Metamorphic testing is a testing method for problems without test oracles. Integration testing allows for detecting errors in complex systems that may not be found during the testing of their components. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that applies metamorphic testing in integration testing. The main idea is to develop a composite metamorphic relation for the system represented as an acyclic graph. This relation is a logical function of metamorphic relations for the parts of the system (vertices of the graph). It takes into account the features of the parts. Also, it can simplify the search for failure by identifying the subsystem with error. In this paper's theoretical part, we describe an algorithm of relation design. Then, we apply our method to a bioinformatics system for comparative genetic analysis of tissues using production tools. This experiment proves our method can be applied to real-life pipelines and find errors in them. © 2022 ACM.

Deep learning algorithms have made considerable strides in recent years, and these advancements have the potential to significantly improve multi-organ segmentation in three-dimensional biomedical images. This would result in improved diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in medical imaging. DA-TransUNet is an innovative architecture that successfully combines information on several scales and enhances feature extraction by utilizing the DA-Block encoder and the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM). The assessed propsoed model using a variety of datasets, one of which being the LiTS dataset. Finally, were able to achieve a Dice coefficient of 92.56% and a Hausdorff Distance (HD95) of 28.09 mm for liver images. DA-TransUNet surpasses existing state-of-the-art segmentation models across a variety of medical imaging datasets, as demonstrated by the results of the experiments, which reveal considerable increases in accuracy and robustness. The discoveries that have obtained contribute to the advancement of automated segmentation approaches in medical imaging, which in turn facilitates increased diagnostic capabilities. © 2024 IEEE.

Non-volatile memories (NVMs) have become a staple of architectural research. NVMs naturally enable techniques such as crash consistency; persistent snapshots, logs, and heaps; security-enhanced memories; and even near- or in-memory processing. However, all current NVM technologies suffer from limited write endurance. Monolithic 3D integration (M3D), an NVM-enabled, near-memory technique, drastically increases compute-to-memory connectivity, improving the energy-delay product (EDP), especially for data-intensive workloads. However, M3D systems have another constraint: scaling M3D memory capacity adds multiple compute-plus-memory chips in a NUMA arrangement. In response, we first develop a lifetime extension mechanism for endurance-limited memories (ELMs) that extends chip lifetime from mere minutes to several years. Our page-based scheme minimizes execution disruption. Second, we extend our single-chip scheme to multiple M3D chips. We show that NUMA policies for DRAM systems are ill-suited for M3D because they either incur too many costly off-chip accesses or sacrifice lifetime. Our technique preserves NUMA locality benefits while significantly improving overall system lifetime. For homogeneous multi-threaded workloads running across multiple NUMA nodes (chips), our multi-chip scheme increases lifetime over our single-chip scheme by a geometric mean of 48%. For a heterogeneous mixture of workloads running on a multi-monolithic-chip cluster, we increase cluster lifetime by a factor of 4.7 ×, bounded by a 6% energy and 6% runtime overhead (commonly with no runtime overhead at all).

Crimes against children are a direct threat to the world of tomorrow. The future of the world is in the hands of children who are the real wealth of mankind. The challenge for society is to address and handle challenges against children such as sexual abuse, trafficking, child labour, and harassment. Even though measures are taken by several governments globally, violence against children is an evident day-to-day process. This becomes the most challenging issue in the post-Internet era, where organized crime against children takes place around the world through a targeted group of people through virtual private networks and the dark web. What comes next is the emergence of social media, which provides an opportunity for these criminals to harm children globally through powerful social networks [15]. The existing methods focus on classifiers that do not work across multiple keywords [6] to look for sentiment analysis regarding a single classifier. There are only a few works that address the issue and these methods do not employ the multi-classification model [2]. In this paper, we propose a model which includes the Twitter API, the APIFY web scraper framework, as well as the VADER semantic analyzer in Python which possesses Decision tree analysis of sentiment prediction. The proposed work provides 99.6904% accuracy and predicts the classification of sentiment analysis. Our work has novelty in attribute selection, child trade, and violence analysis in social media and prediction of classification accuracy using the Decision Tree algorithm. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

This paper presents a new computational framework for the co-optimization and co-control of morphable surface structures using topology optimization and circle-packing algorithms. The proposed approach integrates the design of optimized compliant components and the system-level control of the overall surface morphology. By representing the surface shape using circle packing and leveraging conformal mapping, the framework enables smooth deformation between 2D and 3D shapes while maintaining local geometry and global morphology. The morphing surface design problem is recast as designing circular compliant actuators using level-set topology optimization with displacements and stiffness objectives. The optimized component designs are then mapped back onto the circle packing representation for coordinated control of the surface morphology. This integrated approach ensures compatibility between local and global geometries and enables efficient actuation of the morphable surface. The effectiveness of the proposed framework is demonstrated through numerical examples and physical prototypes, showcasing its ability to design and control complex morphable surfaces with applications in various fields. The co-optimization and co-control capabilities of the framework are verified, highlighting its potential for realizing advanced morphable structures with optimized geometries and coordinated actuation. This integrated approach goes beyond conventional methods by considering both local component geometry and global system morphology and enabling coordinated control of the morphable surface. The general nature of our approach makes it applicable to a wide range of problems involving the design and control of morphable structures with complex, adaptive geometries. Recognition of human activities using wearable sensors is essential for applications related to health and well-being. However, the complex data captured by inertial sensors poses challenges in accurately identifying actions. This research introduces MotionNeXt, a residual deep neural network incorporating aggregated transformation. MotionNeXt utilizes residual and multi-kernel blocks to extract spatial and temporal characteristics from raw IMU data. Subsequently, it employs global average pooling, a fully connected layer, and softmax for classification purposes. An attention layer enables the model to focus on specific segments of the input sequence while categorizing each time step. MotionNeXt is evaluated using a publicly available dataset of activities collected from wearable inertial measurement devices. It achieves state-of-the-art accuracy, boasting an F1-score of 99.37%, surpassing previous deep learning methods by 2- 5%. By integrating accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer modalities, MotionNeXt mitigates the limitations of individual inputs, significantly improving accuracy across various models. © 2024 IEEE.

Short message spam poses a significant threat for all mobile phone users, as it can act as an efficient tool for cyberattacks including spreading malware and phishing. Traditional anti-spam measures are only minimally effective against modern spammers. Intelligent analysis of the content to categorise the messages as Spam (unwanted and unsolicited) or Ham (useful messages) is therefore essential to safeguard the user from such attacks. Various artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are proving to be useful in the analysis of the content of such short messages to classify and filter spam. We have trained, validated and tested seven such AI techniques on the SMS spam collection dataset to identify the best model for designing and developing a content based classification system. Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) have shown the highest performance metrics (Test Accuracy: 99.28%) and hence our proposed system includes a RNN model for classification. A web app of this system has also been deployed where a single SMS can be input and the designed system can classify it as Spam or Ham. The designed system is compared against existing systems and is found to be significantly better.

Traditional control methods may struggle to adapt to the nonlinear and uncertain characteristics in Autonomous Vehicle Control. In recent years, fuzzy control techniques, such as the Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy controller, have emerged as promising approaches for handling such complexities. Fuzzy controllers utilize linguistic variables and fuzzy logic to model system behavior, offering flexibility and robustness in dealing with uncertainties. Furthermore, Lyapunov function analysis provides a powerful tool for assessing the stability of dynamical systems. By employing Lyapunov functions, researchers can mathematically prove the stability of a system and derive stability criteria, contributing to a deeper understanding of system behavior. This paper investigates the enhancement of stability in control systems by employing Fuzzy Gain Scheduling combined with Lyapunov function analysis. Stability is a crucial aspect of control systems, ensuring their reliable and efficient operation in various dynamic environments. Traditional control techniques often struggle to handle the nonlinear and uncertain nature of modern systems. FGS offers a flexible and adaptive approach to control by adjusting controller gains based on system operating conditions. Additionally, Lyapunov function analysis provides a rigorous mathematical framework for stability assessment, enabling the verification of system stability properties. By integrating FGS and Lyapunov function analysis, this research aims to develop a robust control strategy capable of ensuring stability across a range of operating conditions. Simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in enhancing stability and performance in control systems. Specifically, the settling time was reduced by 20%, and overshoot was minimized to 5% of the steady-state value. CAPE: Commitment-based Privacy-Preserving Payment Channel Scheme in Blockchain

Ensuring scalability in cryptocurrency systems is significant in guaranteeing real-world utility along with the remarkable increment of cryptographic currency. As an alternative in solving scalability issue, payment channel allows users to deliver extensive offline transactions without uploading massive transaction details to the blockchain, such that increasing efficiency can be achieved. However, the implementation of payment channel still encounters privacy concerns when considering the publicly available transaction amounts and the potentials in mining associations between transaction parties. In this paper, we propose a novel payment channel scheme, entitled Commitment-based Anonymous Payment ChannEl (CAPE), to facilitate unlimited off-chain bidirectional payments while guaranteeing participants’ privacy. The proposed scheme adopts zero-knowledge proof (zk-SNARKs) and verifiable timed (VTD) commitments to ensure the anonymity of the relationship between on-chain and off-chain transactions, privacy of transaction amounts, and security of balances. We comprehensively formalize security definitions and present rigorous proofs for each security attribute. Experiment results further demonstrate the practical viability of CAPE. © 2025 IEEE.
