The development of artificial intelligence technology has driven the emergence of various innovations in human-machine interaction, one of which is the chatbot. A chatbot is software that can interact with humans through text or voice, creating the impression that they are communicating with real people. Currently, chatbots are very popular. This chatbot was developed as a collaboration between the team from Soegijapranata Catholic University as part of the Higher Education Community and KRS BP2P Java III within the Kedaireka Matching Fund platform. The chatbot that has been developed aims to provide information services related to the process of building self-built housing. The KRS BP2P Java III chatbot makes it easier for the community to enhance their understanding of self-reliance in fulfilling the need for decent housing. © 2024 IEEE.

Geothermal reservoirs are significant sources of renewable energy. Accurate geometric modeling of these reservoirs is essential for understanding the distribution of heat and fluid dynamics within them. This study aims to develop a geometric model of the Sibayak geothermal field using borehole data. Borehole data provide detailed geological information, which is crucial for constructing a realistic geometric model. The methodology of this research involves several key steps: the collection of borehole data from the Sibayak geothermal field, the construction of a 3D geometric model of the reservoir using COMSOL Multiphysics based on the borehole data, and the validation of the model through comparison with field data and previous research findings. The results indicate that the developed geometric model successfully identifies zones with high geothermal potential and provides an accurate depiction of the reservoir's boundaries and characteristics. Modeling the geometry of geothermal reservoirs using borehole data offers profound insights into the internal dynamics of the reservoir and can serve as a valuable tool for planning and optimizing geothermal energy exploitation. © 2024 Institute of Physics Publishing. CFD SIMULATIONS FOR TRAJECTORY PREDICTION OF AN UNDERWATER GLIDER UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF OCEAN CURRENTS

The Autonomous Underwater Glider (AUG) is equipped with a self-adjusting buoyancy engine, allowing it to modify its buoyancy and center of gravity. Through this capability, the AUG can control its motion and achieve both ascending and descending movements. The theoretical mechanism employed by the AUG for adjusting its depth is based on this motion control. However, as an energy-efficient underwater vehicle, the AUG primarily relies on ocean currents for propulsion, which significantly impacts its trajectory in terms of direction and speed. Therefore, trajectory planning plays an indispensable role in the AUG's mission of collecting oceanographic data, highlighting its critical importance. To address this issue, this research aims to apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) numerical simulations to predict the glider's trajectory under the influence of ocean currents. This analysis will help construct an appropriate operational mode for the underwater glider in various oceanic environments. Regarding the application of CFD to predict the underwater glider's trajectory influenced by ocean currents, the preliminary flow field simulation analysis and feasibility study have been completed. From the simulation results, it is evident that variations in ocean current velocity will have a substantial impact on the glider's initial motion attitude, horizontal speed, as well as the distance covered during each diving and ascending phase. The research findings are expected to significantly contribute to the design and development of a new domestic underwater glider. © 2023 Taiwan Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. SCOR (Supply Chain Operations Reference) model is a tool for diagnosing Supply Chain Management (SCM) that allows users to understand all processes in a business organization. This study aimed to analyze activities related to Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM), especially in the palm oil sector, and to determine the performance of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) at PT. Sutopo Lestari Jaya using the green score model. The results showed that the highest Green Objectives (GO) weight in environmentally friendly garden management was located on protected forest land used as plantation land by 38.82%, while waste minimization was found in Crude palm oil water content of 48%. Meanwhile, in minimizing and handling greenhouse gas emissions, the highest weight is found in the amount of fuel used in Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) shipments of 54.07%. For plantation management and palm oil management mills, the highest weight is in the percentage of water use per ton of FFB in PPKS 60.7%, while in waste management, the highest percentage lies in the standardized wastewater Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) of 38.8%. In maximizing the use of new and renewable energy, the highest weight lies in renewable energy per tonne of FFB and the use of solid waste (empty shells and shells) as a substitute for fossil fuels of 45.5% each. © 2022

A planing hull high-speed ferry with a stepped hull becomes a well-liked mode of water transportation for archipelago countries. On the other hand, the shape of steps on the bottom hull has not been recently taken into explicit consideration regarding the speed requirement and hydrodynamic properties. In this study, the step W shapes, were adopted to find the improved hydrodynamic performance in the planing conditions. To provide a more precise prediction of the pressure, velocity fields, and void fraction, the CFD was applied the Finite Volume Method (FVM) and coupled with Volume of Fluid Method (VOF) to capture air cavity The numerical conditions of the planing hull were trimmed by the stern with 2, and 3 degrees. This study discussed the air cavity that occurred behind the stepped area that can affect the hydrodynamic behaviour. © 2023 by the International Society of Offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE).

This paper analyzes the development pattern of 35 megacities from 1980 to 2020 and examines the impact of megacity's growth on the city system. We use primacy, urban concentration, Zipf's coefficient, and entropy to characterize the city system in a country with a megacity. Our analysis finds the following:(1) The growth rates of megacities are faster than the totals of the national population and national urban population in general;(2) the growth of megacities makes the city system diverge;(3) the development of megacities tends to be companied by the shrinking of small cities; and(4) emerging megacities has substantial impacts on urbanization strategy, urban planning, and policy.

Thermal comfort can be defined as the 'condition of mind that expresses satisfaction with the thermal environment.', and adaptive control measures comprise an adjustment to indoor environmental conditions based on occupant preferences, behavior, and feedback. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) in thermal comfort and adaptive control measures has the potential to significantly improve energy efficiency and occupant comfort in buildings. The adoption of the Working-from-home modality by several institutions and companies during and after the 2020 pandemic, accelerated the development of even more advanced and effective solutions in this area. This study, in its first phase, seeks to identify input parameters related to adaptive control measures adopted by the same occupants in two work environments (office building and residences) to promote personal thermal comfort contributing to the development of individual devices and IoT applications related to thermal comfort monitoring. © 2023 ITMA.

This study aims to analyze the effects of indoor environmental quality (IEQ) factors with simultaneous changes in illuminance and noise levels on building occupants’ physiological response and work performance. To this end, four scenarios with changes in illuminance and noise levels were set up, and brain wave indices and work performance measured through a Stroop test were conducted during the scenarios. First, the findings revealed that noise and the interaction between illuminance and noise affect the building occupants’ physiological response. Second, the illuminance was 150 lux, and the noise level was 40 dB, there was a correlation between the relative theta (0.685;p © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.

The Semarang City Government has issued a Mayor Regulation on Green Buildings since 2019. Since then the construction of buildings with a certain floor area in Semarang City must follow this regulation. Evaluating implementation constraints related to green building construction based on the experience of the development actors, is an important thing to do. This study aims to identify obstacles in realizing green buildings in the city of Semarang. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire survey of respondents from development actors involved in green buildings such as contractors, consultants and project owners and bureaucratic officials related to green building licensing. Data analysis was performed using descriptive analysis to reach agreement between respondents. Next, a hierarchy of these constraints will be sought. Constraints found in realizing green buildings are: lack of socialization from the city government, alternative materials, lack of best practices, experts, and financing. For this reason, a strategy is needed to overcome these obstacles from every aspect or based on a combined consideration of all aspects. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Building Information Modeling Applied to Daylight Dynamic Simulation Considering Local and Global Climate Change

The EN 17037:2018 standard, titled "Daylight in Buildings", is recognized as a step in the right direction concerning daylighting and has been used as the basis for the recently revised Brazilian standard. In this context, this study aims to delve into the understanding of the daylight performance in buildings in Brazil by analyzing the advancements and challenges in NBR 15215/15575:2022. Two methods will be employed: the computational daylight performance simulation method and the abacus method, following the revision of NBR 15575:2022, in a Housing of Social Interest (HIS) located in the city of Belem, Brazil. Since it is a digital prototype and not a physical one, the reliability of the simulations was verified by comparing the results obtained with the abacus method, which also allowed for an analysis of the case study using this alternative approach from the standard. The study aims to identify the best workflow for applying the standard, based on an investigation of dynamic simulation software and the impact of future-urban weather files, seeking to propose improvements to the standard. The results demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of building information modeling, specifically the AftabRad plugin, for dynamic simulations in accordance with normative criteria, as well as the need to include urban weather files in the standard. © 2024, The Authors.
