The problem of environmental pollution especially urban water pollution becomes major issue in Indonesia. The cause of water pollution is not only from industrial factory waste disposal but also other causes which become pollution factor. One cause of water pollution is the existence of agricultural activities with the use of the amount of pesticides that exceed the threshold. As regulated in Government Regulation No. 82/2001 on Water Quality Management and Water Pollution Control, it is necessary to manage water quality and control water pollution wisely by taking into account the interests of current and future generations as well as the ecological balance. To overcome the problem of water pollution due to agricultural activities, it is necessary to conduct research on phytoremediation technique by utilizing eceng gondok plant. It is excepted that using this phytoremediation technique can reduce the problem of water pollution due to the use of pesticides on agricultural activities. © 2018 The Authors, published by EDP sciences.

The development of the smartphones that rapidly increasing, and high smartphone Users as a tool to make a lot of information, make emergence of instant messaging applications with a variety of options for use. Telegram, as one of the instant messaging application that is fairly new, offering in its various features compared to other instant messaging applications, so it can grow rapidly and much in demand in only 2 years. One of the interesting features is the Bot telegram, a special account without number that can handle Command from the User and gives answers appropriate to Command functionality. The account serves as the interface of the running system that communicate via Telegram Bot API. This study seeks to build a Bot telegram with database to built The Online Test application uses Telegram Bots Version 1.0. In each lecture meeting, a Lecturer can make a short test in the form of multiple choices to review the material at the previous meeting and get information about what percentage of students understand the material that has been taught before. We can use the application to send realtime messages to facilitate the test. Of course, which supports the creation of bots easily to add features that did not yet exist. Of the many we chose Telegram to be an online test environment by utilizing the Bot creation facilities provided by Telegram. This article will be a guide that makes it easier for lecturers to give a simple test at the beginning of the meeting, so that they can attract students' daily grades. And in order to be more interactive there are features of student value progress reports that can also be accessed individually so that students can know the progress of their learning outcomes.

The Black Hole Explorer (BHEX) is a next-generation space very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) mission concept that will extend the ground-based millimeter/submillimeter arrays into space. The mission, closely aligned with the science priorities of the Japanese VLBI community, involves an active engagement of this community in the development of the mission, resulting in the formation of the Black Hole Explorer Japan Consortium. Here we present the current Japanese vision for the mission, ranging from scientific objectives to instrumentation. The Consortium anticipates a wide range of scientific investigations, from diverse black hole physics and astrophysics studied through the primary VLBI mode, to the molecular universe explored via a potential single-dish observation mode in the previously unexplored 50-70 GHz band that would make BHEX the highest-sensitivity explorer ever of molecular oxygen. A potential major contribution for the onboard instrument involves supplying essential elements for its high-sensitivity dual-band receiving system, which includes a broadband 300 GHz SIS mixer and a space-certified multi-stage 4.5K cryocooler akin to those used in the Hitomi and XRISM satellites by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency. Additionally, the Consortium explores enhancing and supporting BHEX operations through the use of millimeter/submillimeter facilities developed by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, coupled with a network of laser communication stations operated by the National Institute of Information and Communication Technology. Catalytic cracking of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic waste and palm fibre mixtures using Ni-USY zeolite catalyst

This research was carried out to produce fuel (Oil Liquid Poduct/OLP) from catalytic cracking of a mixture of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and fiber waste from palm oil. USY zeolite was previously ion-exchanged by three levels of Ni-metal concentration (1%, 2%, 3%) before used as catalyst in the cacking process. The catalytic cracking was carried out at rasio of sample to catalyst was 6:1, three levels of temperature (400°C, 425°C and 450°C) and three levels of reaction time (10, 20 and 30 minutes).The SEM images and EDX spectra of Ni-USY zeolite catalysts showed that all catalysts were in crystalline form of FAU framework. The highest of OLP percentage, 24.5%, was produced by catalytic cracking at 450°C for 10 minutes using Ni-USY prepared by ion-exchange using 2% concentration of Nickel Nitrate solution.

Urban Flood Resilience through Spatial Plan in Bandung City, Indonesia

According to New Urban Agenda, the spatial plan has been promoted as an instrument to strengthen urban resilience. In the context of urban flood resilience, flood management measures could be incorporated into the spatial plan to address inundation and flood risks. However, the existence of a spatial plan does not necessarily reduce inundation and flood risks due to the ineffectiveness of spatial plan implementation and/or insufficient flood management measures. This study aims to examine flood management measures within Bandung's spatial plan in achieving urban flood resilience in the future. We combine flood management measures framework and characteristics of urban system resilience as an analytical framework. The effectiveness of flood management measures is highly associated with the topographic characteristics and the combination of measures selected in suitable locations. We use thematic analysis to identify flood management measures in Bandung's Spatial Plan and compare the result with the spatial distribution of future inundation and flood risks data from the previous study. We reveal that flood management measures in Bandung's spatial plan have not been selected and located based on ecological constraints and future inundation information. This study demonstrates the importance of flood risks information to formulate an effective spatial plan for urban flood resilience.

Emissions of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2eq) will continue to increase along with human activities that continuously carry out land conversion activities, increased use of vehicles, increased waste, and other activities. This study aims to analyze the factors causing an increase in carbon dioxide emissions in urban areas and plant-based control using causal loops with a dynamic systems approach. Through the analysis method using the causal loop, then determined the cause and effect relationship of each CO2eq emission source variable and its control efforts in Prabumulih City. The results of this study describe the causal loop relationship, both positive and negative relationships between variables from urban CO2eq emission sources and emission control by optimizing plant species as an absorber of CO2eq emissions.

The purpose of this study is to Minimize the purchase cost for each food from the catering menu. Therefore, raw material inventory control method is needed to plan arrival schedule, order schedule, and the amount of ordering of each foodstuff. The technique of deterMining the amount of ordering (lotting technique) used there are three, namely the least unit cost technique, the lot for lot technique and the least total cost technique. The results of this study indicate that the company can Minimize the cost of purchasing food based on lead time, storage time limit, and optimal lotting techniques. Lead time is the period between the order to the delivery time, the storage time limit is how long the best time required for the quality of foodstuffs are maintained, while the lotting technique is the optimal size of order quantity. The lotting technique chosen for each type of food material is different. The cost of purchasing the food consists of the price of the foodstuff, the ordering fee for the type of material and the storage cost for the type of foodstuff. There are 16 types of foodstuffs with the cost of purchasing the smallest raw material with the lot for lot techniques. There are 29 types of foodstuffs with the cost of purchasing the smallest raw materials using the least unit cost techniques. And 10 types of foodstuffs with the least total cost technique as a lotting technique with the purchase of the smallest raw material. Of the 55 types of food raw materials, the company was able to save the cost of purchasing groceries of 33,006,371.75 IDR per month. Of course, in order to apply this planning, the company must provide facilities in order to extend the life of the foodstuff in accordance with predeterMined lead time and to ensure the quality of the foodstuff is guaranteed. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Imagining a motion without doing the actual movement is known as Motor imaginary (MI). However, translating MI as an input for BCI that control the Assistive Technology (AT) device was a challenging method due to the extensive training required, poor user engagement, and visual feedback response delays. For a person who has difficulties to imagine without visual stimulation, more training should be conducted. Even with a visual stimulus, sometimes a person still finds it hard to distinguish between one movement and another. So, finding a suitable input to control an AT device that suitable for someone who has extremely limited movement is very challenging. In the other hand, EEG signal had been proven sufficient in detecting facial expression. Even though the EEG signal contains EMG facial artifact and considered as an unwanted signal for BCI, facial movement artifact could become a compensator signal for EEG based Human Computer Interface (HCI) system to improve efficiency. This study aims to develop HCI systems to distinguish three different movements (forward, backward, and stop) EEG signals that recorded from EEG EMOTIV Epoc based on different facial expression. This HCI system could bring benefit if it is implemented for AT device, such as rollator since the user could easily distinguish different movement without any visual stimuli required so could reduce an extensive training before usage and could improve the quality of life people with limited extremity movement.

In this paper, we have investigated the effect of the work function of transparent conducting oxides (TCO) on the performance of a-Si:H p-i-n solar cells, including open circuit voltage (VOC), short circuit current (JSC), fill factor (FF) and conversion efficiency, using AFORS-HET software. The simulation has focused on two layers: front contact work function (ΦTCO-front) and back contact work function (ΦTCO-back) with various band energy gap from 4.7 eV to 5.3 eV and 4.2 eV to 4.9 eV respectively. From the simulation results, we know that the work function of TCO greatly affects the performance of solar cells such as Voc, Jsc, FF and conversion efficiency. By optimization, we arrive at results of Voc, Jsc, FF and conversion efficiencies of 0.88 V, 8.95 mA / cm2, 65% and 5.1% respectively, by using ΦTCO-front of 5.2 eV. When ΦTCO-front > 5.2 eV, the values of VOC, FF and conversion efficiency have been saturated, while the value of the J sc actually begins to decrease. Furthermore, when the ΦTCO-back is 4.3 eV, we get the best results for VOC, Jsc, FF and conversion Efficiency of 0.9 V, 8.96 mA / cm2, 73 % and 5.9 % respectively. When ΦTCO-back > 4.3 eV, the values of VOC, FF and conversion efficiency begin to decrease, while the value of the Jsc does not change significantly. These optimizations may help for producing low cost high efficiency p-i-n solar cells experimentally. © 2019 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, Switzerland.

Indonesia is the largest country of oil palm production in the world. The oil palm by-product is still containing almost 80% of carbohydrates, such as cellulose and hemicellulose. This study aimed to optimize the enzymatic degradation of oil palm leaves in order to achieve zero waste of oil palm biomass by-product. Sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution was used to isolate hemicellulose extraction from oil palm leaves. Various concentrations of NaOH such as 2 M, 2.5 M, 3 M, 3.5 M and 4 M and the reflux times of 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours were used to optimize hemicellulose extraction. The optimum condition for hemicellulose extraction was 3 M NaOH and reflux time was 6 hours, while the yield at that condition was 48.94 % (w/w). The extracted hemicellulose is then hydrolyzed by a xylanolytic enzyme from recombinant Escherichia coli DH5α (namely pTP510). Temperatures of incubation were varied 50°C, 60°C, 70°C, and 80°C for 24 hours at pH 6. The hydrolysis result was analyzed using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). Xylose was produced at an optimum temperature of 60°C (120.231 ppm), arabinose at 50°C (26.265 ppm) whereas xylo-oligosaccharide at 50°C (280.465 ppm).
