The requirements of optimizing path planning for the autonomous robot are in high demand in such industrial communities, especially in manufacturing and caring social support. The application of meta-heuristic methods in autonomous problems is considered because of their adaptivity and robustness. Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is one of the researchers' approaches because of its effectiveness in the ant community. However, some constraints are making this method less productive. Therefore, this paper is to generate a modified ACO combined with Fuzzy logic (ACOFL) to minimize its drawbacks and maximize the robustness of path planning. This study presents the role of ACO algorithms in Path Planning, especially in the complex aspect, through the theoretical background of ACO and the other combination with other algorithms. The improved mathematics model evaluation demonstrates the upgrade steps in the path-finding process. Simulation results shows that the modified ACO algorithm is effective for complex environment compare to standard ACO algorithm. Moreover, the comparison results are presented in this paper between the standard ACO and modified ACO algorithm. © 2023 iEEE.

Robots are getting deployed at home and in industries, becoming an integral part of our daily lives. Sophisticated mechanisms are required to make the joints of the robots compact and simple. in this paper, we have developed a flexure joint for the fingers of the robotic hand. The flexure joint is arranged in series to make a three-DOF underactuated finger. Five fingers are arranged to make a robotic hand. Castigliano’s theorem is used to develop the deformation related to the applied loads, using the equation the flexure mechanism was designed. Pseudo-rigid model is developed to determine the stiffness of the flexure mechanism. A virtual model of the flexure mechanism is developed in a CAD environment. Finite Element (FE) simulation is conducted to the different loading conditions to evaluate the performance of the flexure mechanism. it was seen that the flexure mechanism is flexible about the rotational axis and stiff about the other axes. The stiffness model developed using the pseudo-rigid model has a good correlation with the FE simulation model. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Digital media triage is a main challenge that faces a digital investigator. Knowing what might be useful during crime investigation could greatly save the investigator's time and enhance outcomes. Memory investigation can get potential benefit from the triage process because of its scattered and diverse contents. The Operating System's paging scheme might map the contents of a file into non-consecutive page frames in the physical memory, making the file-type classification and identification process harder. This paper tackles the memory content triage problem at the page level using a machine-learning methodology. © 2023 iEEE.

To address the matching problem caused by the salience differences in spatial features, spectrum and contrast between heterologous images, a heterologous image matching method based on salience region using Q-test and kernel density estimation is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the center pixel point of each sub-region in the image is detected for salience difference with other points in its neighborhood by using the Q-test method. The detected points are defined as Q-points. Secondly, the point with the largest kernel density in all Q-points is calculated by using kernel density estimation function and defined as the M-point. Then, the region size is defined according to the coordinates of M-point, and the salience region is detected. Finally, to comprehensively evaluate the performance of the proposed method, five common types of heterologous images are selected as data sources, including point cloud depth maps, infrared images, electronic navigational maps, synthetic aperture radar images, and night-time light images. Based on the salience regions, comparative experiments are carried out using histogram of absolute phase consistency gradients (HAPCG) and histogram of the orientation of the weighted phase descriptor (HOWP). The results show that the matching performance of the proposed method is better than that of the original algorithm without salience region, especially on the type of electronic navigational map. © 2024 SPiE.

introducing the emerging serverless paradigm into edge computing could avoid over- and under-provisioning of limited edge resources and make complex edge resource management transparent to application developers, which largely facilitates the cost-effectiveness, portability, and short time-to-market of edge applications. However, the computation/data dispersion and device/network heterogeneity of edge environments prevent current serverless computing platforms from acclimating to the network edge. in this paper, we address such challenges by formulating a container placement and data flow routing problem, which fully considers the heterogeneity of edge networks and the overhead of operating serverless platforms on resource-limited edge servers. We design an online algorithm to solve the problem. We further show its local optimum for each arriving container and prove its theoretical guarantee to the optimal offline solution. We also conduct extensive simulations based on practical experiment results to show the advantages of the proposed algorithm over existing baselines. © 2023 iEEE.

Hidden Markov Models have proved to be a very significant tool for various time-series related problems, especially where context is important. One such problem is Part-of-speech tagging. The work uses a customized HMM to propose an effective and advanced solution to POS tagging. With a precision rate of 0.9657, recall of 0.9656, and F1-score of 0.9655, this proposed HMM-based model achieves an exceptional level of accuracy, exhibiting its accurate identification of the POS of words in a sentence. The statistical model employed by the HMM-based method predicts the most likely POS tags while taking into account the probabilities of transition between various POS tags. The model's dependability and resilience were demonstrated when it was tested on a different dataset after being trained on a extensive collection of text data. The study's findings demonstrate that the HMM-based strategy outperforms current POS tagging techniques, making it a significant contribution to the field of natural language processing. in addition, this research has significant implications for a number of NLP applications, including sentiment analysis, machine translation, and text categorization, paving the way for additional innovation and exploration in this domain. © 2023 iEEE.

Charity giving is a fundamental aspect of society, but there are concerns about the accountability and transparency of the donation process. Blockchain technology has emerged as a potential solution, offering a secure and auditable platform for managing charitable contributions. in this paper, we explore the concept of empowering donors through blockchain technology and examine how it can help ensure that contributions reach the right recipients. We review existing literature on the topic and identify key areas for future research, including the development of hybrid blockchain solutions along with the implementation of novel consensus mechanisms. Moreover, providing the idea of decentralized autonomous organizations, self-executing smart contracts, and integration of blockchain with artificial intelligence and internet of things. By providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of the field and outlining a roadmap for future research, we hope to stimulate further exploration of the potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize charity giving, and create a more accountable and transparent system for managing charitable funds. Some research questions are designed for each novel idea. Our analysis suggests that blockchain has the potential to empower donors and ensure that their contributions make a positive impact in the world, but further research is needed to fully realize its potential. © 2023 iEEE.

For newcomers and tourists, navigating university campuses can be difficult, resulting in aggravation and lost time. We respond by introducing 'GikiLenS', an object identification application driven by deep learning that revolutionizes campus exploration by accurately identifying buildings and landmarks while enhancing user experience. GikiLenS is a comprehensive and user-friendly smartphone application that precisely caters to the demands of newcomers and visitors, unlike previous studies in campus navigation. Our study intends to close this gap and develop a reliable method for identifying campus buildings, optimizing navigation, and enhancing user experience. Through rigorous testing, GikiLenS has proven to have remarkable real-time building detection accuracy, highlighting its potential as an important tool for campus exploration. The app's outcomes and conclusions demonstrate how well it works to give users specific building information, promoting a more knowledgeable and enjoyable campus experience. The importance of our findings lies in the development of a unique, user-centered app that offers a cutting-edge method of campus mobility. Our contribution consists of a game-changing method for building detection that improves campus exploration and user pleasure. © 2023 iEEE.

Glaucoma,a leading cause of blindness,demands early detection for effective *** Ai-based diagnostic systems are gaining traction,their performance is often limited by challenges such as varying image backgrounds,pixel intensity inconsistencies,and object size *** address these limitations,we introduce an innovative,nature-inspired machine learning framework combining feature excitation-based dense segmentation networks(FEDS-Net)and an enhanced gray wolf optimization-supported support vectormachine(iGWO-SVM).This dual-stage approach begins with FEDS-Net,which utilizes a fuzzy integral(Fi)technique to accurately segment the optic cup(OC)and optic disk(OD)from retinal images,even in the presence of uncertainty and *** the second stage,the iGWO-SVM model optimizes the SVM classification process,leveraging a gray wolf-inspired optimization strategy to fine-tune the kernel function for superior *** testing on three benchmark glaucoma image databases DRiONS-DB,Drishti-GS,and Rim-One-r3 demonstrates the efficacy of our method,achieving classification accuracies of 97.65%,94.88%,and 93.2%,*** results surpass existing state-of-the-art techniques,offering a promising solution for reliable and early glaucoma detection.

The human brain's intricate functions are under-pinned by a vast network of synapses that enable chemical impulses between neurons. Neuroscientists employ two key approaches, functional and effective connectivity, to understand the brain's complexity, focusing on its operations, cognition, and behavior. While both methods utilize graph theory for network analysis, functional connectivity, which investigates associated brain activity, has seen more substantial research efforts than effective connectivity, which examines information processing's inter-regional impacts. in this research paper, we aim to present an extensive examination of the emerging discipline that combines graph theory with the analysis of brain characteristics, shedding light on how these characteristics arise from the interactions among different groups of neurons. Our primary focus lies in exploring the diverse cognitive and neurological applications that leverage functional Magnetic Resonance imaging (fMRi) as a tool. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive overview of the methods employed to construct brain networks based on functional and efficient connections. Throughout the discussion, we emphasize the advantages and limitations associated with these approaches. © 2023 iEEE.
