The paper examines an approach to arrange marine autonomous surface ships (both with and without crew) traffic surveillance illustrated with the Amur Bay and the Golden Horn Bay water area of the city of Vladivostok. The approach involves real-time application of a computer alliance based on General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite navigation technologies. The research presents the diagram of the system to observe autonomous surface ships located in the coastal area, as well as the assessment algorithm of the current navigation. Machine learning methods applied for analyzing the obtained information contribute to the fast and quite accurate review of the surface navigation, as well as hazard evaluation of vehicles caught in the area of heading in a sea autonomous surface vessel assessment. © 2023 iEEE.

With the increasing frequency of extreme weather events and natural disasters, insurance providers around the world are facing enormous challenges. This study addresses insurance claims resulting from these disasters by developing a comprehensive disaster insurance risk assessment model, focusing on Japan, a country prone to frequent earthquakes. The model integrates a Catastrophe Model, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and an expert scoring method to optimize the risk assessment and compensation process for historic buildings. The results show that the model has strong predictive power, which provides valuable insights for insurance companies, policymakers, and urban planners in mitigating the impact of disasters and protecting cultural heritage.

A graph is called $H$-free if the graph has no subgraph being isomorphic to $H$. The classical Tur\'an problem aims to determine the maximum size of an $H$-free graph with given order. in 2010, Nikiforov introduced the spectral Tur\'an-type problem: Determine the maximum spectral radius of an $H$-free graph with given order. He also presented the following conjecture: For sufficiently large $\nu$ and for $k\geq 2$, the graph $K_k\vee (\overline{K_{\nu-k-2}}\cup K_2)$ is the unique $\nu$-vertex $\{C_{2k+1}, C_{2k+2}\}$-free graph having the largest spectral radius and $K_k\vee \overline{K_{\nu-k}}$ is the unique $\nu$-vertex $C_{2k+2}$-free graph having the largest spectral radius. Recently, this conjecture was confirmed by Cioab\u{a}, Desai and Tait. in this contribution, we resolve the Nikiforov's even cycle conjecture for bipartite graphs. Let $\nu$ and $k$ be two integers satisfying $\nu\geq 1$ if $k=1,$ and $\nu \geq \left(\frac{7^22^{24}k\left(2k-1\right)^2(k+1)^{20}} {(2k-3)^2}\right)^{\frac{k+1}{k-1}}$ if $k\geq 2$. Then we show that the complete bipartite graph $K_{k,\nu-k}$ uniquely maximizes the spectral radius over the set of $C_{2k+2}$-free bipartite graphs of order $\nu$. © 2024, The Authors. Two plane drawings of graphs on the same set of points are called disjoint compatible if their union is plane and they do not have an edge in common. Let S be a convex point set of 2n ≥ 10 points and let H be a family of plane drawings on S. Two plane perfect matchings M1 and M2 on S (which do not need to be disjoint nor compatible) are disjoint H-compatible if there exists a drawing in H which is disjoint compatible to both M1 and M2. in this work, we consider the graph which has all plane perfect matchings as vertices and where two vertices are connected by an edge if the matchings are disjoint H-compatible. We study the diameter of this graph when H is the family of all plane spanning trees, caterpillars or paths. We show that in the first two cases the graph is connected with constant and linear diameter, respectively, while in the third case it is disconnected. © 2024, CC BY-NC-ND.

Most differential privacy mechanisms are applied (i.e., composed) numerous times on sensitive data. We study the design of optimal differential privacy mechanisms in the limit of a large number of compositions. As a consequence of the law of large numbers, in this regime the best privacy mechanism is the one that minimizes the Kullback-Leibler divergence between the conditional output distributions of the mechanism given two different inputs. We formulate an optimization problem to minimize this divergence subject to a cost constraint on the noise. We first prove that additive mechanisms are optimal. Since the optimization problem is infinite dimensional, it cannot be solved directly; nevertheless, we quantize the problem to derive nearoptimal additive mechanisms that we call "cactus mechanisms" due to their shape. We show that our quantization approach can be arbitrarily close to an optimal mechanism. Surprisingly, for quadratic cost, the Gaussian mechanism is strictly suboptimal compared to this cactus mechanism. Finally, we provide numerical results which indicate that cactus mechanisms outperform Gaussian and Laplace mechanisms for a finite number of *** full proofs can be found in the extended version at [1]. Considering the estimated prevalence reported by recent studies on Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and the heavy demand caused by ASD people on families and on educational, social, and medical services, there is a significant and increasing need for effective and efficient care strategies able not only to ensure that ASD persons achieve optimal outcomes and improve their quality of life, but also to support all involved professionals, families, caregivers, and social networks. The potential benefit of iCT-based approach in ASD treatment has been testified by recent literature results regarding, e.g., the exploitation of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) in assistive and cognitive rehabilitation tools. in this position paper we sketch our enlarged vision of iCT-based personalized continuous integrated ASD care services designed under a Socio-Technical (ST) approach and supporting not only ASD treatment but all involved stakeholders, their activities and needs, as well as the interaction among them. The resulting complexity of such overall ST system, the heterogeneity of its components in terms of activities, involved stakeholders, contexts of use (e.g., clinical setting, home setting, schools), and services (e.g., medical guidance, crisis management, real-time monitoring), as well as the necessity for an evolutionary vision of the system and its offered services, demand for a strong unifying conceptual tool around which all system aspects harmonize and cooperate in smart ways for achieving an individual-based continuous care service. in this paper we argue that the adoption of Digital Twin as unifying conceptual tool and its contamination and cooperation with Artificial intelligence, and VR/AR technologies would be able to boost the achievement of such an ambitious goal, and we discuss possible benefits in typical scenarios related to ASD care (testing, rehabilitation/prosthetic intervention, prediction, crisis management). © 2023 CEUR-WS. Artificial intelligence (Ai) has already changed the industry and is expected to bring more changes. Furthermore, the semiconductor manufacturing area, one of the extremely high-tech industries, is attempting to increase the production efficiency of the manufacturing industry based on a huge amount of data generated from semiconductor production equipment and also attempting to design production equipment through Ai. To understand the trend of these changes, we searched for various keywords including semiconductor manufacturing and Ai, and constructed a dataset through Scopus and Web of science, which are prominent databases, and limited the period to the period from 2020 to the present. We analyzed 1,498 publications from Scopus, 500 publications from Web of science, and a total of 1,579 publications. The number of research publications increased every year, which shows that research on semiconductor manufacturing and Ai is becoming more active with the increasing number of publications, and China and South Korea are the countries that produced the most publications. The main publication sources are the Proceedings of SPiE and iEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing, and the keyword co-occurrence graph shows that there are attempts to apply Ai in various fields of semiconductor manufacturing.

Digital electrical substations are fundamental in providing a reliable basis for Smart Grids. However, the deployment of the iEC-61850 standard for communication between intelligent Electronic Devices (iEDs) brings new security challenges. intrusion Detection Systems (iDSs) play a vital role to ensure the proper function of digital substations services. However, the current literature lacks efficient iDS solutions for certain classes of attacks, such as the Masquerade attack. in this work, we propose the extraction and correlation of relevant multi-layer information to enable the deployment of machine learning-based iDSs in digital substations. Our results demonstrate that the proposed solution can detect attacks that are considered challenging in the literature, attaining an F1-score of up to 95.63% in the evaluated scenarios. © 2022 iEEE.

Many studies show that bearings are the most vulnerable components in low-voltage motors. While advanced bearing diagnostic systems exist, their cost can be a barrier for non-critical machinery due to the potential wait time to see a return on investment. This research explores the feasibility of using basic signal processing techniques on vibration data for bearing condition monitoring. The primary goal is to analyze benchmark data from the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) dataset and establish a baseline performance for this data-driven approach. The results suggest that, with appropriate signal processing, it's possible to achieve early detection of bearing faults, leading to more efficient time-to-fault identification with higher detection accuracies ranging from 83 % to 100 % for each method.

in this paper, a novel approach to visual servo control robotic systems is proposed. it is focused on developing a solution using 3D point features without recovering the rigid object’s pose. Pose-free motion is achieved using motion parameterization techniques based on dual numbers and dual vectors. Considering an imposed velocity field over the motion of the 3D point features ensemble, this work proposes a close-form solution to a visual servoing problem. The solution provides stable motion control while preserving the image features in the field of view. However, when some point features leave the field of view, their contribution to the control law is dropped without losing stability. The proposed solution is easy to tune and implement. Various scenarios are used in simulations and real experiments to show how the proposed solution overcomes classic servoing problems.
