Since its breakout, the coronavirus (covid-19) has wreaked devastation all over the world. There hasn't been a nation that hasn't been affected by it, and India is no exception. Finding a treatment for this sickness and stopping its spread is one of the hardest problems humanities has ever faced. World Health organization (WHO) figures show that the mortality rate and the number of people with covid-19 are both increased exponentially in some countries during the peak waves. In this study, we use machine learning approaches to forecast the number of covid-19 confirmations, recoveries, and mortality cases over a period of time and assess the coronavirus outbreak in India. The polynomial regression (PR), support vector regression (SVR), and an autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model are three techniques that are used. The findings demonstrate that, in terms of prediction outcomes, the ARIMA model provides the least Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE), closely followed by polynomial regression. SVR doesn't perform well since predictions are either too low or too high. Overall, the proposed system can significantly aid in comprehending the pattern of spread in other nations and assist governmental bodies in taking action to lessen its effects in future. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurate classification of eye state using Electroencephalogram (EEG) data reflects the high dimensionality and intricacy associated with the nature of the EEG signals. This state-of-the-art technique applies Discrete Cosine Transformation (DCT) for feature extraction, Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA) for optimal feature selection followed by a robust stacking algorithm integrating Adaptive Gradient Boosting Classifier (A-GBC) and k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN) with Logistic Regression as meta-learner to improve the predictive accuracy and model performance. This model would strengthen the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of eye state classification. DCT is used to compress the time series data into frequency domain for feature extraction, resulting in concentrating a vast amount of superficial signal energy. The next stage uses the Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA) in the selection of the optimal features. It thus optimizes the feature sub- set of the input in-order to get an optimal learning rate. The combination of these processes with a stacked ensemble using Adaptive Gradient Boosting Classifier (A-GBC) & k-Nearest Neighbors (k-NN) basal learners results in an immediate classification following the path of a Logistic Regression meta learner that achieves a remarkable classification accuracy of 96.96%. This strongly emphasizes the exceptional efficiency of the proposed framework when placed in context with existing approaches. It implies that the research not only reinforces the existing state of EEG eye state categorization but also provides for the optimization of its utility in other types of biomedical signal processing, thereby making it an example of a versatile medical tool. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

Lung diseases, encompassing a wide spectrum from chronic conditions to acute infections, present a significant burden on global healthcare systems, necessitating precise and timely diagnostic methodologies. In this study, we propose a pioneering approach leveraging multimodal data fusion and deep learning Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithms for enhanced identification of lung diseases. Our methodology integrates diverse data sources including medical images, clinical reports, and patient demographics to capture a comprehensive representation of lung pathology. We employ a state-of-the-art CNN architecture for medical image analysis, trained on a large-scale dataset encompassing various lung diseases and healthy lung tissue. Through extensive experimentation and validation, the approach achieved remarkable performance, with an accuracy of 94%, sensitivity of 92%, specificity of 93%, and an F1-score of 93% in accurately identifying and classifying lung abnormalities. Furthermore, we demonstrate the clinical utility of our method in providing valuable insights to healthcare professionals, aiding in timely diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment planning. Our findings highlight the potential of multimodal data fusion coupled with deep learning CNN algorithms in advancing the field of lung disease identification, offering a promising avenue for improving healthcare practices and patient outcomes in respiratory medicine. © 2024 IEEE.

Brain tumor detection and segmentation from multi-parametric magnetic resonance (MR) scans are crucial for the prognosis and treatment planning of brain tumor patients in current clinical practice. With recent technological advancements, artificial intelligence-based deep learning has proven its indispensable image analysis capability in the most challenging tasks. This study proposes an automated WU-Net + + deep learning model for brain tumor segmentation using multiparametric structural MR scans obtained from the BraTS 2018 dataset. The model was validated through cross-dataset testing for intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) classification (ATLAS V2.1 dataset) and multi-organ segmentation from abdominal images of TCIA and BTCV datasets. The WU-Net++ model, a novel version of U-Net, was developed by adjusting its pooling operation as a weighted function of max and average pooling for brain tumor segmentation. The proposed model (WU-Net + +) achieved an F1 score of 0.94 ± 0.124, a dice score of 0.91 ± 0.132, and an AUC value of 0.915 for whole tumor segmentation. The model also achieved a high accuracy of 0.9949 ± 0.121 in ICH classification and dice scores of 0.912 ± 0.21, 0.844 ± 0.25, and 0.893 ± 0.17 for spleen, esophagus, and portal and splenic vein segmentation, respectively. Our study revealed that WU-Net + + has significant potential to improve the accuracy of segmentation and could be an effective method in the era of precision medicine. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Forecasting companies' stock market prices are one the interesting topics for analysts and researchers. Although a company's stock price can be unpredictable, long-term forecasts can help but it is dependent on many factors such as the company's business model, change in leadership, and investors' mood. It has been found to be insufficient to predict stock values just on the basis of historical data or textual information. Previous research in sentiment analysis have shown a strong correlation between the movement of stock prices and the publication of news stories. At different levels, a number of sentiment analysis research have been attempted utilizing methods. In this paper, we made a comparison of various Machine Learning methods on five datasets of financial news related to the company and domains in which the company. Encouraging results are obtained using 13 models i.e., Linear Regression, Ridge Regression, Lasso Regression, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, Logistic Regression, LSTM, ARIMA, Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Decision Tree, Boosted Tree, and ensemble method which depict polarity of news articles being positive or negative and the accuracies are 93.90%, 92.31 %, 92.27%, 85.44%, 84.65%, 84.65%, 94.73%, 90.13%, 82%, 83%, 72%, 70%, 95.11 % respectively. © 2023 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has made it possible for health institutions to have remote diagnosis, reliable, preventive, and real-time decision-making. However, the anonymity and privacy of patients are not considered in IoT. Therefore, this article proposes a blockchain-based anonymous system, known as GarliMediChain, for providing anonymity and privacy during COVID-19 information sharing. In GarliMediChain, garlic routing and blockchain are integrated to provide low-latency communication, privacy, anonymity, trust, and security. Also, COVID-19 information is encrypted multiple times before transmitting to a series of nodes in the network. To ensure that COVID-19 information is successfully shared, a blockchain-based coalition system is proposed. The coalition system enables health institutions to share information while maximizing their payoffs. In addition, each institution uses the proposed fictitious play to study the strategies of others in order to update its belief by selecting the best responses from them. Furthermore, simulation results show that the proposed system is resistant to security-related attacks and is robust, efficient, and adaptive. From the results, the proposed proof-of-epidemiology-of-interest consensus protocol has 15.93% less computational cost than 26.30% of proof-of-work and 57.77% proof-of-authority consensus protocol, respectively. Nonetheless, the proposed GarliMediChain system promotes global collaborations by combining existing anonymity and trust solutions with the support of blockchain technology. © 2007-2012 IEEE.

This paper presents a cutting-edge data mining approach to investigate user trust in decentralized applications (dApps) on public blockchains. Our innovative data analysis methodology enables a comprehensive exploration of dApp user behaviors, uncovering crucial insights. Contrary to popular belief, large-scale hacking incidents on centralized exchanges (CEX) have a limited impact on decentralized exchange (DEX) migration and inactive user rates. Additionally, our results reveal a notable trend of increased user outflow in older dApp protocols compared to their newer counterparts and emphasize the significant role of government regulations on DEX user inactivity. This research advances the understanding of dApp scalability and user trust, laying the groundwork for future inquiries in this rapidly evolving field. © 2023 IEEE.
