Speech-based Interaction systems contribute to the growing class of contemporary interactive techniques (Human-computer Interactive system), which have emerged quickly in the last few years. Versatility, multi-channel synchronization, sensitivity, and timing are all notable characteristics of speech recognition. In addition, several variables influence the precision of voice interaction recognition. However, few researchers have done a significant study on the five eco-condition variables that tend to affect speech recognition rate (SRR): ambient noise, human noise, utterance speed, and frequency. The principal strategic goal of this research is to analyze the influence of the four variables mentioned earlier on SRR, and it includes many stages of experimentation on mixed noise speech data. The sparse representation-based analyzing technique is utilized to analyze the effects. Speech recognition is not noticeably affected by a person's usual speaking pace. As a result, high-frequency voice signals are more easily recognized (∼98.12%) than low-frequency speech signals in noisy environments. By performing the experiments, the test results may help design the distributive controlling and commanding systems. © 2022 River Publishers.

Depression and its symptoms are very common disorders of mental health. They affect the day-to-day activity of the person and degrade the quality of life. The article presents the comparative study of different deep learning models on natural language processing data for detection of depression using textual data. Several studies have been performed for depression detection using artificial intelligence and deep learning state of the art methods. This article investigates the state-of-the-art models and perform hyperparameter tuning for best accuracy results and develop our own hybrid model for detection of depression with improved accuracy scores. The aim of our study is to research and compare the existing findings in deep learning and machine learning models for depression detection and build a precise hybrid model for depression detection with higher accuracy and scores.

The development of highly accurate models is essential for optimizing the performance and efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) modules, which are integral to renewable energy systems. In this context, metaheuristic algorithms have become indispensable tools for tackling complex engineering challenges, particularly in the areas of evaluation, simulation, and parameter estimation. These algorithms excel at finding optimal or near-optimal solutions for problems where traditional methods may struggle due to their complexity or computational intensity. This article presents a novel framework for estimating the parameters of PV modules using the Wild Horse Optimizer (WHO), a recently introduced metaheuristic algorithm known for its robustness and efficiency. Specifically, the framework is applied to the Double Diode Model (DDM) of a solar cell, a widely recognized model for representing the electrical behavior of PV modules. The simulation results clearly illustrate that the proposed framework based on WHO algorithm offers significant improvements in the accuracy and effectiveness of parameter estimation for PV modules, compared to Artificial Bee Swarm Optimization (ABSO), the Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA), and several others, thereby validating the proposed approach.

This work deals with a possible model of a cell of cognitive radio architectures via a multi-server queueing system with two different types of requests and preemptive priority of one type of requests on the other. Service demands arrive according to Markovian Arrival Processes in order to capture traffic correlation. Cognitive engine tries to find a solution or optimize a performance goal based on the received inputs that define the radio’s current internal state and operating environment. Hence, beside priority mechanisms, a possible deactivation of information to transmit is considered via a hysteresis type strategy for the access to the service, with the aim of smoothing the effects of service interruptions for low priority requests. Fixed values for the thresholds of the strategy are assumed. The system is statistically described by a level-dependent multi-dimensional Markov chain, which allows the computation of stationary probabilities and robust performance indices. Numerical results are presented to compare the system performances in the case of uncorrelated flows and flows with different correlation levels. © 2020 The Authors.

Students’ day-to-day activities can be influenced by internal and external factors that can cause academic turbulence. These factors vehemently impart to the setback of bad scholastic performance in an academic arena that is escalating among pupils of one of the Nigerian universities namely, KUST. The current paper is an extension and analysis of such a problem categorized as a contagious disease. The extension of the model is from a fractional viewpoint characterizing how this difficulty is escalated in the KUST campus. The new extensions of the model are in the sense of Caputo, Caputo–Fabrizio–Caputo and the Atangana–Baleanu–Caputo and the dimensionality for the parameters has been utilized. To this aim, the existence and uniqueness of the solutions of the model under consideration are proved by using the fixed point theory. Furthermore, we have also analyzed the positivity and boundedness of the solution for the proposed scholastic model with the Caputo differential operator. The fractional scholastic models unveil the persistence of the turbulence in the campus that can be predicted through the reproduction numbers. We also applied optimal control strategies to the proposed fractional model. The analysis shows that the positive change of behavior towards academic failure (u₁) and proper orientation (u₂) are effective measures in minimizing the problem in the compartments of below-average and weak students. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature India Private Limited.

The paper presents an overview of the third edition of the shared task on multilingual coreference resolution, held as part of the CRAC 2024 workshop. Similarly to the previous two editions, the participants were challenged to develop systems capable of identifying mentions and clustering them based on identity coreference. This year's edition took another step towards real-world application by not providing participants with gold slots for zero anaphora, increasing the task's complexity and realism. In addition, the shared task was expanded to include a more diverse set of languages, with a particular focus on historical languages. The training and evaluation data were drawn from version 1.2 of the multilingual collection of harmonized coreference resources CorefUD, encompassing 21 datasets across 15 languages. 6 systems competed in this shared task. Since the inception of secure communication, safeguarding data confidentiality has been paramount. With the increased reliance on technology, the need for robust security mechanisms is more critical than ever. This paper explores confidentiality in cybersecurity, focusing on symmetric encryption algorithms. While symmetric encryption, particularly the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), is in wide use, concerns arise regarding its static nature. Therefore, the paper introduces a dynamic cipher, augmenting AES security by introducing a key-dependent S-Box. By leveraging the RC4 key schedule, the proposed cipher generates unique S-Boxes for each encryption key, significantly increasing security against non-generic attacks. Theoretical analysis demonstrates the proposed cipher is capable of resisting brute force, linear cryptanalysis, and differential cryptanalysis. Furthermore, its adaptability to existing AES implementations ensures practicality and ease of adoption. © 2024 IEEE.

Additive manufacturing is a revolutionary method that relieves industries from the geometrical restrictions of their products. In this area, the Selective thermoplastic electrophotographic process (STEP) is a breakthrough approach that can obtain fast and highvolume production. Despite the STEP's excellent characteristics and achievements, the final products present dimensional defects which significantly impact their mechanical qualities. This study presents a prediction model of deformation behaviour by a finite element-based thermo-mechanical model. Additionally, a dimensional study was conducted on various STEP manufactures products. The work presents an analysis of the results of the dimensional measurements, highlighting the position of the products on the building plate. The dimensional evaluation of the STEP's products supports the thermo-mechanical model results. © 2023 Euspen Headquarters.

The demand for wireless connections is rising, and the advent of mobile internet has sparked a hunt for fresh, creative ways to expand the capacity and reach of cellular networks. One strategy to provide ground mobile users with long-term communication coverage is to employ Unmanned Aerial vehicles (UAV) as mobile base stations. The proposed method incorporates a Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) method to address the challenges that persist with traditional approaches. We introduced Deep Q-Learning with an attention mechanism-based multi-agent model to develop an energy-efficient control system for UAVs in cellular networks. Due to the proposed strategy’s dynamic nature, it efficiently handles the crowded environment by resolving scalability and mobility issues. The researchers evaluated the proposed model using the benchmark dataset, producing promising results. Further, the researchers tested the proposed model using the sum rate metric to analyze the capability of the proposed algorithm to provide a reasonable throughput rate.

We show that in any digraph on an underlying connected graph with non-negative weights on its edges, there is a Majority Spanning Tree for which sum of weights of edges of a fundamental cutset, running along each edge of the spanning tree determining the cutset, is not less than sum of those running in opposite direction. Similarly, there is a Majority Cotree, each fundamental cycle of which has non-negative weight. We further prove simultaneous existence of majority spanning trees and majority cotrees in any non-negative weighted digraph. We have shown how these structures can be used to solved scheduling transports by minimizing sum of weighted connection times, ranking round-robin tournaments by minimizing number of upsets, in settling multiple debts and in construction of transport networks with unbalanced road capacity. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
