Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a type of dementia that leads to memory loss and impairment, which afects patients’ lives badly. It is not curable yet, but its progression can be slowed down if detected at earlier stages. In this research study, we propose a transfer learning-based convolutional neural network (CNN) model to classify magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) into one of four stages of Alzheimer's disease. One of the major limitations of the deep learning-based classification model is the non-availability of healthcare datasets related to AD. The widely used Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset has a major class imbalance issue. We propose a generative adversarial network (GAN) based data augmentation technique to overcome the data imbalance. This promotes the investigation of applying GANs to generate synthetic samples for minority classes in Alzheimer's disease datasets to enhance classification performance. The results show the progression in the overall classification process of AD.

A hydrographic survey can be a cumbersome sometimes. The data can be sparse, providing it can be costly, and it took a lot of manpower and time. Space-borne data like multispectral images can be a helpful tool towards hydrographic survey, especially in the shallow water area. The company like EOMAP and TCARTA make use of Satellite-Derived Bathymetry (SDB) as a tool and product. Would it be great if it also can be applied in Malaysia, especially on the low-risk job or survey planning? Enlarging the survey area and providing a continuous and detailed water depth information is the main objective in this research. In order to complement with convenience and cost reduction, the author used Landsat 8 "(free downloadable images)"in this research. Structuring the procedure is the central part of the process involving pre-processing and processing step until the final product obtained. In this research, the author used various kind of bathymetry algorithms such as Single-Band Algorithm (SBA), Green-Band Algorithm (GBA), and Stumpf. Moreover, the author also uses Principal Component Analysis (PCA) tool from ArcMap and Spear Relative Water Depth: Log-Ratio Transform tool from ENVI to derived bathymetry. All of this bathymetry algorithm gives out a different concept with a different statistical approach. The final result then will be compared and evaluated with Single-Beam Echosounder data (ground truth). © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Leading commodity development area is a developed area for one or a combination of superior commodities that comply with the land use characteristics that provide the highest farm household's income, communities, and the region. This research was aimed to determine and describe the factors which have a significant effect on the superiority of Tanjung Api-Api (TAA) area, measure and analyze of the superiority of TAA cultivation area for food crops,and formulate a grand strategy matrix for food crops development based on its regional. The descriptive methods, Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM), and Grand Strategy Analysis. The factors which affect the superiority of TAA cultivation area include ecological, socio-cultural, and economic factors. The result shows, rice and corn plants included in the SI category or suitable for cultivation in the TAA region with Soil Mapping Unit (SPT) value of 20.70%. Socio-cultural aspects that affect the development of food agriculture such as the labors, Village Unit Cooperative (KUD), and Farmers Group that support agricultural development. Rice and corn crops have 0.69 and 0.97 on the competitive advantage (PCR) value respectively, therefore the rice and corn plants are concluded to have a competitive advantage. The comparative advantages (DRCR) value shows 0.68 and 0.65 for rice and corn plants respectively, which have comparative advantages and have the potential to develop in TAA area. Food crops in the TAA area are in a good competitive position. The strategy that must be applied under these conditions is to support an aggressive growth policy (Growth-oriented strategy). © The Authors, published by EDP sciences, 2020.

We suggest a simple, practical device with a wireless sensor network system that can be used to record and display data from a spring oscillation system in real-time on a website. The HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor was utilized to detect changes in load position in the damped spring oscillation system, and the Node-MCU ESP266 was used to transmit data from sensor readings to the server over the internet network. The damping factor, damping coefficient, and spring damping frequency could be utilized to calculate the exponential function graph fitting outcome. © 2021 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Several studies have examined the connection between innovation, technology, and organizational culture in recent years. Management of technology and innovation is crucial to an organization's expansion and success. The development of an innovative organizational culture comes before technology and innovation management. This study's primary goal was to assess how organizational culture affects innovation in the Indian service sector. The study made use of a paradigm for understanding organisational culture created by Cameron and Quinn, which looks at culture as a collection of conflicting values from four angles. A descriptive survey research design was used in the investigation. Employees of service industries made up the study's population. More than twenty IT organizations participated in the survey, and 120 out of 180 respondents returned completed questionnaires. This indicated a response rate of 66%.The collected data was analyzed using inferential data analysis techniques and descriptive statistics. Tables and figures were created after analysis with IBM SPSS software. The results demonstrated that the strongest associations with innovation and technology were found in companies with flexible, collaborative, and employee-friendly cultures. Lastly, the study suggests areas for additional research, such as employing a new organizational culture model for the study or qualitative techniques for data collecting and analysis to reveal deeper cultural features.

Wastewater containing synthetic dyes poses a critical environmental hazard, necessitating the development of effective treatment techniques. Despite its promise as a photocatalyst, TiO2′s inability to efficiently absorb visible light limits its practical use. To overcome this limitation, oxygen vacancy (OV) engineering was carried out in TiO2 through solvothermal at temperatures of 150°C, 180°C, and 210°C. Comprehensive analyses confirmed a temperature-induced increase in crystallinity and OV concentration. Furthermore, photoluminescence analysis revealed mid-gap states that improve visible light absorption. Notably, the T150 sample achieved 93.43% degradation of methylene blue within 3 h under sunlight, outperforming commercial TiO2. The superior performance was attributed to a reduced bandgap energy, enhanced charge carrier separation, and increased generation of reactive oxygen species, all facilitated by an optimal concentration of OV. This study clarifies the interaction between photoluminescence and photocatalytic activity, highlighting OV engineering as a highly effective strategy for developing advanced TiO2-based materials for wastewater treatment. © 2025 Elsevier B.V.

This study aims to understand the willingness of urban communities in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi) to move to apartment dwellings, and a study was conducted using a quantitative survey method. The study aimed to analyze the sociodemographic factors influencing the decision to switch to vertical housing. The survey collected data from a sample of individuals representing the entire population in Jabodetabek. The participants in the study were selected from various locations within Jabodetabek, including Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi. These areas were chosen to comprehensively represent the metropolitan region and its urban communities. By including participants from different locations within Jabodetabek, the study aimed to capture individuals' diverse perspectives and experiences in this region. The survey covered a range of sociodemographic factors such as gender, income, education level, marital status, occupancy, and residence ownership. The participants were divided into two groups: those willing to pay for an apartment and those who wereilling to pay for an apartment and those not. By comparing the characteristics of these two groups, the study aimed to identify significant differences and understand the factors influencing the willingness to move to apartment dwellings. The study results showed significant differences in income level, education level, marital status, and occupancy between the two groups. Income level was the most significant factor affecting an individual's willingness to pay for an apartment. Additionally, the perception of better apartment productivity, which includes reduced transportation time and costs associated with work or other business purposes, increased the demand for apartments. Limited studies have explored how variations in climatic conditions affect the usability of outdoor spaces and the behavior of users within them. This study examines the relationship between microclimatic parameters and physiological equivalent temperature (PET), as well as the number of users of outdoor spaces in a university campus. Observations were made during daylight hours for six days in the spring and four days in the fall. Surveys in addition to semi-structured interviews were conducted with the students and analyzed to formulate an in-depth understanding of how variations in the microclimatic conditions affected their choices. Results of the correlational analysis show that amongst all measured climatic parameters only MRT and PET had a significant relationship with the number of students using the outdoor spaces. The semi-structured interviews showed that other subjective factors such as aesthetics and openness also have an impact on participants’ relationships with outdoor spaces. Additionally, the correspondence between heat sensation and PET values significantly differs from initial benchmarking and from similar studies conducted by other researchers. These differences may be attributed to variations in socio-economic levels between the target group of this study and previous ones. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Biocoagulants have gained attention as an alternative to chemical coagulants in water and wastewater treatment due to their ability to remove pollutant parameters such as turbidity, suspended solids, color, and organic compounds. Plant-based biocoagulants are currently the most promising due to their abundant availability and reliable performance. A proper preparation of plant-based biocoagulants is required to ensure the active compounds from the plants can be extracted. Plant raw materials are prepared into biocoagulants using drying and grinding, extraction, and purification. In mechanical preparation, drying and grinding exhibit great influence on the performance of plant-based biocoagulants due to the removal of moisture and higher contact with the carrier medium during dissolution. A smaller biocoagulant's size resulted in up to 78 % higher removal of turbidity. In chemical preparation, the oil needs to be removed before extracting the active ingredients to avoid low active compound extraction yields. The defatting of Moringa oleifera seeds showed an 18 % higher protein content. Salt and alcohol extractions were mentioned as superior extraction methods to obtain carbohydrate and protein from plant-based biocoagulants compared to water extraction, with up to a 5 % increment in turbidity removal. Preparation and pretreatment protocols have a great influence on the properties and performance of plant-based biocoagulants. Further extension of research on plant-based biocoagulants should address the problems in the initial characterization of plant material, standard pretreatment and preparation protocols, and real-scale application of plant-based biocoagulants. © 2023 The Author(s)

A decision support system is a solution to help provide decision recommendations in determining which options to choose as a solution, in this decision support system research, namely analyzing and comparing the Matching Profile method and the SAW (Simple Additive Weighting) method in providing the best choice solution in the case of determining teaching staff acceptance. Determination of Admission, The selected teaching staff, are teaching staff who are in accordance with the criteria and quality. In an educational institution, namely TPQ Anbata, it is a very important issue to get elected teaching staff. One way to get teaching staff who is in accordance with the cafeteria is determined by selecting or determining prospective teaching staff by paying attention to various assessment criteria so that the selected teaching staff is feasible. From the tests that have been carried out, the results obtained include all test cases, and the testing is appropriate. The results of the system calculation accuracy test show that the calculation of Matching Profile and SAW (Simple Additive Weighting Method carried out by the system with manual calculations is correct and the feasibility test. Appropriate to use in making decisions determining the recruitment of teachers than the profile matching method in Anbata TPQ. The difference is in the highest value in each method. In the profile matching method, the highest value is Salman Al Fariz with a value of 4.70 while in the SAW method the highest value is Ali Gufron with a value of 8,778., it can be concluded that the most appropriate method in determining the recruitment of teaching staff at TPQ Anbata is the Profile Matching Method. © 2020 IEEE.
