Bigdata Analytics on Diabetic Retinopathy Study (DRS) on Real-time Data Set Identifying Survival Time and Length of Stay

In this paper, we had analyzed a large scale Diabetic data sets for several patients to find the length of time taken for treatment for each class of Diabetes and the risk of re-admission of diabetic patients performing Bigdata analytics, the type of diabetes and its outcome which acted as a high risk sample of patient data sets. We have collected and integrated different sources of diabetic information for several patients, from primary and secondary treatment information to administrative information, to analyze novel view of patient care processes such as type of treatments and every patient behaviors on which results multifaceted nature of chronic care that we take into our account to predict the survival factors and length of stay. Nowadays by using electronic medical equipments with high quality and high degree calibrations, we are able to gather large amounts of real-time diabetic data sets. The requires the usage of distributed platforms for making BigData analysis that results on making decisions based on available data and its trends. This type of Bigdata analysis allows geographical and environmental information of patients’ enables the capability of interpreting the ethnicity of data gathered and extract new analysis to identify survival options and treatment timelines (LOS) from them.

Diabetic Retinopathy Detection Based on Eigenvalues of the Hessian Matrix

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a medical condition caused by fluctuating insulin level in the blood which causes vision loss in case of severity. Timely treatment of such risks requires identification of the first clinical symptoms like microaneurysms (MAs) and hemorrhages (HMAs). The presence of those symptoms are visible in the digital color photographs of the retina and appear as round dark red spots in the image. In this paper, two approaches in the detection of MAs and HMAs are proposed. First, the semi automated approach applies semi automated hessian-based candidate selection algorithm (SHCS) followed by thresholding to detect true MAs and HMAs. The automated approach applies automated hessian-based candidate selection algorithm (AHCS) followed by feature extraction and SVM classification that uses twenty images for training manually annotated by medical domain experts. Implementations of both the approaches have been tested on real world images from retinal scan. From the results, the detection rate of automated algorithm when compared with that of the semi automated algorithm has been found to be significantly lesser with a probability p<0.005.

Graphs are common data structures used to represent / model real-world systems. Graph Mining is one of the arms of Data mining in which voluminous complex data are represented in the form of graphs and mining is done to infer knowledge from them. Frequent sub graph mining is a sub section of graph mining domain which is extensively used for graph classification, building indices and graph clustering purposes. The frequent sub graph mining is addressed from various perspectives and viewed in different directions based upon the domain expectations. In this paper, a survey is done on the approaches in targeting frequent sub graphs and various scalable techniques to find them.

Single Sign on Mechanism Using Attribute Based Encryption in Distributed computer Networks

Single Sign On (SSO) is an authentication mechanism that enables legal user with a single credential to be authenticated by multiple service providers in a distributed computer networks. SSO obtains credential from trusted authorities i.e., Smart Card Producing Center (SCPC) and Trusted Credential Privacy (TCP) which is used for mutual authentication and authorization of legal users. Chang-Lee coined a new SSO scheme which makes use of SCPC for mutual authentication and session key establishment whereas Schnorr signature makes use of TCP which generates and verifies the signature for user's authentication. RSA algorithm and Attribute Based Encryption (ABE) is used for encryption and decryption of messages in which ABE tends to be more efficient than RSA based algorithm. ABE is a new public key based on one-to-many encryption that allows users to decrypt the message based on set of attributes and access policies. Decryption is an expensive process and this ABE system eliminates the decryption overhead using outsourced decryption. Integrity of data is maintained by verification of the cipher text which guarantees that the encrypted and decrypted files are same and original message is recovered using hash technique in case of any modifications in the file.

For today's most demanding service of cloud computing, there are many tasks required to be executed by the available resources to achieve best performance, reduce response time and utilize resources. There is a need of designing a new task scheduling algorithm that outperform appropriate allocation map of task. to achieve these challenges. As Load Balanced Min-Min Algorithm selects the task with minimum completion time and assigns it to appropriate resource, it sometimes does not produce better makespan and does not utilize resources effectively. This paper represents study of variety of task scheduling algorithms and modification of Load balanced Min-Min (ELBMM) algorithm for Static Meta-Task Scheduling. The modified algorithm is built based on comprehensive study of the impact of Load balanced Min-Min algorithm for Static Meta-Task Scheduling in grid computing. Enhanced Load balanced Min-Min algorithm (ELBMM) is based on Min-Min strategy and tasks rescheduling to use the unutilized resources effectively. It selects the task with maximum completion time and assigns it to appropriate resource to produce better makespan and utilize resource effectively.

Energy Efficient Neighbor Coverage Protocol for Reducing Rebroadcast in MANET

Wireless networks adapt easily to changes and offers flexibility in the configuration of the network. In MANET, each node will change its location dynamically and configure itself according to the environment. An effective mechanism for route discovery in such networks is broadcasting, but routing overhead associated with broadcasting can be large in high dynamic networks. To reduce this routing overhead in MANETs, a neighbor coverage based probabilistic rebroadcast protocol is used. To determine the rebroadcast order, a novel rebroadcast delay is used and it obtains the more accurate additional coverage ratio by sensing neighbor coverage knowledge. The rebroadcast probability is calculated by merging the additional coverage ratio and connectivity factor. In the proposed method Energy Efficient Neighbor Coverage Protocol(EENCP) is introduced. In this, the node does not forward RREQ unless there is sufficient energy (battery lifetime), and until the node density in its surrounding exceeds a particular threshold. These two parameters are defined taking into consideration various statistics. EENCP analyzes these two parameters, when implementing routing discovery, and avoiding the unnecessary information sending efficiently and avoid unnecessary information transfer.

Mobile Ad hoc networks (MANET) allow a set of wireless hosts to exchange information without any special infrastructure. The projct entitled “ Energy Optimization in Manets using On-Demand Routing Protocol” motivates the need for energy management in ad hoc wireless networks. Limited battery power is one of the most important issues in mobile ad hoc network as the mobile nodes operate in limited battery power. Also there occurs a problem of broken links due to the lack of energy which cause disorder in network system. Such problem occurs due to the unawareness of energy of mobile neighbor nodes. This paper presents the implementation of Adaptive HELLO messaging scheme to determine the local link connectivity information for monitoring the link status between nodes along with the incorporation of Dynamic On Demand Routing Protocol to reduce the energy consumption of mobile nodes to certain extent.

In the real world the Scheduling of Jobs in industries is provided without any idle time which is very tedious. Practically it becomes difficult when any of the spare part has started to malfunction and has to be changed in the machine then some idle time is needed in order to undergo the change. In this proposed work some amount of idle time is allotted to schedule the jobs in a single machine which includes three stages namely scheduling strategy, inserting idle time and optimizing the net penalty value of all the jobs.

The matter of great concern is that there exists wider gap between the proportion of the technologies generated by the public agricultural research system and technologies adopted by the farmers in India. One of the vital reasons for such wide gap is due to the lack of an appropriate extension/technology transfer model in agriculture that could establish better linkage between scientists and farmers in order to facilitate effective dissemination in a timely manner. Hence there is a need to develop suitable approach for technology transfer in agriculture. In order to bridge the gap between the technologies and the farming community, e-Velanmai project has been introduced. Under e-Velanmai, various applications and the projects are developed. Agricol, is one such application that can bridge the gap and it helps to provide the farming community with better solutions for the diseased plants in quickly manner.
