The NIM has been established a radiation thermometer with center wavelength 1.6 μm, measurement range from 200°C to 1085°C. This paper introduces the measurement principle, structure and calibration method of Sakuma method. The repeatability at Al fixed point is 0.14°C. The size of source effect is 0.11% from the diameter of the source from 5mm to 50 mm. The uncertainty of the radiation thermometer is 0.4°C at 200°C, bellowing 0.3°C at Zn fixed point, Al fixed point and Cu fixed point.

A position error control method for formation flight based on dynamic inversion is provided according to the position error between the wing plane and its correct position in formation. An implementing program of position control system based on dynamic inversion for formation flight is suggested. In order to evaluate the validity of the method, many cases are simulated that the wing plane follows the leader plane when the leader plane speed up, climb up and turn. The computer simulation results indicate that the position error can be reduced in an allowable range of formation flight by this control method, so the formation configuration can be kept.

Many chaotic time series show non-Gaussian distribution, and non-Gaussianity can be characterized not only by higher-order cumulants but also by negative entropy. Since negative entropy can be accurately approximated by some special non-polynomial functions, which also can form an orthogonal system, these functions are used to construct an adaptive predictor to replace higher-order cumulants. Simulation shows the algorithm performs well for different chaotic systems.

The stochastic resonance (SR) in a time-delayed mono-stable system driven by multiplicative white noise, additive white noise, additive dichotomous noise as well as a periodic square-wave signal is considered from the view of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). It is found that the SNR increases monotonically with the increase of the delay time. The SNR exhibits the SR behavior when it is plotted as a function of intensities of the noises, displaying the asymmetry of the dichotomous noise. The SNR varies non-monotonically with the increase of the system parameter and the amplitude of the input square-wave signal.

We adapted Russo's image noise filtering technique by introducing an adaptive parameter, noise possibility. This parameter potentially indicates whether a pixel is noise. The improved Russo's method was applied to process the Lena image and a remote sensing image corrupted by noise. The results show that it has a stronger noise filtering ability than other traditional techniques such as Wiener filtering.

A set of novel nonlinear variable structure excitation and steam-valving controllers are proposed in this paper. On the basis of the classical dynamic equations of a generator, excitation control and steam valving control are simultaneously considered. Design of these controllers combines the differential geometry theory with the variable structure controlling theory. The mathematical model in the form of "an affine nonlinear system" is set up for the control design of a large-scale power plant. The dynamic performance of the nonlinear variable structure controllers proposed for a single machine connected to an infinite bus power system is simulated. Simulation results show that the nonlinear variable structure excitation and steam-valving controllers give satisfactory dynamic performance and good robustness.
