The quadcopter has a fairly simple mechanical design because it does not require other drives to perform various movements such as roll, pitch, and yaw. The simplicity of this mechanical design has a considerable impact on the complexity of its control. Therefore, it is necessary to have a good control method to maintain the stability of the quadcopter. The research aims to maintain stability of quadcopter by using a combination of the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) with the Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) method, where FLC is used to initialize the input of the PID method to find the quadcopter stability point. The application of fuzzy methods for the initial tuning of PID parameters has proven effective in enhancing the system's fundamental performance, such as overshoot, rise time, and settling time, compared to the conventional PID approach. The proposed method can reduce overshoot by over 20%, with reductions reaching up to 88% in yaw motion. Additionally, the Fuzzy-PID approach significantly improves stability, shortening the time to achieve steady-state by less than 1 seconds for all movements while PID did more than 2s for pitch and roll motions and over 1s for yaw motion. © 2024 IEEE.

Indonesian MSMEs in 2022 will begin to enter the transformational recovery phase. Various preparations must be made in order to adapt. One that has been done is to increase the number of MSMEs entering the digital ecosystem, such as the MSME marketplace. The MSME Marketplace is used for marketing various MSME products online. The MSME Marketplace must be supported by methods that are able to provide good and fast personal services, considering the types and variety of products offered are increasing in number and varying from time to time. Therefore, this study proposes the Porat_Rank method to produce product recommendations that match user interests quickly so that users are served well. The experimental results show that the Porat_Rank method is superior to the Copelan Score method both in producing recommendations and in processing speed. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents a systematic literature review on cloud computing migration strategies specifically tailored for the music industry. The motor impairments that stroke patients experience as a primary contributor to death and disability also impact their quality of life. Due to its characteristics as complex muscle signals, the Electromyograph (EMG) signal may be one of the markers in rehabilitation and a substitute that may be used to judge the success of rehabilitation. This study aims to analyze the complexity of EMG signals originating from the flexion of the flexor carpi radialis muscle with various weights indicating the rehabilitation state. It is important to monitor the progress of rehabilitation, and it can be done by using complexity analysis. The complexity of the EMG is examined in this work utilizing entropy measurement, namely Approximate Entropy (ApEn), Sample Entropy (SampEn), and Fuzzy Approximate Entropy (fApEn). We concentrated on the flexor carpi radialis muscle using flexion–extension exercises and varying the weight load. This study’s results indicate differences in the complexity of the EMG signal in the flexor carpi radialis when performing flexion–extension movements. Three differences showed a correlation based on the value of ApEN, SampEn, and fApEn. Complexity Analysis using fApEn showed the best correlation at R = 0.9966, which can be used to evaluate the rehabilitation process. The increase in weight was followed by the increase of the fApEn value, indicating that the value can be used to evaluate the rehabilitation process. The use of complexity analysis of EMG signal from flexion movement in flexor carpi radialis with various weights can be used to indicate the progress in the rehabilitation process. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Offsets Reconstruction Method for Clock Skew Measurement Over High-Jitter Communication

Measuring clock skew of devices over a network fully relies on the offsets, the differences between sending and receiving times. Offsets that shape a thick line are the most ideal one as their slope is directly the clock skew sought. When some outliers separate from the thick line due to higher delay jitter, current advanced approaches use the lower bound or the majority of offsets to derive accurate clock skew. However, outliers in offsets that shape parallel dotted lines, reduce the availability of offsets in the lower region, and scatter widely the offsets from their majority zone. These conditions drive the current skew estimation approaches to lose their accuracy. This paper then developed a new method, which reconstructs back the outliers into their origin positions, in order to provide ideal offsets for clock skew measurement. The experimental evaluations have demonstrated that the clock skew accuracy of dotted-lines offsets tampered by outliers was improved from 2.1 to 0.9 ppm by the proposed reconstruction method. For a broader purpose, the reconstruction method has been adjusted to be implemented also on non-dotted-lines offsets. The robustness of the proposed method for this case has also been exhibited by the very ideal reconstructed offsets that shape like a thick line. © The Author(s) 2025.

This research investigates the effectiveness of geopolymer concrete incorporating fly ash in environments rich in chlorides;in contrast to conventional Portland cement concrete (OPC). The study emphasizes essential characteristics such as workability, mechanical strength, capillary water absorption, open porosity, and chloride migration. The experiments demonstrated that geopolymer concrete exhibits a 30% enhancement in slump values, reflecting improved workability, and its compressive strength rose by 14.90–23.94% when compared with OPC. A significant reduction in binder content led to a notable decrease in capillary water absorption, highlighting a positive impact on long-term durability. With time, geopolymer concrete showed a reduction in open porosity and chloride migration coefficient, indicating better resistance to chloride penetration in marine settings. Although these outcomes underscore the potential of geopolymer concrete to improve structural durability, especially in marine infrastructure, additional optimization is required to tackle its relatively higher capillary water absorption and chloride migration during the initial stages. These results contribute to the ongoing investigation of sustainable building materials, offering valuable insights into geopolymer concrete’s ability to endure severe chloride exposure and serve as a durable solution for corrosion management in marine infrastructure. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Shiraz University 2024.

This study is conducted to compare three different cannulas;all purpose nasal cannula with 2 prongs, nasal pressure cannula with 2 prongs and single port nasal cannula which are commonly used for capnography device. These cannulas or sometimes called as nasal prong is connected to the device via nose of subjects studied. This procedure is a part of respiratory study to monitor lungs condition and breathing pattern. This study involves 47 subject where the exhaled breath was recorded to make comparison and choose the most suitable and effective for capnography waveform analysis. Utilizing Statistical Package for the Social sciences (SPSS) to find the normality of all the nasal cannula data based on capnogram waveform. The result from the analysis shows that the frequency distribution for type 1 nasal cannula which is also known as all-purpose nasal cannula had the feature values closer to the standard value. Our study proofs that all purpose nasal cannula sampling is the most suitable to capture exhaled breath for monitoring respiratory conditions. © 2023 IEEE.

The peri-urban area possesses mixed characteristics of rural and urban areas,i.e.,agricultural,and built-up *** review explains various themes and concepts of peri-urban areas and the importance of peri-urban agriculture(PUA)as an ecosystem service(ES)for their surrounding *** methodological approach is a systematic literature search and explanatory review of books and journal *** focus of the discussion is as follows:(1)quantification of review results,(2)urbanization pressures,peri-urban,and governance,(3)two different concepts about the peri-urban area,(4)protection of PUA and their resilience,and(5)role of PUA in providing ESs to other *** review shows that PUA is more crucial in urban areas than in rural areas in terms of food supply,ecology and biodiversity preservation,disaster mitigation,and *** of the primary causes of PUA loss is massive urban expansion,which entails the conversion of agricultural land in peri-urban areas into built-up ***,we suggest that every country should develop a peri-urban management *** argue that sociocultural biases in PUA have resulted in many institutional constraints on peri-urban management being incorporated within existing political and regulatory frameworks,including planning practices and longstanding laws and regulations.

In recent years, research has been conducted to establish a method for quickly and appropriately determining damage to buildings during an earthquake using sensors, and it’s useful to appropriately evaluate the maximum and residual displacement during an earthquake. The purpose of this study is to propose a disaster assessment method using a satellite positioning system that directly measures the response displacement of a building from satellite positioning information. In this paper, the positioning accuracy is verified when calculating the relative displacement using two movable vibration tables that assume the top floor of a building and the ground surface under earthquake. © 2024 Architectural Institute of Japan. The purpose of this study is to focus on the indicators related to motivation in the Work Mind, and to organize the concepts by Pile Sort experiments using the sentences of the question items that compose each indicator. By polymerizing the personal conceptual system by Self-Organizing Map, the map of the Work Mind with some degree of completeness and generality is drawn. It is expected that this map will be a material for getting the general picture of the Work Mind and will be treated as a ruler when designing and operating a better workplace. © 2022 Architectural Institute of Japan.
