Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have achieved remarkable success in a wide range of fields, becoming one of the most widely used and powerful techniques in computer vision. Given that the model structure and convolutional operations of convolutional neural networks are significantly highly parallel, accelerating CNNs using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) has become an important solution to this problem. In this paper, we propose an integrated hardware accelerator architecture based on YOLOv3-tiny (You Only Look Once version 3 tiny) with low latency and high computational efficiency. The accelerator is designed in a parallel way with input partially parallel, full parallelism between convolutional cores, partial parallelism within cores, and output partially parallelism, and utilises a dynamically configured matrix generator to complete the matrix transformation of the Generalised Matrix Multiplication (GEMM) algorithm. In order to optimise the accelerator further: firstly, we improve the original YOLOv3-tiny algorithm by adopting INT8 precision in order to increase the parallelism and reduce the memory space and bandwidth requirements. Secondly, we propose a way to map two INT8 multiplications at a time into the DSP (Digital Signal Processing), which improves the utilisation of the DSP by a factor of 2.25 for low-precision operations. As well as adding a new REQ layer to maintain INT8 while keeping the precision. Based on the experimental results, our proposed accelerator is able to achieve 42ms latency and 120 GOPS data throughput, which outperforms most of the research proposals in terms of comprehensive performance. We operated a p-type point contact high purity germanium(PPCGe)detector(CDEX-1B,1.008 kg)in the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL)for 500.3 days to search for neutrinoless double beta(0νββ)decay of ^(76)Ge.A total of 504.3 kg⋅day effective exposure data was *** anti-coincidence and the multi/single-site event(MSE/SSE)discrimination methods were used to suppress the background in the energy region of interest(ROI,1989–2089 keV for this work)with a factor of 23.A background level of 0.33 counts/(keV⋅kg⋅yr)was *** lower limit on the half life of^(76)Ge 0νββdecay was constrained as T_(1/2)^(0ν)>1.0×10^(23)yr(90%C.L.),corresponding to the upper limits on the effective Majorana neutrino mass:<3.2–7.5 eV.

This paper presents a novel direct-drive electric traction system that incorporates a disk permanent magnet (PM) motor, which shows practical potential to urban rail trains. The disk PM motor can be directly mounted on the train wheel, which realizes the direct contact of power and load. First, conceptual structure of the direct-drive system is described. Then, the motor structure and its specifications are presented from the viewpoint of replacing the asynchronous motor of the existing ALSTOM 04A02 urban rail system. Machine parameters are calculated and 3-D finite element (3-D FEM) simulation is carried out to analyze magnetic field distribution. Design results demonstrate that the disk PM motor has distinguished advantages in power density and efficiency over the asynchronous motor in use, which would be more suitable for heavy-load rail trains. At last, the influence of harmonic current from the inverter on the harmonic torque of the disk PM motor is studied, and results demonstrate that the 6 th harmonic torque is the main factor affecting the torque ripple and could be suppressed by further optimizing the machine parameters. This work can provide some reference for improving the train traction system, and has reference values to other electric traction systems.

Cancer, a global health threat, demands effective diagnostic solutions to combat its impact on public health, particularly for breast, colon, and lung cancers. Early and accurate diagnosis is essential for successful treatment, prompting the rise of Computer-Aided Diagnosis Systems as reliable and cost-effective tools. Histopathology, renowned for its precision in cancer imaging, has become pivotal in the diagnostic landscape of breast, colon, and lung cancers. However, while deep learning models have been widely explored in this domain, they often face challenges in generalizing to diverse clinical settings and in efficiently capturing both local and global feature representations, particularly for multi-class tasks. This underscores the need for models that can reduce biases, improve diagnostic accuracy, and minimize error susceptibility in cancer classification tasks. To this end, we introduce ResoMergeNet (RMN), an advanced deep-learning model designed for both multi-class and binary cancer classification using histopathological images of breast, colon, and lung. ResoMergeNet integrates the Resboost mechanism which enhances feature representation, and the ConvmergeNet mechanism which optimizes feature extraction, leading to improved diagnostic accuracy. Comparative evaluations against state-of-the-art models show ResoMergeNet's superior performance. Validated on the LC-25000 and BreakHis (400× and 40× magnifications) datasets, ResoMergeNet demonstrates outstanding performance, achieving perfect scores of 100 % in accuracy, sensitivity, precision, and F1 score for binary classification. For multi-class classification with five classes from the LC25000 dataset, it maintains an impressive 99.96 % across all performance metrics. When applied to the BreakHis dataset, ResoMergeNet achieved 99.87 % accuracy, 99.75 % sensitivity, 99.78 % precision, and 99.77 % F1 score at 400× magnification. At 40× magnification, it still delivered robust results with 98.85 % accuracy,

Fluorescence X-rays have the advantages of good monochromaticity, high flux and stable dose rate. Carried out simulation and experimental studies of fluorescence X-rays in the (4.5 ~ 25.3) KeV energy range. The energy spectra produced by different radiators were simulated using Monte Carlo simulation software to obtain the theoretical spectra. The K β and L fluorescence X-rays were also filtered in the simulation by choosing different materials of secondary filter materials for each radiator. Measurement experiments were carried out using a HPGe detector to obtain experimental spectra. The simulation results match the experimental results, verifying the correctness of the experimental measurements. The fluorescence yield and Kα fluorescence purity of the radiator were calculated, in which the fluorescence yield of Zn reached percent 95.2 and the purity of K α fluorescence of Cd reached percent 82.8. The factors affecting the fluorescence yield experiment are the secondary filter corresponding to the radiator, which can be subsequently optimized in the selection of secondary filter.

The Yellow River is the "mother river" of the Chinese nation. The Yellow River is vital to the economic, social development and ecological environment of the surrounding areas. In recent years, with economic development and the acceleration of urbanization, the water environment and water ecology in the Ningxia section of the Yellow River have been polluted to varying degrees. Therefore, it is urgent to investigate the pollution laws of the water environment of the Yellow River and carry out corresponding treatments. First, we extracted six major pollutant indicators from three aspects, and then we conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the water environment of a certain section of the Yellow River in the past 8 months: The entropy method is used to determine the weight of various pollutants' impact on the water environment, and the comprehensive evaluation index Q of water quality is obtained. Then the Q value of 8 months is compared with the actual data, and then the expected water environment (Type III water) Define the water environment comprehensive evaluation standard index Q_s, combine Q and Q_s to define the degree coefficient h reflecting the degree of water environment quality, and then divide the degree coefficient into intervals according to the principle of equal division, as the index of water environment classification. Finally calculated h=0.0088, according to the water quality grading index, it is concluded that the comprehensive water quality of a certain section of the Yellow River in the past 8 months has been classified as "poor", and it belongs to the very poor level in the "poor" category. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. In the wake of the wide application of distributed energy resources and the rapid development of renewable energy technologies, building energy systems are evolving in the direction of high efficiency, flexibility and sustainability. PEDF buildings are an emerging energy system that combines photovoltaic (PV) power generation, electrical energy storage, direct current (DC) power distribution, and flexible power technology to provide a solution for buildings to efficiently utilize renewable energy and optimize energy consumption. Its core is PV power generation technology, through the installation of photovoltaic panels on the exterior of the building, solar energy can be directly converted into electricity, and this way of utilizing renewable energy not only reduces the reliance on traditional energy sources, but also reduces the adverse effect on the environment. PV power generation systems can meet the electricity demand inside the building and store the excess power for future use. Electric energy storage systems typically use efficient battery technology to store and release electricity, increasing energy efficiency and reliability, and balancing the difference between energy supply and demand to provide a stable output of electricity. PEDF building systems provide a solution for the sustainable development of the building industry by efficiently utilizing renewable energy sources and optimizing energy consumption. This emerging building energy system lays the foundation for us to move towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable future.

The article developed a distributed security control protocol of unmanned ships (USs) with the disturbances. To constraint the tracking errors within a predefined boundary, an infinite-time performance function and a logarithmic Lyapunov function are simultaneously introduced. Using the novel disturbance estimator, the disturbances are estimated. With the aid of the backstepping method, a distributed security controller is obtained and it is given that all the states of the system are bounded in finite time and the tracking errors can also meet preset performance requirements. Eventually, unmanned ships are given to show the utilizability of the obtained protocol. © 2024 IEEE.

Soil acidification poses a substantial threat to agricultural productivity by releasing salt ions, diminishing soil fertility, and increasing susceptibility to aluminum toxicity. The aim of the study was to investigate the potential improvement of acid yellow soil through the combined application of basalt powder, lime, and polyacrylamide (PAM). Herein, 0.1 g mixed basalt powder and CaO with various proportion were added to 10 g acidic yellow soil with an initial pH of 4.16. XRF analysis of basalt powder revealed its effectiveness in supplementing soil mineral nutrients. The optimal results of reduced acidification and ion leaching of soil were obtained when the addition proportion of basalt powder to lime was 8:2 and addition ratio of PAM was 0.0002%. The addition of mixed amendments markedly increased the pH (by up to >2.0 units) and acid-damage capacity (20.3mmol/kg) of soil, meanwhile decreased the leaching of K+(58.1%), Na+(42.9%), Mg2+(26.3%), and Al3+ (below the detectable limit) as shown by the optimal test. The basalt powder undergoes decomposition in the soil solution, resulting in the formation of some weak acids (i.e., H2SiO4), the release of OH-, and an increase in soil pH. The study reveals the underlying mechanisms of soil remediation with mixed amendment, which has potential guidance for the application of mixed soil amendment and the prediction of the environment risks of the contaminated soil. © 2024, The Authors.
