Super-resolution reconstruction of single image for latent features

Single-image super-resolution(SISR)typically focuses on restoring various degraded low-resolution(LR)images to a single high-resolution(HR)***,during SISR tasks,it is often challenging for models to simultaneously maintain high quality and rapid sampling while preserving diversity in details and texture *** challenge can lead to issues such as model collapse,lack of rich details and texture features in the reconstructed HR images,and excessive time consumption for model *** address these problems,this paper proposes a Latent Feature-oriented Diffusion Probability Model(LDDPM).First,we designed a conditional encoder capable of effectively encoding LR images,reducing the solution space for model image reconstruction and thereby improving the quality of the reconstructed *** then employed a normalized flow and multimodal adversarial training,learning from complex multimodal distributions,to model the denoising *** so boosts the generative modeling capabilities within a minimal number of sampling *** comparisons of our proposed model with existing SISR methods on mainstream datasets demonstrate that our model reconstructs more realistic HR images and achieves better performance on multiple evaluation metrics,providing a fresh perspective for tackling SISR tasks.

In this paper, we introduce InternVL 1.5, an open-source multimodal large language model(MLLM) to bridge the capability gap between open-source and proprietary commercial models in multimodal understanding. We introduce three simple improvements.(1) Strong vision encoder: we explored a continuous learning strategy for the large-scale vision foundation model — InternViT-6B, boosting its visual understanding capabilities, and making it can be transferred and reused in different LLMs.(2) Dynamic high-resolution: we divide images into tiles ranging from 1 to 40 of 448×448 pixels according to the aspect ratio and resolution of the input images, which supports up to 4K resolution input.(3) High-quality bilingual dataset: we carefully collected a high-quality bilingual dataset that covers common scenes, document images,and annotated them with English and Chinese question-answer pairs, significantly enhancing performance in optical character recognition(OCR) and Chinese-related tasks. We evaluate InternVL 1.5 through a series of benchmarks and comparative studies. Compared to both open-source and proprietary commercial models, InternVL 1.5 shows competitive performance, achieving state-of-the-art results in 8 of 18 multimodal benchmarks. Named Entity Recognition in Electronic Medical Records Incorporating Pre-trained and Multi-Head Attention

Chinese Named Entity Recognition (NER) for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is a fundamental task in building a digital hospital and is widely considered to be a sequence annotation problem in the Natural Language Processing domain. (NLP). However, existing deep learning sequence annotation models cannot fully use the large amount of unannotated data for Chinese EMRs that contain a vast number of professional unregistered words, named entities, and inter-of-entity relationships carrying rich professional knowledge. Moreover, the syntactic structure of EMR sentences is complex, and the text is long;the features of the EMR documents often cannot be captured deeply. Aiming at these two problems, this paper proposes a deep learning method that combines Multi-Head Attention with a pre-trained language model. (BERT-BiGRU-Att-CRF). The method uses the BERT pre-trained model to obtain dynamic word vectors combined with contextual information, extracts global semantic features through a Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (BiGRU), obtains augmented semantic features by using the Multi-Head Attention. Finally, using Conditional Random Field (CRF) decoding, outputs the globally optimal label sequence with greatest probability. The model is trained using the CCKS2019 Chinese EMR dataset containing six types of entities: anatomical sites, surgeries, diseases and diagnoses, medicines, laboratory tests, and imaging tests, and good results are achieved with an F1 score of 86.97%. © (2024) International Association of Engineers.

Transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative games

In blockchain networks, transactions can be transmitted through channels. The existing transmission methods depend on their routing information. If a node randomly chooses a channel to transmit a transaction, the transmission may be aborted due to insufficient funds(also called balance) or a low transmission rate. To increase the success rate and reduce transmission delay across all transactions, this work proposes a transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative game *** balance, channel states, and transmission probability are fully considered. This work then presents an optimized channel transaction transmission algorithm. First, channel balances are analyzed and suitable channels are selected if their balance is sufficient. Second, a Nash equilibrium point is found by using an iterative sub-gradient method and its related channels are then used to transmit transactions. The proposed method is compared with two state-of-the-art approaches: Silent Whispers and Speedy Murmurs. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves transmission success rate, reduces transmission delay,and effectively decreases transmission overhead in comparison with its two competitive peers.

ViF-SD2E: a robust weakly-supervised framework for neural decoding

Neural decoding plays a vital role in the interaction between the brain and the outside world. Our task in this paper is to decode the movement track of a finger directly based on the neural data. Existing neural decoding solutions primarily perform some preprocessing operations on neural data before feeding them into existing models (such as LSTM) for decoding. However, these solutions either are prone to overfitting or cannot well exploit the spatial and temporal information. In our previous observations, there is a symmetrical phenomenon between the unsupervised decoded trajectory and the ground truth trajectory within the activity space. This precisely motivates us to propose (or derive) a robust weakly-supervised framework (or model structure), called ViF-SD2E, for neural decoding. In particular, it consists of a space-division (SD) module and an exploration–exploitation (2E) strategy, to effectively exploit both the spatial information of the outside world and the temporal information of neural activity, where the SD2E output is analogized with the weak 0/1 vision feedback (ViF) label for training. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, which can sometimes be comparable to supervised counterparts. Therefore, we redirect our attention to the information (hidden in data) ViF-SD2E conveys to us. In other words, we believe that the advantage of ViF-SD2E lies in the fact that its processing steps are objectively determined by the inherent attributes (i.e., symmetry) of the neural data, or rather, the model structure is fixed. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag London Ltd., part of Springer Nature 2025.

Robust copy-move detection and localization of digital audio based CFCC feature

Copy-move forgery is a common audio tampering technique in which users copy the contents of one speech and paste them into another region of the same speech signal, thus achieving the effect of tampering with the semantics. To verify the authenticity of the audio, this paper proposes a method to detect and localize audio copy-move forgery based on the cochlear filter of cochlear filter cepstral coefficients (CFCC) feature. The pitch tracking algorithm is used to distinguish the voiced and unvoiced segments in the audio, and then the CFCC coefficients are extracted for each voiced segment. The CFCC feature simulates the entire transmission process of signals in the cochlear basilar membrane using wavelet transformation. Finally, we use Pearson correlation coefficients (PCCs) and dynamic time warping (DTW) in combination to compare the similarity of voiced segments, accurately determining the tampered locations in the audio through threshold judgment. Through extensive experiments on relevant datasets, this algorithm achieves a precision rate of 98.39% and a recall rate of 98.00% in detecting audio without post-processing. Even when detecting audio that has undergone different post-processing, the precision and recall rates remain above 90%. Compared to existing methods, this approach not only achieves precise localization of replicated segments but also demonstrates superior experimental results. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.
