This project will check the presence or the absence of masks on the face of a person. Enhancing Object Detection Robustness In Adverse Weather Conditions

Fundamental applications in autonomous cars, robots, and surveillance systems include object detection for safety reasons such as recognizing vehicles, pedestrians, trees, street poles, and buildings. However, one of the major challenges it faces from adverse weather conditions like rain, haze, and fog through deterioration of accuracy and an increase in safety risks such as traffic accidents. This paper proposes an enhanced object detection system to improve its robustness and accuracy in challenging environments. The proposed approach effectively addresses the problem of poor image quality due to adverse weather conditions by using unsupervised domain adaptation and including a Quasi-Translation Network and Feature Calibration Network in the YOLO(You Only Look Once) framework. It attempts to leverage the success made in CNNs(Convolutional Neural Networks) and mass amounts of datasets in order to adapt YOLO-series detectors in the best possible way, achieving object detection under challenging environmental conditions with precision and speed. Experimental results demonstrate that the solution proposed outperforms existing models in terms of adaptability and accuracy, providing a scalable and reliable solution for autonomous systems to enhance overall safety and operational efficiency in real-world environments.

Traditional disease diagnosis methods often struggle with symptoms-based datasets containing categorical data, leading researchers to favor boosting algorithms like CatBoost for their computational efficiency;despite potential limitations in accuracy. To overcome these challenges, this study proposes a novel approach integrating ensemble boosting with traditional naive Bayesian techniques. Recognizing the risk of overfitting with pure ensemble methods, the model strategically blends non-linear models, including XGBoost, to assign weights to symptoms based on disease impact. The blending process, guided by XGBoost decision-making, significantly improves model accuracy compared to single-boost strategies. Preprocessing involves handling categorical data and missing values, enhancing the model's robustness. During the process of blending, the decision of XGBOOST plays an important role. The clustering of datasets is a widely used technique in unsupervised machine learning. The cluster quality evaluation is a tricky problem because external validation is usually not possible for clustering. This happens due to the unavailability of external proof. Although there are many methods developed and experimented with to validate the results obtained from clustering, it is always preferred to use more than a few cluster validity measures. The big data usually contain a high percentage of noise in it, making it necessary to use some additional techniques to incorporate while clustering big data. In this work, we have clustered document big data using fuzzy logic-based enhancement of traditional K-Means and K-Medoids. This work has suggested the Ensembling of seven different cluster quality validity measures to determine the best quality of fuzzy clusters. The Reuters standard document dataset is clustered using different cluster numbers, and the proposed ensemble methodology is proven to determine optimal numbers of clusters. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Flow across an array of solid obstructions is a common phenomenon observed in many applications such as multiphase flows, heat exchangers, and environmental flows. In this work, we aim to train deep learning models and to predict the time evolution of unsteady flow fields in a domain of randomly arranged 2D cylinders at Reynolds number 50. Two different approaches are used and compared in this paper, dynamic mode decomposition (DMD) which is a dimensionality-reduction algorithm based on singular value decomposition (SVD) and long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks. In both cases, the model is trained on the first 165 time steps and then is tested on predicting the next 300 time steps. Two flow fields with different spectral characteristics are used to compare the performance of the two techniques. The LSTM architecture owing to its ability to learn nonlinear dynamics performs better than the DMD algorithm in the case with more temporal time scales present. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Today the persistence of plant and plant diseases is a substantial problem for cultivators, disease diagnosis is important in the farm. To preserve the production of crops, adequate consideration is a must. To isolate and detect infections in conventional situation, a lot of workforce, time, and frequent surveillance of the farm is involved. If no proper safety measures are not taken in protecting the crops, then it may damage the production often diseases make the plants weak by interrupting the photosynthesis. Particularly in regions hit by flooding, precise semantic segmentation of aerial photographs is essential for post-disaster evaluation and urban planning. The high-resolution aerial photography collection FloodNet, created for pixel-by-pixel segmentation of flooded and non-flooded landscapes, is presented in this work. Aerial photos taken from various geographic regions make up the collection, and segmentation masks are used to detect flooded roads, houses, cars, plants, and other vital infrastructure. In order to conduct semantic segmentation on aerial photos and capture the fine-grained information necessary for flood damage assessments, the suggested model makes use of a U-Net architecture. Morphological post-processing is also used to improve object delineation and smooth segmentation borders. The model showed consistent performance with little overfitting, achieving training accuracy of 84% and validation accuracy of 81% over 200 epochs. Effective generalization to unknown data was demonstrated by the validation loss stabilizing at 0.55 and the training loss declining from 1.1 to 0.45. The findings show that the suggested method can reliably identify and categorize areas damaged by flooding from aerial photos, enabling automated flood assessment and speeding up disaster relief activities. There is a lot of promise for integrating this model and dataset combination into real-time catastrophe monitoring, urban planning, and geospatial analytic pipelines.

This research paper is about the effectiveness of a fusion of machine learning and artificial intelligence into smart irrigation systems in terms of both safety and benefit of the environment and the economy in farming. We've experienced a intensive process of experiment and application of this succeeded method in a real world scenario and we've also detailed the performance of the dynamic irrigation scheduling and the adapter sensor network optimization. Results indicate a significant improvement in key metrics: scheduling was done dynamically which on average was a 10% rise in crop yield and 15% water saving, on the other hand, sensor network optimization with adaptive technology resulted into a 15% increase in cover area and 20% improvement achieved in data transmission reliability. Furthermore, the introduction of the smart irrigation system got impressive results signified by a 10 kg more production per hectare, irrigation efficiency that rose from 70% to 85%, and saving 20% of the water consumed. This calls to mind the capability of cutting-edge technologies to contribute to innovative water management paradigms, improved resource use, and security in food production in face of unpredictable climatic variability. ©2024 IEEE.
