address the implementation of the YOLOv8n model, while phases (3) and (4) involve the development of algorithms for the 'table closing' strategy. To validate the system's effectiveness, an experiment with 24 players of different skill levels was conducted, showing that the system reduced the average number of shots needed to close a table to 22, compared to the 47-shot average of professional players. Beginners accepted 100% of the system's recommendations, while intermediate and professional players showed acceptance rates of 95.1% and 95.6%, respectively. A survey indicated high overall satisfaction, with a median response of 4.5 on a 5-point scale. The system also demonstrates significant competitive advantages over existing solutions by maintaining high detection and prediction accuracy while effectively functioning in real-world scenarios, leveraging the latest advances in computer vision to surpass older techniques in both effectiveness and efficiency. © 2024 iEEE.

Skin cancer detection with MobileNet-based transfer learning and MixNets for enhanced diagnosis

Skin cancer poses a significant health hazard, necessitating the utilization of advanced diagnostic methodologies to facilitate timely detection, owing to its escalating prevalence in recent years. This paper proposes a novel approach to tackle the issue by introducing a method for detecting skin cancer that uses MixNets to enhance diagnosis and leverages mobile network-based transfer learning. Skin cancer has diverse forms, each distinguishable by its structural attributes, morphological characteristics, texture, and coloration. The pressing demand for accurate and efficient diagnostic instruments has spurred the investigation of novel techniques. The present study utilizes the iSiC dataset, comprising a validation set of 660 images and a training set of 2637 images. Moreover, the research employs a combination of MixNets and mobile network-based transfer learning as its chosen approach. Transfer learning is a technique that leverages preexisting models to enhance the diagnostic capabilities of the proposed system. integrating MobileNet and MixNets allows for utilizing their respective functionalities, resulting in a dual-model methodology that enhances the comprehensiveness of skin cancer diagnosis. The results demonstrate impressive performance metrics, with MobileNet and MixNets models, and the proposed approach achieves an outstanding accuracy rate of 99.58%. The above findings underscore the efficacy of the dual-model method in effectively discerning between benign and malignant skin lesions. Moreover, the present study aims to examine the potential integration of emerging technologies to enhance the accuracy and practicality of diagnostics within real-world healthcare settings. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2024.

The optimal path for autonomous robots is highly needed, particularly in the industrial communities, manufacturing and social support industries. The meta-heuristic methods are strong and adaptable, and their employment in autonomous problems is taken into consideration. One of the methods used by the researchers is Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). However, this approach is less effective due to a few limitations. Thus, in order to mitigate its shortcomings and enhance the robustness of path planning, this paper aims to compare the different standard ACO algorithm with the new modified built algorithm, which is developed by taking the concept of ACO and extending it by condition-based rules, named as condition based-ant colony concept (CB-ACC), to solve path planning. The theoretical foundation of ACO with modification as another approach are used in this study to illustrate the ACO methods in the path planning, particularly in the static-complex environment. Simulation results show the comparison of the ACO approaches, including the Ant System (AS), the Ant Colony System (ACS) and the modified condition based-ant colony concept (CB-ACC), and how they are effective for static-complex environments compared to conventional ACO algorithms. Moreover, this paper presents the comparison results of the three approaches. © 2024 iEEE.

This paper presents an object detection and classification of the objects using Deep Learning (DL). The integration of object detection algorithms and depth camera developed is capable of providing robots, such as self developed assistive intelligent robot called 'ROSWiTHA' (RObot System WiTH Autonomy) with the ability to detect an object and interpret their surrounding environment. it also provides the real-world coordinates/position of the object in that environment, which helps the robot to perform some applications, such as grabbing and serving, etc. You Only Look Once (YOLO) is one of the most popular object detection algorithms which is treated as a single regression problem and is processed by a single neural network. in this work, the YOLOv5 (YOLO version 5) network is implemented on a depth camera 'RealSense' for processing object detection and estimating the position of the objects. The model is trained on reduced/filtered application-required objects (e.g. bottle and cup) from the available COCO dataset, and the training outcome alongside the performance of the overall system was evaluated. The results exhibited a satisfactory performance of the model in accurately detecting and classifying the objects with a high confidence score ranging from the least to7 2% to the highest of9 0%. The confidence score could also be adjusted by the user on the developed GUi to attain the most certain predictions. © 2024 iEEE.

Sentiment analysis, a crucial task in discerning emotional tones within the text, plays a pivotal role in understandingpublic opinion and user sentiment across diverse *** numerous scholars conduct sentiment analysisin widely spoken languages such as English, Chinese, Arabic, Roman Arabic, and more, we come to grapplingwith resource-poor languages like Urdu literature which becomes a challenge. Urdu is a uniquely crafted language,characterized by a script that amalgamates elements from diverse languages, including Arabic, Parsi, Pashtu,Turkish, Punjabi, Saraiki, and more. As Urdu literature, characterized by distinct character sets and linguisticfeatures, presents an additional hurdle due to the lack of accessible datasets, rendering sentiment analysis aformidable undertaking. The limited availability of resources has fueled increased interest among researchers,prompting a deeper exploration into Urdu sentiment analysis. This research is dedicated to Urdu languagesentiment analysis, employing sophisticated deep learning models on an extensive dataset categorized into fivelabels: Positive, Negative, Neutral, Mixed, and Ambiguous. The primary objective is to discern sentiments andemotions within the Urdu language, despite the absence of well-curated datasets. To tackle this challenge, theinitial step involves the creation of a comprehensive Urdu dataset by aggregating data from various sources such asnewspapers, articles, and socialmedia comments. Subsequent to this data collection, a thorough process of cleaningand preprocessing is implemented to ensure the quality of the data. The study leverages two well-known deeplearningmodels, namely Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), for bothtraining and evaluating sentiment analysis performance.
