His research focuses on science literature and media technologies. His books include Nanovision: Engineering the Future (2008) Mondo Nano: Fun and Games in the World of Digital Matter (2015) and Respawn: Gamers Hackers and Technogenic Life (2015). Katherine Buse is an assistant professor of Media Studies at the University of Chicago. Her research focuses on digital media the environmental humanities and the cultures of science and technology. Her current book project Speculative Planetology: Science Culture and the Building of Model Worlds tells the story of how the sciences and the arts co-constructed a toolkit for thinking about planets as whole systems. Ranjodh Singh Dhaliwal is Ruth and Paul Idzik College Chair in Digital Scholarship and an assistant professor of English and Film Television and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame. His work spans media theory science and technology studies and literary criticism. His current book project Rendering: A Political Diagrammatology of Computation shows how our cultural politico-economic and epistemic formulations crystallize into hardware and software architectures. Melissa Wills is a visiting scholar in the Department of Science and Technology Studies at the University of California Davis. She completed her PhD in English at UC Davis in 2021. Her research addresses the relationship between the life sciences and science fiction. Her current book project Ruptures: Life without Germs in the Microbiome Era examines microbiology's debt to the imagination of germ-free worlds. Raida Aldosari is the lead artist on the Foldit: First Contact development team. She received her BS in Nutrition Science from the University of California Davis in 2018. She has experience as a freelance graphic designer and as a project manager for nutrition training and courses.

作者: KwanMyung Kim Kun‐Pyo Lee Finishing his Ph.D. research in Industrial Design at KAIST while serving as an assistant professor in the School of Design and Human Engineering at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute Science and Technology) Korea. He received a BSc and MSc and completed a PhD course in industrial design from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 1992 1994 and 2010 respectively. He has a strong practical background stretching from design to engineering to business having been involved in developing products and machine systems for 13 years as a product designer design engineer and founder of a venture company. As a researcher and practitioner he is interested in integrating design and engineering knowledge for design‐driven product and product‐service innovation. Professor in the department of industrial design at KAIST and the director of its Human Centered Interaction Design Lab. He also serves as president of the International Association of Societies of Design Research. Lee was the executive vice president and head of the corporate design center for LG Electronics and has worked on various research projects with many of the world's leading companies and organizations such as LG Electronics Samsung Electronics Johnson and Johnson and Volkswagen as well as for government organizations. He has served on the advisory boards of several organizations and journals in Korea and abroad.

作者: M. Feemster D.M. Dawson A. Behal W. Dixon Matthew Feemster received the B.S degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University Clemson South Carolina in December 1994. Upon graduation he remained at Clemson University and received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1997. During this time he also served as a research/teaching assistant. His research work focused on the design and implementation of various nonlinear control algorithms with emphasis on the induction motor and mechanical systems with friction present. He is currently working toward his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at Clemson University. Darren M. Dawson was born in 1962 in Macon Georgia. He received an Associate Degree in Mathematics from Macon Junior College in 1982 and a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1984. He then worked for Westinghouse as a control engineer from 1985 to 1987. In 1987 he returned to the Georgia Institute of Technology where he received the Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering in March 1990. During this time he also served as a research/teaching assistant. In July 1990 he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) at Clemson University where he currently holds the position of Professor. Under the CAM director's supervision he currently leads the Robotics and Manufacturing Automation Laboratory which is jointly operated by the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering departments. His main research interests are in the fields of nonlinear based robust adaptive and learning control with application to electro-mechanical systems including robot manipulators motor drives magnetic bearings flexible cables flexible beams and high-speed transport systems.
