This paper studies the distributed path-following time-varying formation control problem for a fleet of under-actuated unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) with collision avoidance and connectivity preservation. A finite-time-prescribed performance-based (FTPP) formation control scheme is proposed based on the error transformation. To provide transient and steady-state performance specifications on velocity errors, including convergence time and range, a finite-time performance function (FTPF) is introduced in the control design. Radial basis function neural network (RBF) is utilized to compensate the effects of uncertain dynamics in USVs. Finally, by Lyapunov stability analysis, it is shown that all error signals of the closed-loop system are uniformly ultimately bounded. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed formation control scheme. © 2024 IEEE.

This review aims to provide a comprehensive literature overview of the field of fault diagnosis in high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems. The goal is to summarize and analyze the current state, trends, and key issues in this area. A retrospective examination of the developmental history reveals significant progress in technical innovations related to fault diagnosis in HVDC transmission systems. Additionally, emerging technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence have been introduced, carrying significant implications for the advancement of fault diagnosis in these systems. The paper discusses and elucidates various fault diagnosis methods proposed for HVDC transmission systems, outlining the specific implementation principles and advantages of each approach.

The energy response of the NaI(TI) scintillation detector has been experimentally investigated by a single-crystal monochromatic X-rays beam facility, a double-crystal monochromatic X-rays beam facility and a calibrated HPGe standard detector. The experimental results show that the NaI detector has great energy linearity in the (22-80)keV energy range and the energy resolution better than 26.13%@22keV. These results will contribute to the scientific research and detection work of NaI detector. © 2022 IET Conference Proceedings. All rights reserved.

Wall climbing robots, also known as wall moving robots, are also known abroad as extreme work robots because vertical wall work is beyond human limits. Despite its superior performance, there has been little research on the subject. This paper introduces a vacuum adsorption structure for a one-footed multi-suction wall climbing robot and establishes a one-footed multi-suction model. Using a four-legged wall crawler as a carrier, the basic conditions to be met by this structure are analysed for both the three-legged and four-legged suction states of the wall crawler. The feasibility of attaching the robot to the structure to move on a vertical wall is verified. The deformation of the body is simulated by ansys for the two adsorption states with load forces ranging from 500N to 700N to verify the feasibility of the structure and to derive a range of feasibility. © 2022 SPIE.

This brief tackles the finite-time consensus and distributed optimization issues in multi-agent systems (MASs) affected by time-varying delays (TDs). It centers on scenarios where the agents' communication network topology is characterized by a switching undirected graph. Distributed time-varying optimization involves a collective effort by multiple agents to collaboratively minimize the aggregate of local objective functions that change over time. This process is subject to time-dependent equality constraints and relies solely on information available at the local level and from neighboring agents. First, a finite-time multi-parameter smooth distributed algorithm with input TDs is proposed to solve the optimization problem of MASs with arbitrary switching topologies. Secondly, combined with the Lyapunov stability theory, the states of each agent can achieve consensus and asymptotically track the optimal solution trajectory within a finite-time is proved. At last, an illustrative simulation example of target tracking with MASs is given to verify the effectiveness and applicability of the theoretical results. © 2024 IEEE.

This brief addresses the adaptive fixed-time system control problem subject to unknown nonlinear functions. By employing backstepping technique, fixed-time control, and neural networks (NNs), an adaptive fixed-time control approach is developed. NNs are utilized to package the unknown nonlinearities in the controlled system. The hyperbolic tangent functions are firstly utilized to solve the singular problem, which may exist in the derivation of virtual controller. Meanwhile, the jitter phenomenon is avoided. The developed controller design scheme not only assures the signals' boundedness within fixed-time interval, but also makes the tracking error converge. Finally, on the aid of the simulation results, the effective of the designed control technique is shown. © 2024 IEEE.

X-ray-induced acoustic computed tomography (XACT) imaging is an emerging noninvasive imaging technique with wide applications in various clinical medicine fields. However, traditional XACT imaging methods often suffer from low imaging quality and increased noise artifacts, particularly notable under sparse sampling conditions. To overcome these challenges, we propose a hybrid supervised reconstruction method based on deep learning. Specifically, we extract and integrate information from XACT thermoacoustic signals and XACT images reconstructed by traditional methods to leverage complementary feature information from both modalities. To adapt to imaging under sparse sampling, we define multiple sparse conditions based on real-world imaging environments and validate them using a real radiotherapy dataset of head and neck cancer patients. The results demonstrate the adaptability of our method to sparse conditions and its capability to enhance XACT imaging quality under such circumstances. Additionally, we validate the feasibility of X-ray thermoacoustic imaging for 3D dose monitoring. © 2024 IEEE.

In this article, we examine a high-precision leakage current measurement system with a semiconductor detector and automatic range switching. The system consist of two main modules: the leakage current measurement module and the control and display module. The leakage current measurement module is based on the transresistance amplifier principle and builds an I-V conversion circuit. A large measuring range from nA to pA is achieved through range switching via a relay-controlled mechanism. The control and display module has an automatic range switching algorithm developed using the STM32 microprocessor. This algorithm accurately measures the leakage current of the semiconductor detector by controlling the relay via the GPIO port. In addition, a detector detection platform is set up to judge whether the detector has been damaged based on the measured leakage current data. The system designed in this paper can measure leakage currents ranging from 1 pA to 2000 nA with a margin of error of less than 0.32%. Its performance has been successfully validated with a variety of detectors.

The large-scale distributed PV access to the distribution network will lead to normal and non-normalised risks in the distribution network, including node voltage overruns, transformer reverse heavy overloads, power quality degradation, etc., so the carrying capacity of the distribution network for distributed PV is limited. The purpose of this paper is to study the carrying capacity of distribution grid for distributed PV and optimization methods. Firstly, considering the uncertainty brought by the large-scale access of high proportion of distributed PV to the distribution network and the correlation between PV output and load, the carrying capacity of distributed PV to the distribution network is analyzed from five aspects, namely, return current, thermal stability, short-circuit current, voltage deviation, and harmonics; and then the optimization methods for the carrying capacity of distributed PV to the distribution network are considered from the source, network, load, and storage.
