This study aims to analyse data and humidity outside. Data retrieval is taken from the HOBO MX2300 tool data recorder for external temperature and humidity. Then the data processing was analysed and analysed using a Microsoft Excel program in the form of graphs / fluctuating images that showed the average value, standard deviation, maximum value, and minimum value. Only from 6:00 to 8:30. On the 15th to the 17th of June the thermal comfort zone only occurs in the morning under 09.00. The highest maximum air temperature occurs on June 15 at 13.01-13.30. The lowest minimum value is on June 15 at 06.00-06.30. The results of the analysis then show the level of suitability of the data with the thermal comfort zone based on SNI (SNI) every day. © 2019 IOP Publishing Ltd.

Excessive vibrations on the floor slabs have an impact on the emergence of feelings of anxiety, worrying about the collapse of the building. From the results of visual observations, it was found that there is damage to the floor covering. This strongly indicates that there is a problem of deflection of the slab and/or floor beams, so this study is aimed at identifying the factors causing excessive vibrations on the floor slab, and recommending strategies and techniques for handling them. For this reason, the calculation of the frequency value of the floor plate vibration due to a combination of fixed and temporary loads acting on the building concerned. It was found that the natural fundamental frequency value of the existing slab is less than the standardized value i.e., 7.5 Hz. In addition, from the horizontal and vertical configuration of the building’s structural elements, it is known that the area of the floor slab that experiences excessive vibration is greater than 12 m2 so that the selected form of reinforcement is the addition of a structural column in the middle of the span of the main beam that supports the floor slab. Furthermore, a simulation of the calculation of the stability of the structure after the addition of the column is carried out. The simulation results show that the natural fundamental frequency value becomes greater than 7.5 Hz, i.e., 8,539 Hz. This proves that the excessive vibration on the floor slab is caused by a floor area that is too large so that the addition of a supporting column in the middle of the span of the main beam supporting the floor slab is proven to be able to eliminate excessive vibration.

Composite materials are a combination of several materials to form a new material with specific properties. Chemical compatibility of the constituent materials is a factor that affects the characteristics of composite materials. Currently, composite phase change materials (PCM) are commonly applied as thermal energy storage systems. This study investigated the characteristics of beef tallow/rice husk charcoal/plaster PCM composite. The weight fraction of rice husk charcoal used was 10%. To prevent leakage of beef tallow from the composite structure, the researcher used polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) to cover the tallow/RHC composite before mixing it with plaster material. As much as 30% of the tallow/RHC/PVAc composite weight fraction is integrated into the plaster. PCM composite was made by using a direct incorporation method. The FTIR test results on the PCM composites produced showed good chemical compatibility among different components. The scanning electron microscope results showed the formation of microcapsules where the rice husk charcoal and polyvinyl acetate functions as a wrapper/capsule for beef tallow. This composite is suitable for application in building walls as thermal energy storage.

Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) has a spirit to become a Conservation and International Reputation University is realized through strategic missions. One of the conservation-oriented implementation programs is H-BAT (Green, Clean and Healthy) program. In its implementation, there is a problem, namely the achievement of H-BAT program has not been maximized during the last 3 years in assessment. The objectives of this research are: (1) to identify of the potential and character of environmental support in the work units; (2) to determine the achievement of the indication of a green campus based on the assessment indicators on H-BAT program. This research was carried out in four stages: (1) Data collection; (2) Spatial data processing; (3) Non Spatial data processing; (4) Analysis (ecological, technical standards); The results achieved in June 2020 are as follows: FT got 87,50%, FE got 85,87%, FMIPA got 81,52%, BUHK got79,49%, FIP got 73,91%, LP3 got 69,23%, LP2M got 63,46%, FIS got 60,33%,PPS got 57,07%, FIK got 56,52%, FH got 52,72%, FBS got 49,46%, TIK got 40,38%, BPB got 34,62%, Library got 30,13%, Archive got 17,31%. From these results, it can be seen that there is a lack of maximum achievement due to, among others, the lack of guidance and technical assistance in the management of the unit. So it is necessary to complete governance guidelines and technical assistance that are more intensive in unit governance to achieve the goals of UNNES as a green campus.

This study presents a new method for assessing bacterial leaf blight (BLB) in paddy fields using multispectral UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) data through patch fragmentation analysis. Unlike traditional pixel-based methods, which often fail to capture the spatial context, our approach treats pixels as objects and analyzes their spatial relationships to evaluate BLB severity. We used six patch fragmentation metrics derived from binarized vegetation indices to classify BLB damage scores using a random forest algorithm. This method achieves high accuracy (AUC of 0.938) with a 0.5-meter sampling window, offering a more detailed assessment than conventional pixel-based analysis. This study highlights the benefits of incorporating the spatial context and improving BLB monitoring and management. This innovative approach allows agricultural stakeholders to gain valuable insights into the extent and severity of BLB disease infestation, enabling targeted intervention strategies for disease management and mitigation. © 2024, The Authors. Lithium-Ion Capacitor (LIC) has shown promising performance to meet the needs of high energy and power-density-energy storage system in the era of electric vehicles nowadays. The development of electrode materials and electrolytes in recent years has improvised LIC performance significantly. One of the active materials of LIC electrodes, activated carbon (AC), can be synthesized from various biomass, one of which is the water hyacinth. Its abundant availability and low utilization make the water hyacinth as a promising activated carbon source. To observe the most optimal physical properties of AC, this study also compares various activation temperatures. In this study, full cell LIC was fabricated using LTO based anode, and water hyacinth derived AC as the cathode. The LIC full cell was further characterized to see the material properties and electrochemical performance. Water hyacinth derived LIC can achieve a specific capacitance of 32.11 F/g, the specific energy of 17.83 Wh/kg, and a specific power of 160.53 W/kg. © 2020 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

We report a density-functional coupled with vibrational calculation on justifying the isomerization pathway of cyclopropene to propyne. The idea is to present the pathway in energy level diagram which the transition state is ensured by tracking a particular mode that supports the cyclic bond breaking and triple bond formation to occur. This mode decreases along the pathway and disappears at the transition state. To verify the designed pathway, the activation energy of the isomerization is used to find the rate constant with respect to experimental data at 500 K and 700 K by using transition state theory (TST). At those temperatures, TST predicts the rate constant at the same order of magnitude with the experimental result. It shows that the trend between calculation and experimental data is qualitatively in a good agreement, which implies that the designed pathway is justified. Furthermore, this study can be used as a guide if one needs to construct an isomerization pathway. © 2020 IOP Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.

In 2022, tobacco was the top export commodity, generating $106.3 million in sales. East Java Province contributes significantly to Indonesia's tobacco production, with an annual output of 188.6 thousand tons. Jember Regency is the area in East Java Province which is a Kasturi tobacco cultivation area. The productivity of Kasturi tobacco continues to decrease due to several factors that can affect the survival of the tobacco. This study aims to analyze the survival of Kasturi tobacco by creating stratified Cox and extended Cox models in order to handle factors that cannot fulfill the proportional hazard assumption. Based on the results of the analysis, the stratified Cox model is the best model with AIC and BIC values of 798.108 and 805.5748 respectively, while the extended Cox has AIC and BIC values of 840.2186 and 850.1732 respectively. Variables that can significantly affect the survival of Kasturi tobacco are the variable concentration of ZA fertilizer, pesticide concentration. The addition of ZA fertilizer must be appropriate, because if excessive it can cause poisoning of tobacco plants. Likewise with pesticides, if excessive it will cause damage to the leaves. This policy can increase the productivity of Kasturi tobacco. Then, Jember Regency contributes greater export capacity. • This paper aims to determine the factors that affect the survival of Kasturi tobacco plants in Jember • By using the extended Cox model, the best one is obtained using the Heaviside function with AIC and BIC values of 840.2186 and 850.1732, respectively • The stratified Cox model is better than the extended Cox model, which has AIC and BIC values of 798.108 and 805.5748, respectively © 2025 The Author(s)

Game development in 3D is mostly done by characters, items and the environment. Game items such as character weapons modeled in 3D will be the attraction of a game. In this paper, spear motion as a game items is modeled in 3D. Nonlinear Equations Six Degrees of Freedom (6 DOF) are used for mathematical models of spear motion. The parameters studied in the motion model are: geometry, mass and aerodynamics. Spear aerodynamic parameters were analyzed using the Datcom method. Numerical simulation of mathematical models of spear motion with variations in the initial velocity of the throw and the direction of the throw. From the results of numerical simulation, the maximum range R = 131.7 m at the initial velocity V0 = 40 m/s, the direction of throw (angle θ0 = 35 deg, angle φ0 = 10 deg, ψ0 = 0 deg). And the maximum height Hmax = 12.18 m is achieved at the initial velocity V0 = 20 m/s, direction of throw (angle θ0 = 35 deg, angle φ0 = 40 deg, angle ψ0 = 0 deg). © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

X-ray application of micro-computed tomography for biological sample test

Homemade micro-CT equipment has been successfully developed in the Physics Laboratory of Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The micro-CT was tested and could be used properly for non-destructive testing (NDT) using a phantom as the object. However, the application of the micro-CT for biological samples has not been investigated. Therefore, in this work, an investigation of the homemade micro-CT for biological samples was done. Tilapia fish was used an object. The fish was exposed to the X-ray using exposure factors of 45 kV, 32 mA, and 0.08 s. The object was rotated with rotation angle range of 0°-360° with increment of 1.40625° and the images at every rotation angle increment was recorded. The three-dimensional (3D) image was then reconstructed from the collection of the two-dimensional (2D) images obtained during rotation. The quality of the images was then analyzed using contrast to noise ratio method (CNR). The results showed that the highest CNR was obtained at the image taken with rotation angle of 315° which was 81.163. Therefore, it can be concluded that the homemade micro-CT equipment could be used for biological sample and can be further applied in other applications such as CT-scan.
